Lessons needed in customer service at Sale branch

Earlier this week, I called up to enquire about properties on Rightmove with the Sale branch. I was told that they were not available which was fine but I was spoken to in an appalling manner when I asked if they could help me with my rental property search. I was told that they were too busy and to call back another time. When asked why they couldn’t help me, a lady on the phone was extremely rude to me.

Sadly, Wouldn’t recommend

Hello,I can see some positive reviews here but sorry to say we don’t feel the same.We’ve been letting out a property for 14 years now and since Thornley Groves have taken over, we’ve had nothing but issues.Poor communication, poor service, lack of ownership. Since they took over the previous agent in July 2021, we’ve dealt with 7/8 different team members. I think we’ve had 5 property managers since who have left.We have poor communication about payments from our tenant. We have to chase / remind the agent about property inspections. It’s a chore.We’ve informed senior / managers around 6 months ago and whilst they sorted out whatever issue it was at the time, it’s gone back to poor service. We had a period of around 4 months where a property manager did take ownership, handled things fairly well but I believe he’s moved to a different country, which is a shame.Poor communication, high turnover of property managers is our biggest issue.Wouldn’t recommend - too much drama and we will look to dis-instruct when we can.

Excellent staff, inflexible systems.

The employees of this company dealing with customers are excellent. Umar Rulal, who managed my property, was outstanding and went above and beyond to sort things for me. He was always extremely polite, professional and efficient.I think, however, the company is geared more to big landlords and I found the systems used to be a little flexible and impersonal e.g the reporting system and no-reply emails.This will suit some, but was not ideal for me.

Landlords - avoid at all costs!!

As landlord who ended up with Thornley Groves through probate, this management company is an absolute disgrace. Avoid at all costs. Failed to conduct a check out report correctly resulting In us incurring additional costs. The cleaning is an absolute scam, check company house and make your own mind up on the links between ‘Cloud Cleaners’ (Company number 09703374) and ‘Thornley Grove’ (Company number 02674298). Charged £350 for a deep clean which was never completed, when photo evidence was provided we were lied to on numerous occasions by the property management team stating that the property had been recleaned. Cleaning charge included £80 for changing a lightbulb which wasn’t requested. Terrible experience, sales team is no better. Continually having to chase feedback from viewings. We will be selecting a new agent in coming days.

Renovations and Lettings.

I've used Thornley Groves as a lettings agent for a long time. Recently with Imogen Windsor engaged in a substantial refurbishment with a new kitchen, carpets, structural improvements and hunting a longstanding problem. Its not quite complete yet but it's looking good and the experience has been very positive. Great communication, responsive to issues as they came up, and achieved a good price for the scale of the work.

Do they even exist?

As a potential tenant looking for properties to rent I can’t say i am impressed with this estate agent.After two weeks of emails to book viewings which are not available, countless phone calls to the new tenant and existing tenant numbers and emails to the estate agents themselves I have still not managed to view any of the countless properties they email about or speak to someone in branch.It appears that they do not care about their existing tenants, let alone new tenants, as their existing tenants phone number just rings with no answer either.Unfortunately there is nothing the estate agents can do to restore my opinion of them - they are absent and ignorant.I hope that they sort their act out and actually return the contact of future tenants.

Absolutely the worst estate agents…

Absolutely the worst estate agents I have ever experienced. After multiple issues with these people I am at my wits end of what to do. Our property manager, Daniel Webster, never answers the phone, doesnt respond to emails. There are some lovely staff that have been helpful ie, Eve. But the service we receive from Daniel and even the complaints team has been atrocious. If I had known this going in I wouldnt have proceeded, which is a shame because the flat is lovely but not worth the hassle.

The worst agency that I have encounter

The worst agency that I have encounter, abusive emails, from different people , you explain and exchange emails with one just to find your self in the same situation once more (explaining and exchanging emails) with a mother person on the same matter that you thought you already clarified with first troglodyte .Apart from abusive and menacing emails they do not o anything else . No support for any matter . You are on your own and they are only to abuse you.
