GoogleI was in the process of buying a property via Strettons auctions and I found from Day 1 - Robert Hills was very helpful and diligent. There were many complications attached to the property including special conditions of sale, viewing etc. Rob made me aware of the special conditions and even went out of his way to deal with them. At every stage Rob kept me informed, answered my questions, liaising with the seller and the lawyers throughout. I didn't get the property at the end but I do look forward to working with Rob and Strettons again. Highly recommend the auction house.

They are friendly, approachable and willing to assist in all aspects of both purchasing and selling at auction. What can be a daunting process was made seamless and easy. Thank you particularly to Maryam who was in constant communication and replied to all emails within 10 minutes. You don’t get this high level of professionalism often. GoogleRented my first flat from Strettons in 2020 and from then I had just positive experience! Michael Mercer is an outstanding human being who loves his job and always help with any situation! Matched perfectly the need I had with the first two bed room flat and when I needed to change for a one bed made it smooth and perfect! Zita Man and Frances Kent are very lovely ladies always ready to help and support with any necessity! Thank you Strettons East Team for making my renting experience so nice!

GoogleVery disrespectful and unprofessional service. As soon as we made a second offer, the agent went on holiday, he didn’t give any holiday notice to us and didn’t tell us the other agent will take the listing. We had been waiting for his update and tried to contact him lots of time(phone call, text, email and voice message) but he ignored it. Meanwhile we found the property had been under offer on the website. When the agent came back to the work, he just texted us he was away over the week without wifi. No explanation, no apologies at all.

GoogleAs tenants of 5 years, we maintained our flat to high standards. Despite negotiating in good faith for a tenancy renewal amid a significant rent hike, we were informed of the landlord's decision to sell. This news came via email on a Saturday morning of a bank holiday weekend (effectively causing significant stress throughout what was supposed to have been a nice weekend!). Strettons, apart from one email redirecting us to the lettings team, did not actively assist in helping us find a new property. After we vacated, the property shifted from a 'for sale' to a 'for let' listing! Additionally, the return of our deposit took nearly a month, with disputes arising over proposed deductions for what we deemed as wear and tear. It got to the point where we were ringing or emailing daily to enquire about when we'd expect a return of our deposit. In summary, our experience with Strettons lacked the expected respect and appreciation for us as tenants, leaving room for improvement in tenant relations and deposit returns.

GoogleSomehow got the address and details of my deceased Grandfathers property. Sent numerous letters to my Grandfathers house addressing him personally, despite him passing away months before. Sent numerous letters to my old adresss and to my Fathers address. Very pushy sales tatic, would not use them solely based on how they have acted.

GoogleWe'd not used Strettons in auction before but were aware of their strong regional presence in London E17 and beyond. Their surveyor Michael Mercer was hugely straightforward at all times, advising us of the pros and cons of auction, of the benefits of setting an achievable price, and other facets of the process such as contributions to legal fees, etc. Auction day was smooth, and the paperwork afterwards was dealt with efficiently and professionally. The Strettons service is recommended.
