GoogleI purchased a property that was marketed by Reeds Rains Ashton. The service provided was exemplary. The initial viewing was arranged and conducted promptly, they liaised with the seller solicitors effectively when anything needed chasing. With interest rates rising every month at the moment, time is of the essence, and the staff worked hard to ensure completion as soon as possible. A very professional service with staff that are on the ball.

Google2 days ago I've enquired through rightmove about property to buy but they didn't even bother to reply to my email or to call my number.

GoogleBrilliant Estate Agents, dealt with them twice first buying my first home 4 years ago, then recently selling that house and purchasing a new one all of these transactions done through Reeds Rains,knowledgeable about the current market trends and honest rather than building false expectations up. Within 4 days of the house being on the market I had 13 viewings!! The whole team were fantastic despite me bombarding the team with phone calls and updates they were so kind, caring and best of all chasing updates to keep me at ease! For six years, the team at RR let the property on my behalf and were always professional and efficient. I would highly recommend using RR for buying, selling and letting your property. Everyone is on hand to help whenever needed and they often go over and above what is expected.

GoogleAbsolutely disgusted with how we were treated when we moved out. We were going to be charged a ridiculous amount to renew our contract (£90 to change a date!!!), so we decided to move. We were then told that we needed to pay for a reference. They knew that we wouldn’t be able to rent anywhere else without paying for this. They charged us £30 each... in cash. This was just before the silly fees were stopped for tenants. They also charged us for replacing an oven that was in full working order. Absolutely ridiculous. They have also charged us £50 for checking out, saying that because we signed the contract before the deadline for the fees, we still have to pay for it. We have found that for the 2 and a half years that we rented through this company, they have been extremely greedy and charged ridiculous amounts unnecessarily. Thank the lord that the law has changed for tenants fees now, but this company seriously took the mick by charging the earth for everything!!!

GoogleThird time we have spoken to a lady called Amy, very rude and terrible service. Does not let you speak tries to put you off if she doesn't think you can afford it even though she doesnt know the facts. She should be fired.
It is disappointing that you have been dissatisfied with the service you have received from our office. We have all experienced difficult circumstances during the last 12 months which have presented us with many challenges. Not least of which is trying to keep up with Government guidance during the COVID crisis, particularly when organising face to face viewings. They only get one star because it wouldn't let me score them zero. Reeds Rains Ashton are the biggest bunch of crooks . Been a tenant for 4 years, they are always quick to take the rent but never bother to fix anything when you report a problem. Have had faulty electrics (which blew my Son across the room), was left without lights in the kitchen for 12 months due to a flood from the bathroom, my backyard actually collapsed, was left on several occasions with no heating or hot water...I could go on as the list of problem encountered is long. The staff are rude and obnoxious, very intimidating. They also constantly make up charges for various things, £30 to write a reference, £120 to renew tenancy etc. And they also bullied my guarantor into paying 3 months rent upfront by saying I was in rent arrears when I wasn't.Stay well away from this Company, something needs to be done about the way they treat their tenants.

GoogleAvoid this company at all costs nothing but trouble and every time I've had a problem they have been no help we have a two week old baby and tryed for two months to get the problems sorted before she was born but again nothing done only care about money not about helping tenant's this is the Ashton branch of reeds rains others might be different but I would strongly advise to not deal with them!!! (And I will post this review on Facebook and twitter) disgusting how we have been treated!!

GoogleMe and my husband are very happy with the agency Reeds Rains. We have been looking for a house for rent for over 3 months and none of the agencies did all the paperwork within a week, we are very impressed with the agency's way of operation, access to documents and contact between the agency and tenants. Amy Gosling from the Ashton-under-Lyne branch is a lovable and very helpful person. We highly recommend this agency.

YellBad Service And Poor Staff
I have recently left a tenancy held under this branch - and what a relief!! I wish I had done it ages ago.Don't be fooled, they bend over backwards to get you to sign initally. But once you're settled, and find there's a problem or things break down - don't expect anything less than a slow response and them phoning back forgetting the issue. The turnaround time between reporting an issue, them speaking to the landlord, phoning back and not being on the ball on the issue, then Reeds Rains themselves coming to look into the issue, then finally the problem being solved is about 4 weeks!! On top of this, the staff at this branch can be rude and flippant, and are very unfriendly. One man in particular is so obnoxious, I couldn't bare to speak with him. They do not seek to make things seamless and stress-free, which is the whole point of using an agent - you don't have the hassle of having to deal with a landlord. The agent is supposed to hold them up to laws and guidelines. In this branch's case, it seems like they're not very interested in the tenant's experience. Another thing is, which I know some agencies do - but it's still worth a mention because nobody told or warned me (neither did Reeds Rains for that matter) - When your contract is up and it comes to renewing - they charge you £70 for "your share of the administration costs" (I assume the landlord must pay some also). I find this so ridiculous because they are merely printing off a copy of the tenancy they already have on file and amending the dates - oh and the posting cost to your address then to head office then back to yourself. BIG DEAL - surely this doesn't come to to £70+ ????My experience with Reeds Rains Ashton-Under-Lyne has been so poor - that when I come to buy a house, I will never buy from them on the principle that for the whole time I was with them - not a single experience I had with them was simple and stress-free, let alone pleasant.. That would be asking too much.

Other services advertise 'excellent care' but Reeds Rains actually delivered this with regular phone calls, updates, explanations, a calm and listening ear when nerves were frazzled. YellYou will find it difficult to find a better estate agency
Most estate agents leave people wondering what they got for the fees they have paid. Not at all the case with Reeds Rains Ashton. From start to finish they provided a professional, efficient, honest and straight talking service and the staff were empathic through all the highs and the lows of my property sale process. I cannot thank, or rate them highly, enough. If your choose to use them you will definitely be in safe hands.

I have dealt with a number of their staff, all have been professional and a pleasure to do business with. I have no hesitation is recommending them, if your agent is disappointing you, give them a ring, you won’t regret it.
