Exceptional Service

I want to thank all the guys at McKenzie Smith for the great work they have done, on my behalf. In particular Steve Panther. Steve is an exceptional agent, and I can not praise or thank him enough. My sale / purchase was fraught with hurdles from the start and it was Steve who helped identify / iron out any issues that arose. His approach is second to none; a perfect blend of understated competence, sincere interest in the good of the outcome, knows the market inside out and has a brilliant sense of humour - which is vital, I think.One aspect that made a huge difference for me is that I could trust Steve. Trust his intentions as well as his guidance... he never needed to be chased up and was always one step ahead, even of the solicitors. I liked that I didn't have to learn about the property market, that I could rely on Steve's knowledge and experience and that if he made a suggestion, to just go with it. Because he knows his stuff.When Steve was furloughed, Gavin took over and, although Steve had put in the graft, Gavin did a fantastic job of seeing me over the finishing line, to completion. Each went above and beyond for me, and I owe a debt of heartfelt thanks and love to both. McKenzie Smith are fortunate to have them, and both deserve a bonus.

I couldn't recommend the team at Mackenzie Smith enough. Particularly Stephen Down who guided me through every stage a first-time buyer needs to be aware of and going above and beyond when I experienced what appeared to be countless hurdles presented by various third parties. We could not recommend Katherine Gray at Mackenzie Smith more highly. She was knowledgeable, supportive and professional from the start to the finish of our land sale process.The process was clearly explained to us at the beginning and the different options we had to market the land which gave us the confidence to proceed. Once we had given the go ahead Mackenzie Smith contacted an appropriate number of credible potential buyers, efficiently managing the whole process including all of the site visits, and as a consequence we received several different offers. Katherine’s experience helped us assess each offer with a detailed spreadsheet so that we could make an informed decision given the different proposals on offer and introduced us to the potential buyers.Once we had agreed to proceed Katherine with her legal background swiftly drafted the Heads of Terms containing all of the key negotiating points. Throughout the process from then onwards Katherine was excellent at managing the communication very diplomatically between us and the buyer to resolve any points of negotiation without always needing to go through lawyers, saving legal costs.Katherine prides herself on being very proactive making sure everyone is kept up-to-date at all times and she always responded to our phone calls the same day without fail. Our sale took quite a long time in a difficult market but Katherine was consistently upbeat and encouraging at all times. Most importantly she cares for you as her client and her sound advice was pivotal to the successful sale of our land.

First time buyers and sellers review ash branch with agent jason

Our first contact with Mackenzie smith estate agents in ash was in 2018. All of the staff at Mackenzie smiths were polite and helpful when we made any contact with them particularly Jason, Who was the main agent managing the purchase of our first home. Jason was informative, professional and efficient whilst dealing with our purchase and had extensive knowledge about the area we were purchasing the property from which we found useful being first time buyers with no insight on the surrounding area. In 2019 after extensive renovation work we decided to put our home on the market and made no hesitation deciding to ask The same branch and team to advertise our home for sale on our behalf after a successful smooth purchase the first time around. Some parts of the process slower than expected but at no fault of the agents side of things but in-fact our party solicitors who we found to be at fault for a lot of the delays in the process.In summary, we are pleased with the service overall received from Jason and his team at Mackenzie smiths in ash and would not hesitate to work with them in the future. No help with mould issues from the beginning of tenancy

It’s a shame there is no option for 0 stars! We rented a new build flat in Fleet, our tenancy started almost 3 years ago. From the outset there were some damp and mould issues, of which Mackenzie Smith arrange for the builders of the property to review. They bullied my girlfriend and tried to blame our furniture, claiming it must have been stored in wet conditions (all furniture was purchased as new)We have also had multiple other issues with little to no help from Mackenzie Smith or the landlords.We reported that our freezer door had a fault well over a year ago, this has still not been fixed.We are now going to be starting our own family and need to upsize. The 2 month notice has stopped us from being able to rent another property and so we have asked for some help from Mackenzie smith and the landlords for a reduced notice period. We requested this as we cannot afford to rent two properties and have not been able to rent a property suitable for us once our tendency ends. Given the multiple issues (some I have not even mentioned), I believe that both Mackenzie smith and the landlords could have helped a young family trying to make their way in the world.If you use Mackenzie smith, they will not be helpful for any issues raised. I would urge everyone to avoid renting via their services.

Jason was very professional and very thorough in keeping the whole chain abreast of where each party was in the process, even for all the other purchasers/sellers and agents. The choice of estate agents in Fleet in mind boggling. We discussed the marketing of our flat in Elvetham Heath with two agencies and MacKenzie Smith undoubtedly was our 1st choice. The softer, more professional approach of Andy Moran was preferred over the more "hard sell" of the other agency. We then asked a local market "professional" whom we have known for many years whether our instincts were correct and we were told "definately". Hence the decision was taken. - We closed on the sale yesterday and achieved 95% of the recommended asking price which we felt, in today's tough market, was more than acceptable. - The communication between ourselves and Andy Moran and Luke was flawless. - When we visited the local office the ethos of the company came through: very professional, but with a good sense of humour.
