GoogleRecently purchased our property via the rainford branch. June and Taylor were extremely professional and helpful throughout the process and nothing was ever too much trouble.

GoogleAs a landlord they offer a dismal service. Where do I start? Very responsive at the beginning, but once you hand your money over that stops. They take days to get back to you and you must do all the chasing; there were several times where I would send THREE emails about something before I got a reply. I had to increase the rent my myself after doing my own research. Jobs didn’t get done - one job they said they did, and after 3 weeks of chasing them, they admitted they forgot. I was ALWAYS chasing them; they don’t do anything at all except take your money. Then to top it all off, when my tenant handed in their notice, they DID NOT tell notify me until a week later, so instead of the usual 4 weeks’ notice, I only had 3 to get a new tenant in, how can they not realise that is would be a priority?? When I decided to move away they didn’t even do the final inspection properly. The photos were of very poor quality and I didn’t notice that my house had been damaged. I only found this out from the NEW letting agent, as they did a proper inspection and showed me all the damage the tenant had done, but by now, the keys had already been handed over. Negligence at its finest! They also sneaked in extra fees about halfway through my term. It was all legal, it was just sneaky, and I missed it because it was just a one liner hidden right in the middle of a usually boring email. You could blame that on me, but really, if they were transparent, they’d have sent a separate email about it, or opened the email with that instead of hiding it halfway trough. Shady sales tactics stay away.

They dealt with any questions we had, promptly and efficiently. Everything went through smoothly without any problems and therefore we feel happy to recommend to any potential clients.

GoogleMy partner and I have just bought our first house and have no complaints about using Stapleton Derby. They kept us informed at every stage of the process and acted as a great intermediary between us and the vendors. June went on annual leave during the transaction and there was a seamless transition between her and Taylor. This really helped in the continuity of communication. When it came to pick up our keys, they had prepared a lovely box of goodies that made the occasion even more special. I would recommend them to anyone.

GoogleBoth June and Taylor were amazing throughout the whole process, kept us up to date and went above and beyond when my mum passed away suddenly in rhe middle of the selling process. Would highly recommend them to anyone, they have really looked after the family, in what has been a very stressful and upsetting time.

GoogleI wanted to let something from them yeaterday, went to the viewing and I said I need it, I want.to put down the holding deposit. She said, ok call the office. I did and I said the same, I need it and where to send the deposit... they did not let me do it, took my number and name, and promised they will call me back same day. No call from them. Today I called them and they played the dumb, and they said someone already put down the holding deposit. Ridiculous Too bad I can not give 0 stars

GoogleI had a very positive experience being supported by June from the Rainford branch during the purchase of my home. June was always honest and gave my advice when I needed it, nothing was too much trouble. 100% would recommend!

GoogleThe Rainford Branch dealt with our sale and June and Taylor were fantastic ! They were on the ball and proactive and we achieved sale within the valuation scale advised within a relatively short time. We wouldn’t hesitate to use them again and we would highly recommend them

GoogleIf I could rate this company 0 stars then I would! We moved into a property in St Helens with our 3 month old son and less than 10 days in to our tenancy we reported damp in the main bedroom. Fast forward two years (and a lot of complaints and sleepless nights) and the house was full of mould and damp. Our belongings were ruined and we were told that black mould isn’t dangerous!! It took us handing our notice in for the MD to get involved who, on a visit to our home, advised that photos were all well and good but he needed to see the mould (we had to get rid of our wooden dining room table and chairs due to the mould - we weren’t prepared to let our now two year old eat at a table like that). We were also obviously trying to remove the mould daily due to having a toddler! We have literally been told to wipe down our belongings, and that when we move into a property without damp all “should” be fine. Our son potentially has asthma (he was given an inhaler weeks after moving into that property) and so our confidence isn’t great! Stapleton Derby have basically washed their hands of any responsibility and we are yet to receive even an apology from them!! We moved out in November 2023 and the property has only been advertised for re-rent at the end of January 2024 - yet we were told the property was habitable?!? Beware of property for rent in brynn street st helens

GoogleFantastic experience using Stapleton Derby Estate Agents. Lovely friendly staff. Sue Bradley went above and beyond to get my mother's house sold. It wasn't an easy sale and Sue worked tirelessly to get it completed. Sue is a credit to the company. I would thoroughly recommend Stapleton Derby, the selling fees are very competitive. Very happy. GoogleI was stupid enough to use this company as my managing agent for properties. I rented out. As a non resident landlord I expected a professional service from a company that initially charged 12%. This being reduced to due to poor service from them. They have some conscientious staff but are clearly led by and let down by the incompetence and arrogance of the owner. This company has failed to adequately respond to requests, failed to properly manage my properties and failed to properly discharge their duties in relation to inspections and end of tenancy protocols. I have since taken my two properties elsewhere to be managed, the standards I now enjoy are beyond comparison. If you are a landlord think very carefully before using this business, I was always a landlord who cared for my tenants and took my responsibility seriously. Unfortunately this was not the attitude of Stapleton Derby.
