RMS have been fantastic throughout the process of buying my current house. RMS helped me significantly during the initial negotiations to help me secure the property and also acting as a reliable intermediary between both mine and the sellers solicitors. I had a great amount of trust and confidence with RMS throughout the entire process - they often offered support with communication to help speed up the buying the process and ensure the transaction went as smoothly as possible. Additionally, since moving into the property RMS have offered expert advice on how to increase the market value of the property.5* all around

Not a good experience at all with gosforth branch. Viewed a house and after our offer got accepted we found out from our surveyor that the house was a leasehold (advertised as freehold online) when we enquired with staff at the branch they said it was 100% freehold property. After making more enquiries we found out that the house was a leasehold and we backed out even though the agents were saying it was a freehold. After we backed out the advert went up again for the house - only this time advertised as leasehold! We only went forward with this property as it was claimed to be freehold but the experience from the beginning was awful. For a first time buyer would not recommend. We spent a lot of money on the survey report and only to found out it’s a leasehold property. If RSA did their own proper work we wouldn’t have to lose out on that money and wouldn’t have gone ahead with the property either. Not the type of agents you want to purchase a house with.
We’re very disappointed to receive this review as after discussing this with our Gosforth branch we felt we should provide the details of what occurred during this process.We’d like to outline that the property was advertised and sold as a freehold property, meaning whoever purchases the property, purchases it as a freehold property (reverted as any existing lease-related charges are settled during the sale process). When the transaction completes, the buyer will own a ‘Freehold’ property. We’re sorry that you missed out on this property and please understand that we do take your comments on board and we note the points you have presented but on this occasion you did not believe the information that the Gosforth branch provided you, which caused you to research matters further and decrease your offer. This ultimately unnerved the vendor and in turn made them withdraw from your proposed sale and go ahead with a different buyer who they thought would proceed more quickly. That decision ultimately lies with the vendor of the property and not ourselves.We would like to wish you luck in your house hunt and hope you find a suitable property.

I used RMS Amble branch to sell my Mothers house. Theservice I received from all the staff was first class. Ifelt that they cared about their job. They were very efficient in the selling process and it took less than a week to get a buyer.They continued to be proactiveright through the selling process and kept me fullyinformed on its progress. Their fee was fair for the service they provided. It was a pleasure to deal with all their staff.I fully recommend them.

I have used Rooks Matthews Sayer for 5 property sales over the last 2 years and the service has been outstanding from beginning to end, despite challenges thrown at us through covid!
