I wish you could select no stars. They don't deserve 1 star. They deserve minus five stars. Do not give your money to Stewart Milne. They employ cheap contractors who provide cheap inadequate workmanship and then once you have moved in and you find all the problems with quality of fitting kitchens, bathrooms and carpets they don't want to know. Shabby, unprofessional, incaring management. Even their Director is unapproachable.

Terrible build quality, shocking after sales service, have never been so disappointed after buying numerous new builds from value builders with no issues using a highly priced Stuart Milne having over 200 snagging issues still not resolved 18 months later is unacceptable . Worse company I have ever dealt with

Fantastic Experience from Stewart milne at Bayley Croft development The sales staff outstanding Michelle explained everything clearly and filled us with confidence she knows her site in side out. The site team Nick and Neil could not have been more helpful we love our new home and will not hesitate to recommend this company to others

Colinhill Grange development Strathaven......Reed Way. Emergency call out in my opinion will wait and see if Stewart milne agree. Would be great if customer services could contact me to discuss and explain that after two years from purchasing a new build water is entering my property. On inspection the lack of cement between the bricks is a clear indicator of the issue. Pointing was on my snagging from day one. Which is still outstanding, covid has only been with us for 1 year so cant use that as an excuse as im in the property 3 years in August. By the look of it and the mould it has been leaking for a while. No one picking phone up in customer services. Email sent to customer services. Photos available to view. Emergency number to call 03453583630 just shows how professional this company is when you call the emergency hotline. Automated voice tells you to hold to speak to someone. Then you are cut off every time. How can anyone take this company seariously if they can't get their emergency line in order.

Incredibly disappointed with our Stewart Milne experience. They operate using mainly sub contractors and take no responsibility for their poor work. They seem to have no interest in health and safety. Our road surface was unsafe for over 12 months to the point children were injured. We have now been told that they will not be following up on our outstanding snagging and that WE as a customer need to chase them for outstanding issues. Dreadful experience. We feel so let down by them. We have a faulty front door that we were told would be replaced as it has bowed. This means our house is cold and the door looks squint. We have waited for months to now be told the site team think our door is fine and it won’t be replaced. The site team personnel also change every five minutes. So it is impossible to know who to contact to get things sorted. Friends and family that have bought with other builders have had a far better experience.Interestingly, when we first moved in we were impressed by their customer service. We felt like they truly cared and wanted to do a great job.... however the minute we completed our NHBC survey things went downhill. If I could take my high score back I would. The initial customer care is clearly to get a good survey review. After that, they don’t care.

Do not buy a house through Stewart Milne. Such a shame because the plot of land we bought our house on is in such a good location. We have lived in our house for 3 years now and we have had nothing but problems. The estate is still not finished and they are even refusing to finish certain areas off, stating that they are complete. Many lies got told in the sale of our house and snags are yet to be complete, they have had 2 attempts at joinery issues, being a timber frame company you would think this would be easy, certainly not (still not sorted). They carried out work to our garden without our permission or knowledge (whilst at work) and have made a right mess of it. Now they refuse to have any responsibility in putting it right. Unfortunately I haven't got anything positive to say about Stewart Milne. Workmanship is poor and the customer services is unbelievably poor. Many houses on the estate are being sold due to the issues caused by Stewart Milne, which sums them up.

Dargavel Village Plot 186 - Very attentive at the sales side ..but once you are in expect dreadful service. After 14 months we still don't have our 7day and 14 day fault list (its long) even barely started. Doors missing from kitchen, Completely different work surface finishes, No tiles or back splashes on kitchen or utility, Boiler yet to be boxed in garage door not opening. The worst plastering I have ever seen in my life...Outside pointing a disgrace. Doors that shut automatically that would take your fingers off. I could go on and on and on. Probably the worst company I know for after sales. Take your money get you in and then don't want to know you. I just wonder if Stuart Milne board know how poorly they are looking after their customers.. All my neighbours have the same feeling and we tell everyone. With a New house you are always going to get problems but a measure of a good company is how well they respond to fix these problems. I give Stewart Milne a 0/10.

This review relates de the presales experience. We couldn't be happier with Dawn L at Calderwood. Straight forward communication, no fooling around with fake deadlines as sadly experienced with Miller. Options are not designed to rip you off, everything is included (except flooring) and there is no such thing as a 'premium' list with extra cost on top. It is a pleasure buying our new home with them and hopefully the ownership experience will be just as good.

Bought my home from SM 2 yrs this January and the customer care they provide is absolutely disgusting. From the moment we paid our deposit we have been treated with such disregard I can't even explain. Our snagging list isn't even half way completed and the amount of snags that need re done is shocking. Fed up with due to COVID My snagging should have been completed well before COVID. My advise think very seriously before you part with your cash. I will never buy SM again.

To start with they are great and really fill you with confidence.The house itself is okay, and I had relatively minor snags ~35.The issue comes once you are in the house and you've completed the feedback survey they pester you about. Almost the minute after you have provided the survey they switch off and literally do not want to know. I've had an issue and I am being fobbed off over and over. They want you to manage the issue yourself instead of them taking responsibility.If I could take back my previous survey scores I would as its clearly all a show to get you to score high. The minute thats done, so are they. Buying a house if often the biggest purchase anyone will make. This builder acts like you bought a pack of sweets and you're not happy with the flavour. Dont expect to receive good customer care for long! (about 30 days after purchase it stops dead)

GoogleLovely scheme vist friend who just moved there. Beautiful massive back garden . 3 bedroom house however didn't like too ask price. Houses are close together though so hopefully you have good relationship with neighbours.

The level of customer service since moving in has been appalling, we have spent 9 months chasing builders around trying to get some basic snags resolved. Lack of customer service and respect from the construction management team. Constantly told what I wanted to hear but nobody stepped up and took ownership. I have been told the head of customer services has been in meetings for 9 months.
