Not always a good press!

Estate agents don't always get a good press and there are firms where that's justified I realise, but our experience with Fine & Country bucked that trend. There were some major hiccups during our move process but Paula was there to support us at every step of the way. She was terrier-like (no offence Paula!) in that she wouldn't let go of anything - she followed up, chased up, called lawyers and did whatever was needed to find out what was going on and push our sale through. We always felt that we had good advice, were fully informed and, most importantly from our point of view, we had the impression that Paula was fighting our corner. Overall, a completely professional service from everyone that we had contact with at Fine & Country, and one which I'd thoroughly recommend.

F & C Rugby - highly recommended

The team at F&C in Rugby have been outstanding. Whenever we have phoned the office, our call is always dealt with in a polite and friendly manner by all members of staff and our queries or questions resolved. Our sale was a long and complicated one due to unforeseen difficulties down the chain. We have now exchanged contracts and are delighted to be at the finishing post with thanks Graham and especially to Liz who spent many many hours on the phone getting answers and always reporting back. Her calm and confident manner is always reassuring and her professionalism shines out.

Brilliant service from Clara. The only agent (of three) to get credible viewings and sell our house at a time when the market was tricky! Definitely the premium option in Birmingham - stunning marketing materials, a creative approach to finding buyers and Clara went above and beyond, even booking & communicating with our buyer’s surveyor to get the sale over the line. From Julie taking the time to show us around on a Sunday because we were travelling back from Brighton and could only do viewings at weekends, to the daily calls with Philippa to answer questions and keep us fully updated - she even helped get the number of a local farmer who could help clear the roads of snow the day we moved! The service and support that Liz and Nicola provided us during our recent move was nothing short of superb and really emphasises that you get what you pay for. Whereas the selling of the house was carefully planned and prepared for, with target buyers ready to be approached, selling our home was just the beginning.From the point that we had accepted an offer, Liz and Nicola connected us with a trusted conveyance lawyer and surveyor company, best suited to our needs and with whom they had a good working relationship. These relationships paid real dividends in expediting the proceedings.Both were available on the phone whenever we needed help and contacted us whenever there was an update. We felt up to speed and supported the whole way through the process. We believed that moving home is the one of the most stressful events in peoples lives, however this simply wasn't the case for us. Go for the best ...

We are extremely happy to recommend Fine and Country Norwich. We have used this company twice previously because they are such dedicated professionals who truly understand their market. Richard in the office is extremely helpful and friendly; he visited us at the property once we had signed up so that he had personal insight of our home and could therefore talk with authority to prospective buyers. The photographer (Mike) was also totally professional and took some delightful photos. It is in aftersales that Fine and Country really excel: Philippa is amazingly dedicated and really keeps her finger on the pulse, ensuring all parties are kept informed throughout the process, as well as offering advice and support. Without her hard work, the chain may well have fallen apart because of difficulties that arose along the way. Thank you so much Philippa: I hope Fine and Country know what a treasure they have in you.

Over the last 15 months we have both sold and bought a property through the Norwich office. The support received was professional at all times but also more. There was a genuine interest shown throughout the whole process, resolving any difficulties in good spirits despite the complicated working environment at present. With the remoteness created by Covid and the restrictions of lockdown the chances of any sale falling through must have risen throughout the industry. Dominique was the catalyst for both us as sellers and our buyers. We used fine and country Norwich office. We had used other agents previously with disappointing results and had negative experiences. Fine and country are different. Our first point of contact was Helen. She was very professional, helpful, friendly and an excellent communicator. She arranged and conducted the viewings herself and we got the full asking price for our property within 24 hours of going on the market! Although we had a couple of awkward moments Helen worked through these to enable the sale to go through. She maintained excellent communication throughout and was sensitive to peripheral issues. F&C Diss - 100% recommended, 110% happy!

So...it turns out that buying/selling a house in the middle of a pandemic isn't exactly easy! We found our dream house with F&C at Diss, Norfolk and made arrangements to go and view it. Tanya met us and showed us around, introducing us to some other properties available on the same development to make sure we made an informed choice of which one to buy. Our mortgage was arranged by Chris Beard, their preffered agent, and deposit paid. Subsequent viewing were arranged with Tanya and other staff members, never too much trouble and always happy to help. Then Covid appeared and our sale went wibble...holding everything up. Sue and Chris Scott stayed in touch, were reassuring and patient and made me feel like all wasn't lost. Chris Beard was relentless and made sure that all the financials were solid. They waited patiently for my place to sell and then helped us get prepared to move once everything started up again. Nearly a year after our first viewing, we finally moved into our home at the weekend!! Its everything we hoped it would be and we can't thank the whole team at F&C in Diss enough for sticking by us and giving us a first class service. 100% recommended, 110% happy!

Fine & Country East Yorkshire have recently dealt with the sale of my mother's 250 year old cottage. My mother is in her 90's and Alice and team were brilliant throughout; from the initial advice from Bob, who had researched the history of the property before he attended; they attended all viewings and were supportive of my mother through the whole process. Alice dealt with the negotiations and provided great advice, even checking in during her holiday to check how things were progressing when the final agreement was close. I would recommend their service without hesitation.

A Good Estate Agent makes All the Difference

We have been trying to sell our house for 2 years - Brexit and Covid both made the task more difficult. However after changing Estate Agents for one last go we found that Fine and Country Uckfield went above and beyond the call of duty. Not only were they clear and committed and their viewings professional - when we did get an offer that is where they came into their own. With a difficult chain at times we despaired of ever exchanging but our estate agent was there fighting for us all the way - calling different parties, sorting out issues until we finally, after a fraught day of many phone calls (placed by them) we were able to exchange and now look forward to moving. I can honestly say a good estate agent makes all the difference - not just in getting the best offer on the table but then fighting every step of the way for you until that offer becomes a reality! Cannot recommend them highly enough!

An agency that puts in the effort

While we were a buyer, so not the actual client of Fine and Country (F&C) Norwich, we have to say we found the agency’s approach highly impressive. Manager Helen Plumstead is super dedicated, and runs a tight ship. Big shout out also to Philippa Martinez, F&C’s After Sales Manager: she brings the added value to the agency, supporting both buyers and sellers as they work towards exchange. She keeps the information flow going and chases where and when needed. Philippa responded very quickly to emails, at a time when you need reassurance, particularly during those inevitable ‘what’s happening’ moments.We’d previously sold our house in a part of the UK where F&C don’t have a presence, and used an agency considered ‘top drawer’ for country house properties. Sure, they sold our house, but honestly, we were left wondering what they actually do for their absurdly fat fee, aside from hiring women with posh voices to book viewings that you then have to do yourself!Now we’ve bought our dream home, we’re obviously hoping not to have to speak to an estate agent for a good few years. But if (and when) we have to, Fine and Country will be the first agency we call.

Outstanding Customer Service

We bought a property through Fine and Country, Northampton. Jonathan Lloyd-Ham couldn’t have been more helpful. Jonathan’s customer service was exceptional. Throughout the whole time remaining professional and was always available for advice or just a sympathetic ear when there were frustrating delays. All through the process Jonathan was extremely efficient, he chased all solictors and at some points provided hourly updates.
