FacebookI recently tried to purchase a flat through First Step. The agent was in frequent contact to push the progress of the sale through as quickly as possible, which I did my best to support. Two weeks into the sale of this flat, I was informed by my agent Sandie that the property was no longer on the market, and had actually been taken off 11 days prior. I had incurred £650 of costs by this time. Therefore the entire period that I was being pushed to progress the sale, the flat in question was actually no longer for sale. It is completely ridiculous, and I have been left with the financial consequences. I complained to First Step via telephone, who told me I had misunderstood the proceedings, and two weeks ago I complained via email to which I have received no reply. I will be taking further action to formally complain in the near future as I am so unimpressed with the customer service and treatment I have received.

GoogleI have worked with First Step for nearly 6 years when I relocated and wanted to rent out my house. They made the signing up process as smooth as possible and they found suitable tenants quickly.
I have had troubles with some of my tenants over the years and First Step have shared the burden of this with me. They have done what they could to help resolve situations and kept me up to date.
If I have had any issues with their management of my house they have responded quickly and Jules has always reassured me that they have my best intentions at the forefront of what they do.
Special mention goes to Jo who has been tremendously tenacious with EON who we have had problems with since the most recent tenants left. Jo has gone above and beyond to do what she could to resolve a very difficult situation, and has spent many a stressful hour on the phone to EON. I love two hours away so it was lovely to have Jo on hand to check things at short notice.
I then sold my house with First Step. The process was smooth and Jane did a great job of chasing the conveyancers and keeping me informed.

GoogleFirst Step have always been very responsive, sensitive and supportive of my parents since they moved into their home over 5 years ago. Each member of staff that we communicated with has been professional, polite and helpful. We particularly found the staff sympathetic to my mothers needs when she became a widow and especially during lockdown when they took the time to call on her to see if she needed anything.
After being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s last year, and needing to relocate into a retirement home to be closer to family, First Step really did everything they could to ensure that her property was marketed and sold. All members of staff were easy to speak to and dealt with any of our enquiries promptly and with care.
