GoogleMy husband and I used Hadlands as letting agents for two proprettes over a number of years. We always found them helpful and efficient. Recently I have sold a property through Hadlands. It was a long and quite difficult sale but, throughout, Simon and George were very supportive and professional. I can recommend Hadlands for letting and selling proprettes.PositiveProfessionalism

They have a great depth of knowledge both on the local market conditions and the legislation (present and upcoming) that really helped us to make the best decisions on how to navigate the process. They are also very friendly, proactive and communicative during the process, so we were kept informed, which really helped lessen the stress.

GoogleI was treated very badly by this company. Keith who spoke to me was very full on when I called. Telling me the property I was interested in would be gone if I waited a few days to view it. Then after quoting me a weeks deposit just to get a credit check that I would lose if my credit was bad ( who’s isn’t these days !! I offered to pay a years rent up front and his response was so negative and I quote ‘things are stacked against you” he then asked if my husband could pay !! I have no husband which he didn’t even bother to find out. How intrusive and unprofessional. He is the type of person who gives estate agents the bad reputation of being rude and pushy. He called me to follow up as I missed going to the appointment. I was told I didn’t sell myself very well ?? Re bad credit . I was then told “it wasn’t meant to be “ Bad taste left in my mouth with this company !NegativeProfessionalism
Dear Annie, I am sorry that you feel you have been badly treated by my company. Keith is 'full on' as he is working flat out in this exceptionally quick rental market amid the difficult conditions that Covid throws at us. There is so much demand for rental property that we are fortunate enough to have a choice of very keen tenants. You stated 'Then after quoting me a weeks deposit just to get a credit check that I would lose if my credit was bad ( who’s isn’t these days !!) Keith's comment was actually stated to protect you. If you fail the credit check, and you admitted bad credit history, you would lose your weeks rent holding fee. It is not uncommon for us to help tenants like yourself with bad credit history and ask if you have alternative means to help pay. Asking if your partner or husband can assist is again, a helpful suggestion to assist with passing referencing. Keith's direct honesty, in my opinion, is something that our industry needs. Sometimes it is difficult to deliver. Keith's work for my company is exceptional and this is the only 'complaint' I have had to deal with for him. Working in these hard times where Covid rules create a difficult playing field for our industry to work within, missing your appointment, if I'm honest, also didn't help with your interest, along with bad credit history. I would be happy to discuss with you on the phone any further concerns you may have. After 26 years from starting Hadlands to where we are today, having won the British Property awards for lettings for the second time, it is certainly not in my interest to have potential tenants unhappy with the service we provide. GoogleHadlands have been excellent regarding the sale of my flat. A special mention has to go to Jo Burgess and Simon Hadland, without there help over the weeks, we would not have sorted out many legal problems so quickly. Jo was in regular contact with the solicitors and kept me informed of the ongoing situation on a weekly or daily basis. Thanks again!

Mark Hough the property manager sorted it out really quickly and within 24 hours I didn't just have it fixed, but had a totally brand new boiler installed, was very pleasantly surprised. GoogleStay away!!! This lot will simply rob you. They tried to charge me £1971 out of my £2188 deposit at the end of my tenancy. I went though the DPS (Dispute) process and won my case. Luckly I didn't have to pay a their claim at end, but can you imagine the hassel we went though. I honesly telling you, please, please, please avoid this lot. They are the most dishonest and crural people I ever deal in my life. If you still have to deal with them, take lot of pictures, make sure you collect enough evidance to defend yourself. And be prepaire for DPS process. I would give ZERO stars if I could.
Dear Nishendra, The arbitration process is there to sort out disputes between Landlords/Lettings agents and tenants at the end of the tenancy. When you moved into the property the carpets were new, and unfortunately after an 18 month tenancy they needed to be replaced due to stains and damage. This cost the landlord over a month's rent to fix. For this particular Landlord, the unexpected and unnecessary cost caused significant financial distress. We stand by our decision that was made in March 2018, however you are correct, the DPS came down on your side. The DPS is a government backed scheme which has plenty of information online and all agents use the same or a similar service. We do have pictures to prove the damage, but you are well aware of what took place. We wish you all the best. Kind regards, Benjamin

A particular thank you has to go to Andrea who has been doing everything to make the logistics of moving as easy as possible for us. I found some issues on arrival and Mark sent a lovely handiman (Martin) who was friendly and fixed the issues I had.
