If I could give 0 stars I would. We sold our house through Alexander as a house we wanted was for sale with them so felt it was easier. Everything was fine at the beginning but once it was on the market and we had like 3 viewings, there was no interest in selling it. One person viewed ours and wanted it but had to sell their house still but to Alexander that meant 'someone wants it, let's not bother anymore'. During the pandemic, our house sale fell through yet we didn't find out through our own agents who were Alexander. We had a weekly courtesy call from the estate agents we were buying through but not a peep from Alexander, the estate agents we are paying. When we resold, we complained so suddenly they took an interest for about 5 minutes. When we exchanged contracts and were agreeing move dates, I was doing all the leg work and heard absolutely nothing from Alexander. Since talking with others, I have not heard anyone with one good thing to say about this company. I can't believe I had to pay them nearly £4000 yet the other estate agents helped me and kept in contact with me far more. This is only a snippet of the issues we had so you can only imagine how stressful our move was. An embarrassment of a company, please don't ever waste your time or money.

Matt Terrell is charming (in a good way) persuasive and on the ball. From the first point of contact to completion of the sale, I received honest feedback. The process’s Alexander & Co have in place, gives you confidence that they are really working to achieve a sale on your behalf. I received a text to say who was viewing, time & date. Then after the viewing, a call, email or text form Matt, Harriet or Angela, none of the “It’s his day off or someone will get back to you”. Matt took fantastic photos and put together a comprehensive write up of the property, displaying it in a unique way, which would appeal to buyers rather than a copy & paste summary. Agents often have a poor reputation but not Matt Terrell, he is a real asset to Alexander & Co & I would highly recommend them. Jerry Keohane

Our experience with Alexander & Co was genuinely second to none. We’d been house hunting for a few weeks with no success, viewing boring properties, shown around by bored letting agents. Then in our first viewing with Alexander & Co, Lara showed us around a property in Fairfield Leys, and although the property wasn’t quite what we were looking for, Lara was incredibly attentive and took the time to get to know us as renters, establishing our needs, wants, habits, budget and dislikes. Before we had even left the original property she had a better idea of what we were looking for than we did and promptly showed us around another flat. It had everything we needed at a great price, with minimal drawbacks. If you want to look around houses, you can go anywhere, but if you need a bit more help and a genuine personalised service I can not recommend Lara and Alexander & Co highly enough.

When looking for our new home we could not have been any luckier than with Alexander & Co. Lara was our host, and let me tell you, that lady knows exactly what we needed not what we asked for. She was absolutely superb, neatly side-stepping the problem houses, and taking us to absolutely not what we asked for but exactly what we needed. Lara's skills saved us money and found us a wonderful home. I could not recommend her enough. I would never normally leave a review but I am leaving one today due to Lara's impeccable service. This is even without any pressure from Lara or Alexander & Co. Exceptional customer service, if only I could leave six stars!

We were particularly impressed with her helpful and speedy responses to any queries, where the majority was dealt with professionally and efficiently to reduce any concerns we may have, especially considering we had time differences as an obstacle. We have just picked the keys up for our first property. We tried a lot of the agents in Aylesbury and I have to say that from the start that Alexander and co where great. They contacted us very efficiently when a property came on the market, unlike some of the agents we registered with. Within 2 weeks we have secured the property and had the mortgage in place. I would really like to thank Angela in sales progression as she was amazing. She was so happy for us and she progressed things through very quickly. We have just picked up the keys and they included a goody bag with cleaning bits and pieces and a signed card from all the staff in the department. It is such a good service and I would highly recommend...

Matt Wood is an experienced sales manager who's clients are always put first. He works outside the hours needed to help the client and to get contracts exchanged, goes through complex documents and always has a solution. Even though it was a long process he kept professional and communicated clearly within a long chain and kept us communicating together, his management skills were clear and the chain wouldn't have exchanged without him at the top. I have been a landlord and tenant of A&Co as far back as when they were Hartwell estate agents. Over the many years and though many transitions I have found them to very helpful and genuinely caring in all they have done for me. Most recently they have supported me through the purchase of 2 buy to let properties. All members of the Aylesbury team were involved with these efforts with the greatest thanks going to Andy, Karen, Imtiyaz and Lara on the lettings and maintenance side. Plus Matt and Harvey on the sales side. On the financial side Sonya has saved me a vast amount of money obtaining the best BTL mortgage deals, even working up to the midnight deadlines to secure these. I cannot recommend and thank this team more.

We had 3 different local agents come and value our property. Alexander & Co were the 3rd agents and straight away Matt Terrell just seemed to get us. He was professional yet warming and very easy to chat to. There was none of the normal BS that you expect from estate agents (and what we experienced from the other 2 agents). We decided to go on the market with all 3 agents (3rd party decision - we would rather have gone with just A&Co) however A&Co were the most efficient and had multiple viewings booked for us within hours of going live. Matt took great photos and gave a comprehensive write up of our property for rightmove, showcasing our property in a unique way, rather than a boring standard summary. Matt clearly has a way with people as he brought a couple round to our property after showing them round some other places and spending time talking to them to discover their needs. In doing so he sussed out that our property ticked all the boxes. Due to Matt and the teams hard work, we received an offer which we accepted. All within 8 days of going to market. If youre looking for an agent, then you wont go wrong with these guys!

Have been using this Letting Agency since they were Hartwells. I chose them specifically as they had good reviews and a good reputation from all the other Letting Agents in Aylesbury. (Some friends who were landlords warned me that some agents were "All for the tenant" and not helpful to the Landlord at all). I can honestly say, A&Co (and formerly Hartwells) have been very supportive to me as the Landlord since the very beginning. As a first time landlord back in 2015, they were very helpful in explaining everything I needed to have in place, and my first 2 years as a Landlord went like a dream. When my second tenant moved in, it had to be a very quick turnaround and they were very good at getting things done so I didn't lose out on rental income for long. When Hartwells became Alexander & Co, it was a relatively smooth transition. My only gripe soon after was that there were a few communication issues, which so happened to fall when it was the tenancy renewal period. This was partly owing to my account handler suddenly leaving and someone else being on leave. I felt things could have been handled a bit better and was able to have a discussion about this with A&Co. Once my new account manager (Amy C) was established, she has been excellent in resolving issues where they've cropped up and offered advice and support to my endless questions! I do appreciate having A&Co as my Letting Agents as I am not local to my rental property, and we now have a good system going should any issues arise. They have also been very clear when legalities and law changes happen as that side of things overwhelms me in trying to keep up! I would highly recommend them!
