I can honestly say that prior to that we had tried all other agents in East Dulwich and the service from the other agents was always poor. Truepennys are very family like agents and you can speak to your personal agent so you do not have to deal with several different people. GoogleI had a very bad experience with these so-called property consultants with a lack of honesty and transparency from the start. The estate agent didn’t have a clue what he was talking about when he showed me around a property I was interested in and I found his and another agent's phone and email etiquette absent and at times rude and condescending. I decided to put forward an offer on the property as I liked it regardless, but I received mixed messages from these agents on my offer, each telling me different things about what the vendor wanted and making me question their ability and join-up as a business. I was then told my offer had been accepted and sent a memorandum of sale but then SILENCE. I had to repeatedly call them, they promised calls back which I never received and my emails went unanswered. I eventually had to find out from their lettings agent of all people that the seller had withdrawn. In my case, it seemed there was no trust or usual business-client relationship between Truepenny’s and the seller and no care from Truepenny’s as to how they treat buyers. Their incompetence caused stress and a difficult financial situation with my mortgage advisor and solicitor. I never received a call or email from Truepenny's following up on what was an absolutely shambolic experience. Having now read other reviews on here, I suspect they might have been lying about my offer being accepted all along.
Dear Cleo, I am disappointed and sorry to read about your negative experience with Truepenny’s, not one we want any of our clients to go through. I have looked into this matter with Connor and the sales team, it seems we were caught in the middle between yourself and the vendor. Who initially instructed us to sell on their behalf and then changed their mind and decided to sell through auction. Due to the vendor’s telephone absenteeism, we came across as non-communicative. The vendor informed Truepenny’s of their change of mind, three days after memoranda of sale were issued - we contacted you immediately after being informed. Having an offer accepted and then later rescinded by the vendor is extremely frustrating. It has happened to me personally, is infuriating! I can completely empathise with your exasperation and anger - Having agreements dissolve is also frustrating for agents, it’s the last thing we want to have happen. We have tried to contact you on a couple of occasions to go through the chain of events in more detail, still happy to do so if you have a minute to discuss? GoogleI was very happy with the customer service provided by Truepenny's. An agent took me in to view the property on the spot as the other agency did a no show. I asked and the agent who was already there was more than willing to show me the property and we took it from there to now having moved in. Truepenny's did everything they could to speed up the process to get me moving into the property swiftly which was essential for my situation. I came to collect the keys finally and was met by a group of incredibly friendly and service oriented team. I would therefore highly recommend them :-)

I wish I had gone to them in the first instance, Connor Brewer was my main contact throughout, from putting the property on the market right through to completion. Totally professional, nothing was too much trouble, and for me a big plus was being able to contact their office about anything and know that I would always have a swift response. Sarah G helped us look for some place and was so kind when showing us around. Was reassuring and could answer all questions so little ambiguity.
