We have been renting through Thornley Groves for nearly 1 years. Recently our tenancy was taken over by Lucy Clegg. She has been an absolute star. She has gone above and beyond to help us arrange repairs at the property which were unattended for quite a while. She even helped us renew our tenancy agreement. Whenever we asked her for anything, we get a response the same day. She was friendly, professional and the most diligent property manager we have ever dealt with.

I strongly discourage anyone from considering Thornley Groves for rental services. Having been a tenant for over five years, I've never encountered a more inept and untrustworthy company. My experience with them during my tenancy, which commenced in August 2022, was nothing short of frustrating. My contract explicitly stipulated that the landlord was responsible for setting up a utility change. However, despite sending a barrage of emails to my property manager between August and December, they only took action when I received a distressing call about my impending electricity disconnection. The issue only found resolution after I physically visited their branch to escalate the matter.Another grievance pertains to my deposit. Thornley Groves attempted to claim £415 for cleaning and removal charges, unjustly accusing me of leaving behind items that were not mine. In response, I had to involve a property adjudicator who rightly ruled against their non-itemized expense claim and made it more reasonable. Astonishingly, they were seeking compensation for damages that were clearly documented in their own check-in report. I would only recommend Thornley Groves if you're seeking to be overcharged and endure subpar service.Update : Their reply claims they follow scheme regulations. But they lost the case against me when it went to the independent adjudicator so therefore another lie of them supposedly following the scheme regulations.

I rented with them for 1 year. they are incredibly hard to get hold of and never answers the phone. I have been waiting to hear about my deposit now since moving out over 2 months ago and am still yet to receive and update on my deposit even after emailing and calling several times. Over my time living in a Thornley Grove property the customer services was shocking it is obvious they only care for your money and nothing else.

Horrible experience with this estate agents. I have been dealing with multiple property managers since renting with Thornley Groves who all don’t seem to have been trained in basic skill sets such as time management and customer service. When I have rescheduled an appointment over a week in advanced, I receive an email the day before the appointment very passive aggressive with a threat of a charge for cancellation 24 hours before from Katie Garner. Completely unprofessional and no time management.

If I could give less than 1 star I would. Never ever RENT with this agency. My boyfriend and I were renting a flat during 2 years, and this year (2023) they increased our rent to 50%, more £500 per month. We tried negotiate and they didn't care. Plus, we even tried to finish our contract a month year and offer someone that could start a new contract with them and they refuse. Making us pay one month of rent without being in the property. Honestly, they only care about business. The price range of the flats where we were living was around £1200-£1400, and they were asking £1500. We felt terrible and they didn't care about any of our situation. NEVER RENT WITH THEM!!!! If they want to get rid of you, they will.
