Very happy in the end with Holden and Copley. Although it got off to a slow and frustrating start, it soon started to move forward. Always someone at the end of the phone and always happy to help when you go into the office. Made it as quick and easy as they could and it’s much appreciated. The only negative I think would help is more contact with us, to save us guessing and having to chase things up all the time. Overall a success

Holden Copley have been an absolute delight to work with. From the moment I enquired about putting my house on the market with them they couldn’t have been more attentive. From marketing and selling my property, to finding me my dream home, they couldn’t have done better. Throughout the process I dealt with a number of other estate agents and none came close to what I received from them. I dealt with a number of people at HC, a few key people along the way, all who were so friendly and attentive who had my info at hand in an instant, none of this ‘I’ll get your file and look into it’ Excellent service from start to finish, I’ve already recommended their services to friends of mine who are already using them, along with others who are contemplating a move. Without hesitation I would use them again (although I don’t want to move again anytime soon!) absolutely brilliant and well worth the fee. Service is second to none. We are in the very final stages of buying our first house through Holden Copley. Throughout the process we have been impressed by their levels of service and professionalism. With searching for properties they were one of the few agents in Nottingham who listened to our criteria, and actively marketed houses to us. The staff on viewings were knowledgeable and helpful. This was a welcome contrast to so many other agencies, who often seemed disinterested in actually selling the houses they were marketing. The sale process hasn't been the quickest in the world (nothing to do with Holden Copley), but they have been absolutely brilliant at keeping in contact with all parties and helping ensure the process kept on moving and didn't fall through. Unlike some other agencies there wasn't a hard sell to use other products (i.e. broker, solicitor) from them or partners (other agencies seemed more interested in selling ancillary services rather than houses). After this experience, when it comes to selling (which I hope isn't for a long time!), they will be our first port of call.

Took advantage of us. we are new to renting. we pay £575 for £350 a month home because we didn't really know. once we looked into it we was very upset. mostly because they have moved us into a dying home. they did not even try to dress it up as they said they would. we were promised a brand new paint job. looks as though they didnt have masking tape... or covers to cover the bare wires hanging from the ceiling light fittings!! 30 minutes before we were due to collect the keys we got a call saying that they did not have a key to give us. because the gas engineer had it. (they should have more than 1 set!!!) when we asked my the engineer had the keys they said because the boiler is broken. it is not like we moved straight in there was a good month they had to sort the issues. we couldn't move in for a couple of days because of these issues. and the boiler still does not work properly. throughout January me and my family were huddled in -2 degrees C temperatures through the night. the agency couldn't care less. barely anything was ever done. random earthing cable which is a trip hazard is just handing around our toilet. this is obviously good with have a 3 year old trying to learn to use it. the ceiling in the 3rd bed room was falling down. in the house report it said " corner of wall paper hanging down" what they meant was "ceiling could fall at any moment Beware" .. it must be agency lingo. the taps in our bathroom are fed the wrong way round. their answer to this was to just switch the hot cold indicators around in the bath room. (absolutely to British standard... its a good job no-one in my family is blind. although my daughter has burnt herself with it and it will be delt with properly) the trade mens rubbish is all over our back garden. as well as the bins so full from trademens carpet Etc that they were split. Holden and Copley took there time getting us some new bins so a mountain of rubbish has appeared. when i finally told them to collect it after being fobbed off for a month or so they told me to bag it up for them!! 2 months later, nothing has been collected and the animals have gotten to the rubbish. (if they think i'm bagging it all again for them they have another thing coming... a law suit) 5 months into the tenancy the only thing that has been done is we have new bins and the ceiling has been replaced . as it was a child bedroom and they have only just painted it last week. (5 months later) i have been into the loft for evidence and unfortunate found the reminiscence of a cannabis grow house. (huge ducting coming out of the 3rd bedroom ceiling into the loft.) i cant believe even this has not been sorted out as well as other holes in the ceiling that become obvious as go up into the loft. no wonder the house holds no heat. rubbish is everywhere outside still, there is a MASSIVE hole covered by cabinets in the kitchen wall though to the landing (downstairs) and our kitchen is all single glazed. so it saps the heat from our house.
