I’ve viewed a couple of properties with Mark and not only he was always late, but also took my offer and never came back to me, I have called many times and never got a call back. This is proof of how a bad service can ruin the whole reputation of a company, because after this experience, every time I see a property on Right Move published by this company, I feel nervous of having to deal with the same staff.

This was my first time moving out of my family's home and Jolene from Lockwood made it super simple. I was always reluctant to move out because of the stress involved, such as paperwork and background checks. However, Jolene made it so even a simpleton like me can understand it. With a few phone calls and emails, I was out of my family's house and into my very own within a week!!! Jolene has gone above and beyond for us. She was working off the clock to ensure my needs were met and I can not thank her enough!! Dawn has also been super helpful - Big thanks to these two lovely ladies!!

I have had a mixed experience with Lockwood lettings during my two year stay at a property managed by them. There were some issues during the tenancy which didn't get resolved in time. Not sure if it was down to them or the landlord. I would have given 3 maybe 4 stars based on the above however what followed when we were given a notice to leave the property as Landlord wanted to move in was shocking. They tried to deduct most of our deposit for little things which would have cost far less to fix. I was happy to pay reasonable costs for any damages but they were totally unprofessional and unfair about it. In the end I had to take the issue up with DPS and was able to get a big chunk of my deposit back. So just be careful while dealing with them especially when you leave the property and cover yourself by having enough evidence if they try to rob you.NegativeProfessionalism

The Lockwoods team (Ashford) has been managing my rental property for 13+years and have done a great job. Having heard some real horror stories about other agencies i have found Lockwoods to be professional, responsive and on the ball when it comes to managing all aspects of the rental property. I have not had to worry or be involved in unnecessary details but am involved when they need decisions from me. The service from Lockwoods has been great. The lettings team were so helpful and made sure that we were kept up to date with progress during the rental and vetting process, moving in day came quickly and without any issues. Since moving in we have needed to contact the management team a couple of times and have received a response within hours. Call outs have been arranged quickly and always at our convenience and the team follow up to ensure that all issues have been resolved. Lockwoods provide a professional service and we would definitely recommend them to others.

Only professional person that works here is Claire who was always nice and kind throughout the tenancy. Everyone else and the landlord were not. Giving us less than 24 hours before booking in viewing after viewing when we were moving out and half the time no one showed up so we had to do them ourselves whilst my partner WFH. Once a member of their team even came in and openly said to the potential tenants that we had dogs so sorry about any smells. So rude and we kept our house immaculate. No help with maintenance issues, we were told things were going to be fixed etc but never were. They let everything get worse and then took it out of our deposit when we left. Even tried taking money from our deposit for things that were not even theirs in the first place…. Greedy. Probably great letting agency for landlords but not for tenants. We have been renting many years and this is by far our worst experience yet. Tip: if you do use them, make sure you get things fixed as soon as they are flagged, even if they blame you for them, just pay the cost to repair the damage there and then rather than being stuck with a huge bill when it inevitably gets worse due to lack of maintenance from the landlords.

Everything was fine until we check out. They tried to charge us for something we didn't damage we dispute it and they made up something to tried to charge us again. I thought these people are genuinely good but now it felt like betrayal. I learned my lesson. So think twice before you would like to use them.
