GoogleAs a first time buyer, I didn’t have a clue what I was doing. Sugdens estate agents gave me the best experience of what buying a house should be like, they were crystal clear on the process, a dream to speak to as they always picked up phone and emailed back rapidly, gave me a solicitors who I could trust (Woodhall solicitors) who by the way managed to get the sale completed in 8 weeks 2 days and made things so easy. They couldn’t honestly improve anything, it was perfect. When I went to collect keys I even received a nice moving in gift from them which was a really lovely surprise. 100% recommend using these estate agents if you’re thinking about buying/selling/renting out your property. Thanks for everything and helping me get my first property! Jack

Sugdens in Cleckheaton... The worst agency I ever had to deal with. Horrible and disgusting experience. I can write the whole essay but will leave a few words as I don't think it deserves. Disrespectful, unprofessional, lazy liars. I am sure that even in such countries like North Korea or russia customers can get better, more qualified and more polite service than there. As a buyer, it’s easy to feel like you’re not always the priority when dealing with estate agents, but Louise made sure we felt supported throughout. She kept us consistently updated and was always on top of everything, which made a huge difference. A big thank you to the whole team as well, everyone we dealt with was friendly, approachable, and always happy to help. Their communication and professionalism made the entire process feel seamless and far less stressful than we anticipated!

GoogleI accepted an offer on my property. After a considerable delay, the buyer returned with a revised offer £5,000 lower, allegedly for cosmetic works. The estimate supplied for these works was £3,000. Despite this, the agent handling my sale advised me to accept the reduced offer. No clear justification was provided for recommending a £5,000 reduction for works quoted at £3,000, nor was any negotiation or challenge of the buyer’s position suggested. When I questioned this advice, the response was abrupt and the conversation was ended without proper discussion or explanation. A complaint was raised with with the branch manager who assured me that said agent would not deal with any aspect of my sale going forward. The revised offer and the property subsequently proceeded at the original agreed price. Had I followed the advice given, I would have suffered an unnecessary £5,000 loss, and unfortunately the assurances were also broken, at the latter stages of my sale and said agent was reassigned to my account. I would expect an estate agent to negotiate robustly on behalf of their client and to provide reasoned, professional advice. In this instance, the advice offered was neither adequately explained nor aligned with my financial interests, which raises serious concerns about the standard of service provided.

Not only did she keep me well informed of the process, she also kept my buyer informed and acted as a liaison between myself and the solicitors. She has been an absolute pleasure to do business with and is a credit to the estate agents. The process was easy and I felt comfortable during what should have been a stressful sale. Mark was very professional and as I was selling the house on my own and was very nervous mark said he would hold my hand all the way through the process and they did . GoogleSugdens were a dream to work with from start to finish and I'd highlighly recommend them to anyone thinking of going up for sale! Special thanks to Louise who was professional, in regular contact and gave excellent customer service from start to finish. Mark and Jayne were also helpful throughout the course of the sale. They made the process so easy from beginning to end! I'd just recommend not going with their preferred Solicitors, Elite Property Law, as they were not pleasant to deal with at all; thank goodness for Sugdens being happy to communicate with EPL on my behlaf! All in all, a wonderful experience and highly recommended to all!

GoogleBought a house recently through Sugdens and I've got to say, I was very pleased with how they handled everything from start to finish. Big shout out to Louise for all the help she gave us. She always stuck to her promises and dealt with every problem we faced efficiently. She always called us to update us about any queries we had. Never left us in the dark about anything - if she informed us she'd contact us back about a question, she stuck to that. Very rare to have someone always fulfilling their promises and she always made sure to do that. The other staff members were always on board to help as well in her absence so it was a team effort. Can't really thank the team at Idle enough for helping us buy our new home.

GoogleI used Sugdens in Idle to sell 2 properties over a period of 1 year. The 2 sales were not straightforward ( not Sugdens fault) but both were dealt with very professionally and communications were excellent. All the team were easy to deal with and kept me fully informed at all times. A special mention to Louse who I mainly dealt with , and for her friendly professional manner. Thanks Peter

GoogleDo not rent from this agency. Always come across really nicely on the phone but never follow through with anything they say. Incredibly dishonest and money hungry agency. We paid an extortionate rent for the area and had to deal with mould, damp, bug infestations, holes in walls and heating not functioning properly. They were always reluctant to do anything, and, when they did, work was usually done to an incredibly poor standard or not completed. When we moved in the house was filthy, complete with poo in the toilet. They take absolutely no care of their tenants and protect their landlords at all costs. When we complained they served us a section 21. But really so pleased to have finally got away from them, formal complaint with the ombudsman and legal case pending against them. If you are a prospective tenant AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
