GoogleWe were extremely impressed by the expertise and determination of Jodie. She responded immediately, was on top of everything and worked very efficient. This is how I like my agent to work. Very personal, straight to the point and because of her we've got an amazing house secured. So we can't think her enough.
Would recommend this agency and Jodie anytime.PositiveResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value

Trustpilotshocking service, do not even think of using their broker service
shocking service. DO NOT USE THEIR MORTGAGE SERVICE. We were first time buyers and used their service at eastbourne, after the first appointment when they found a provider we had to literly send all documents and do all the work for them with the mortgage company although they were meant to be doing this as we paid Β£690! This was because we had the mortgage company contacting us asking why the broker has not been sending the required documents to them even though we had sent them to him. We managed to get back Β£300 but if i knew how bad the service was we would of just burnt the money. This has put us from even using their buying service, which they didnt even turn up to a viewing we booked once!

TrustpilotShysters.
Shysters.I put my property on with them as they offerred a good deal so I thought. I now realise they overvalued the property with lots of promises to get me hooked.I even paid a additional cash lump sum up front for enhanced marketing, but my iphone pictures were better than theirs! So we ran for the full 4 months of the contract and they got 4 viewings, so I told them I was going to go elsewhere. this dragged on for a bit and then I confirmed it to them and went to another agent who sold the place in about 4 weeks! So what the hell were Fox and Sons doing all that time! Now however, Foxy want to claim a 1% plus VAT fee from me for their time as they say there were two agents involved! I think Ill let this one go to court to see what a judge thinks as they did NOT achieve this sale and had plenty of opportunity to do so.Only use these guys if there is no one else and spray painting 'FOR SALE' on your fence is not an option!

TrustpilotNightmare !
This company and their Group, Connells, are stuck in the past - where monthly Sales Figures are the one and only aim, with customers coming a long way down the list of their priorities.Do not touch with a bargepole.!We had cause to formally complain twice during the process of Fox & Sons selling our Mother's house. Since we lived 100 miles away we were totally reliant on their reliability and honesty, both of which turned out to be non-existent.They sound plausible, cheerful and eager to please but behind the facade is poor communication and greed. They will say one thing but the contract you sign is what they will take you to Court for if you don't agree with their performance and fees. These are the threats we got following our genuine complaint. We made the mistake of believing they were acting in our best interests but later discovered they were really acting for the Buyer rather than us, the Seller - and we were paying the Fees , not the Buyer !It's too painful to go through the detail of our saga, just don't hire them. Also be careful you don't hire any other Agent in the Sequence or Connells Group because they are all run from Dunstable with seemingly the same business philosophy - they are obviously out to make money and don't care much about how they get it.Top Tip: If you live in or near the property you are selling don't bother with a high street Agent - you can do it yourself using an online Agent. That way you can make your own decisions about the credibility of the Buyer. Plus avoid high Agents fees. Do your own viewings, plus make sure you ask for everything to be in writing to your Solicitor once you find a Buyer. There may be good Agents out there but other than viewings I can't see that they offer anything else that you can't do yourself.

TrustpilotI Would Not Recommend this Company
Basic initial sale services were fine but after an offer was accepted contact deteriorated significantly to the point where I had to constantly chase the office for any updates and push them to obtain information from further down the chain, where there was an issue that needed resolving.I would call the office and ask for an update, I would be promised a call back later that day but wouldn't receive one. This happened several times. In the early stages I also sent a number of emails but not one was even acknowledged let alone answered. I also raised some questions during the course of this process and now post completion there are still some that have not been answered.Where most houses are sold via various internet sites it is the post offer acceptance service that is important. You rely on your estate agent to gather information, answer queries and push the sale through, after all you are normally paying a significant sum for this service and the problem solving skills of the staff involved. Unfortunately this service was missing completely. Ironically I actually received a better service from the estate agent that sold us our new property, a company that I didn't have to pay anything to!

TrustpilotKemp Town Branch mis-sold their legal services and I lost Β£1100. NO HONOUR, NO INTEGRITY in this company
I was mis-sold their Sequence legal services & lost Β£1100 when they failed to honour their guarantee. Ed Middle, a Branch Director, emailed a "no quibble money back guarantee" & then failed to honour it - the lack of honour & integrity goes right to the top. After wasting 2 months making a complaint to their compliance, they fobbed me off telling me to take my complaint to the Ombudsman - I assume they're hoping I just go away.

TrustpilotFox & Sons Hastings- Disgracefulβ¦
Fox & Sons Hastings- Disgraceful service, my tenancy ended in Feb 2015, heard nothing from them untill July 2016 when they took me to court for unpaid rent from Feb 2015 till December 2015 even though I wasn't living at the property. The case went to court early 2016 & it got dismissed as I proved I vacated the property. September 2016 they took me back to court for the same reasons & once again the case got dismissed,I've been chasing them for a copy of my file that they have during my tenancy since July 2016 & still nothing from them, they don't even bother to call or email me back & they just palm me off with excuses everytime I go into the branch. Once again I received a email from my solicitor stating they are taking me back to court next month for the same reasons as the last 2 times! I have proved twice now that I left the property & this is seriously beyond a joke!

TrustpilotVery disappointed in service!
Very bad experience trying to sell our flat.Inexperienced young agents with little knowledge of the property holding viewings. Not turning up on occasions. Bad liason with potential buyer, took more than 6 months only for buyer to pull out! Not promoting the property, said they had London investors, so had wider coverage than local agents, another failure. Will not use them again!

TrustpilotAlways in touch and persistent
Always in touch and persistentI didn't end up buying with Fox & Sons but they were one of the only agencies out of the several I was in touch who constantly followed up and kept trying, even when I kept saying no to places I visited. Sometimes the properties they suggested really did not match my criteria, but this was better than other agencies who would show you one property then disappear if you didn't like it.

GoogleFrom the start Fox and Sons Lettings Bognor treat you like you are their most important customer until they get any money out of your account. Once this happens they never give you any feedback or return your calls or emails.
Both my partner and I viewed a property at the beginning of May which we really liked and were told that we could move into the property at the end of that month. Therefore as this was the perfect situation for us both, as a result paid a fee of Β£285.00 each as a holding amount whilst we are referenced.
This is when the nature of our experience with Fox and Sons turned extremely sour. It reached the last week of May and we still had not received our move in date! We then called the office approximately 4 times before we had any response, which was when we were told that the property was on the market whilst still in the process of a selling exchange!
This was extremely infuriating as it took us excessive amounts of chasing for our move in date to find out the property was put on the market without it being ready for any prospective tenant to move in. We had therefore paid in excess of Β£570.00 for a property that we could not even move into!
When speaking with the lettings "manager" he kept trying to fob us off with excuses telling us that it would now be the 3rd week of June that we could move in. When I then called the office to confirm what date within the 3rd week of June, we were told that "we were being optimistic thinking that".
In the end I had to raise a formal complaint to the head office and request all of the money we paid to be returned to us ASAP. Only then when I had done this, was when I received an apology from a member of the lettings team.
It is a shame that this has happened. However for all the trouble and stress we had endured due to Fox and Sons lack of communication and honesty, I feel that it is necessary to warn people to steer clear from Fox and Sons until this office learns not to swindle people out of their money.

TrustpilotI would recommend that you avoid:
I would recommend that you avoid:Brighton Office valued my property far higher than any other agent. When challenged, they said they could find a buyer and give them a chance, just for 1 month. We verbally agreed that at the end of the month there would be no notice period. They now threaten me with their 'small print' and demand a notice period. Pretty stupid really, as there is no way I would accept any offer made through them even if I agreed to the false notice period. Maybe I should just let them waste their time. Let's assume this to be their flawed memory rather than flawed honesty.

Completely incompetent from start to finish at Hastings branch. Nothing was ever the estate agentβs responsibility. We ended up wasting weeks on a purchase being told that documents and safety certificates etc were βimminentβ. Nothing ever transpired so we eventually had to pull out having lost Β£1k on solicitors fees and surveys. I asked for a formal way to make a complaint, but my email was simply ignored, hence this review.

TrustpilotFox & Sons Crawley - Horrendous
What can I say about this Estate Agent, nothing complimentary that's for sure. We received no feedback from them after viewings what so ever, I had to constantly call them. They arranged an open day for our house so we went out for the day, they failed to lock my back door. Shoddy! After the open day, still no feedback until I waited a few days and called them. The only other viewings arranged by them did not even fit in with the times I had advised would be convenient, so it meant I had to change arrangements with my dog walker at short notice. On one occasion they called to confirm a viewing that I knew nothing about! We then saw a property we wanted to view in Bexhill, even though we had been told Fox and Sons had this vast network of agents throughout the UK we could not be found on their data base, even though we were registered with their Crawley branch. After viewing this property we made a full asking price offer. I left a message on Fox & Sons Crawley answerphone to let them know we had made an offer, which had been accepted in principle and asked if someone could call me on the MondaY. No-one called, I had to call them yet again. I took this opportunity to ask the manager why we were not on the Bexhill database, only to be told, "it was probably someone who didn't know how to use the system" I also asked what they could do to get some viewings or if there was any marketing activity they could do to help get things moving, bearing in mind we really wanted the property in Bexhill, the response was "it's all about the price and that a reduction would need to be substantial" Having since had several other estate agents to give us a market appraisal, they have all valued our property at Β£10,000 less than Fox & Sons did. it would seem to me they tell you the house is worth more to get your business, then when nothing happens they make you reduce the price. Trying to move home is stressful enough without having to deal with people who quite clearly are not fit for purpose! I would never use this agent again, even to the point where I am looking to buy a property I won't even consider it if it is up for sale with Fox and Sons, the house we had liked so much in Bexhill and had our offer agreed in principle, then appeared on Rightmove a few days later with Sold STC across the advert. No-one even had the courtesy to call me or send me an email to let me know. Poor service seems endemic in this company.

GoogleWorking with Massimo who sorted out the Mortgage for me was great. He always kept me updated on things, explained everything very well and was professional throughout the process of buying my home. I originally found Massimo through Fox & Sons Estate Agents and although they were unable to sell my previous property, I stuck with Massimo after I moved to another Estate Agent, because of his professionalism.PositiveProfessionalism
