Mxed Minds about Dandara.

I am in mixed Minds about Dandara.In Octobre 2021 I signed a purchase agréement (Tunbridge Wells, Kent) and thé sales service from Dandara was excellent. Unfortunately my buyer pulled out and i couldn't exchange on thé agrééd date and as a result i Lost thé house. Although i found another buyer very quickly and wanted to sign for another house on thé estate, thé sale team were extremely poor this Time round and i almost got thé impression that they didn't want me to buy ??!! Thé consultant who had accompagnied me since thé beginning no longer answered my mails and i someone else "took over" yet this consultant didn't know any of thé History or exchanges that i had had with thé first sales consultant. Then thé first consultant would pop UP every now and then but in a very "i am not really involved / i've moved on to something else" manner...it was very incohérent and i felt very "abandonnéd". I don't know if thé team was tired as they were at thé end of a 5 year sales programme or if they just didn't Care however thé service was very poor at thé end. It all Turned out ok and thé purchase went through second Time round as i did alot of pushing and insisting however i was very disappointed particularly with thé sales consultant who disappeared.My biggest "problèm" with Dandara is that their sales team is very pushy to get positive feedback via reviews published. When my first house purchase fell through my sales consultant asked me to put a comment online suggesting that i mention this and that and that i Say good things on her service. My review reflected my expérience until that day however After thé poor sales service for thé second house i felt that thé sales consultant should have waited until thé end of thé sale before asking for a review. This may have motivated her to do a better job second Time round? Today i now have another sales consultant writing /calling every week asking me to fill out a New homebuilders survey even if thé end date is mid August ! And it was even said in his mail " please reply truthfully however if you could put a yes for recommending us it would bé much appréciated and this will help us keep our 5 star rating". Firstly i think it is way too early to Ask for honest feedback from New home owners and thèse suveys should bé done After a year of living in a New home as any issues that may arise will probably NOT bé in thé first 4 months. Just a "yes" at thé end of thé survey allows for a 5 star rating but doesn't take into account other comments. Also i find it a little inappropriate for Dandara sales consultants to Ask customers to give reviews before complétion and thé handing over of keys and suggesting what areas to comment on. Clearly this influences thé reviews in a distorted manner. Anyway my house sale went through, thé house seems generally ok (After 3 months). Thé After sales Customer service really needs to bé improved as i need to chase alot. Some Snagging issues which date back to thé day i moved in have still not been resolved and this is not in alignment with thé Dandara promise...Issues - customer service After purchase/ Dandara promiseSales teams pushing for reviews way too earlyI am however enjoying my house, i love thé neighbourhood and apart from thè minor issues i am in général pleased (moved in 2 months ago).

We want to say how delighted we are with the help and support we have received from Joe and Andrew at the Nightingale Place , Battle marketing suite. They have been so good at answering our many questions, have been patient and the level of their grasp of the Technical information has been great. My husband is a Building Engineer so we are familiar with plans. The attention to detail by the Dandara Team is wonderful and the whole site is carefully set out and enviromentally sympathetic. PEARMAIN DEVELOPMENT-CROWBOROUGHAVOID LIKE THE PLAGUESo with regards to first review re mould (there are other issues too) Complained about this to site manager shortly after moving in on June 4th. Told it has been raining a lot. Cleaned mould and then it reappeared. Early August contacted site manager, Lewis, he said everything needed to go via Customer Services so it could be logged. Duly contacted CS- no one available until 12th September- waited over a month for this appointment. It was cancelled at 9am on 12th September I.E. THE SAME DAY as he was 'poorly' but they would rearrange as soon as possible. Not even a courtesy email from them since.BE WARNED- THEY CAN HAVE 2/3 SALES PEOPLE IN THEIR OFFICES ON COMMISSION, BUT WHEN IT COMES TO AFTER-SALES SUPPORT THEY EMPLOY ONE PERSON TO VISIT PROPERTIES. SAYS ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW- DO YOURSELVES A FAVOUR AND DO NOT BUY FROM THESE CHARLATANS. PS Despite being assured that mould would not affect my furniture or belongings- when I cleaned the black mould off this morning- the back of my tv unit had green mould on it. Dandara- save yourselves the inane reply about your people will be looking into this- it really means diddly squat and shows you up for the LIARS and CROOKS that you are. You should all hang your heads in shame. BTW- how much commission did the dolt who conned me into this hellhole make? Was he the same fool. Tommy, who threatened to call the police if I didn't leave the sales office. First time in my nearly 60 years as a professional person, that I have ever been spoken to by such an uneducated oaf like that. I told him he was very welcome to waste police time and to call the police and I would explain the situation to them myself - FUNNY THAT HE DEMURRED. CLOWN.EVERYONE ELSE- BE WARNED. DO NOT LISTEN TO THEIR SALES PEOPLE. AVOID BOTH OF THEIR CROWBOROUGH DEVELOPMENTS (PEARMAIN and BRAEBURN) THEY ARE BOTH MOULD-RIDDEN HELL-HOLES. Shame I can't attach photos- wonder why?

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANYDandara were dodgy from the start. They are a soulless company that just wants to maximise profit no matter the cost to buyers.Within a month of completing they pulled out, having wasted almost 3 months of everyone's time as well as potential costs. They notified us out of the blue that we had one week to exchange contracts?! Causing stress for everyone and didn't extend it.However, we were relieved in the end. We were persuaded by show room and were told that our property would be similar which it wasn't. We soon realised it was built on a flood plain and the room sizes for the price were very poor, in fact the whole house is too small and not worth the sales price. They even put it up by 10K after they pulled out. Their properties are by the numbers, maximise profit and we were worried about the quality with the attitude they had. Be cautious with them and check everything. Their sales people would say one thing and then a week later it would turn out to be not be true. For example, they advised we go with "their" solicitors as it would stop Dandara pulling out. Their solicitors (PLS) were worse than them!! Again another by the numbers, soulless company, that gave us the worst experience with a solicitors ever! Rude and unhelpful, they just forwarded emails from the parties involved. In the week where we had to exchange contracts, I told PLS that we only went with them as the sales person had said it would take away the risk of this exact situation and they said that Dandara should never had said that and it wasn't true!Would not recommend.

Rude sales agent

I visited the dandara show home at shawfair, midlothian today. The sales advisor could not have been more rude. She cut me off with a snippy answer every time i asked a question. I had visited straight from work so wasn't in my best clothes but my money is as good as anybody else's. My daughter already bought a house in the same development from the previous agent (leigh) and gave 5 stars as she was so lovely and helpful. Pity she wasn't still on that site.

Lovely visit!

Lovely visit!I visited St Michaels Park over the weekend and well, it is stunning. What a great sales team you have over there, very informative and welcoming. Me and my partner were first interested in the Upnor house type but have unfortunately missed out as they are all reserved, and I'm not surprised! Lovely layout on a beautiful site, but I was just too late. Wish the team all the best and everyone who purchases on the site as it just looks wonderful. I will definitely keep my eye out for more dandara developments in the area!

From the first correspondence with the sales team they have been extremely helpful and informative. We initially showed some interest in the Saxon park site where we spoke with Rebecca and Jade. They were very informative and happy for us to look around another site they were currently developing. We showed some interest in a few properties and as soon as they were released we were contacted as promised, this allowed us to reserve the plot we really wanted. Once we reserved our property we have received regular communication with updates on the progress of the build. We have been really happy with the service so far and would highly recommend them as a developer.

Today I received my washer in my new Dandara Ashgrove home in Loanhead. Dandara assistant site manager Aaron and his colleague Michal helped install my washer. They are very professional and kind. Aaron also called his colleague Craig to check my heater etc. I couldn't find a way to thank them as they didn't even accept a house drink. So I am writing this review to appreciate their help and thank these wonderful Dandara staff!
