GoogleWe are now finally at the end of our first experience with home buying and are extremly thankful for the support and guidance from Seymours. Adam in particular made the process much less stressful for us than we had thought it would have been. We recieved regular communication about updates in the chain, and Adam was always friendly and easy to chat to. This was something we particulary appreciated. On top of everything else, Adam tirelessly helped us in the final stages of the move, when we were struggling to get communication between solitors; without his effort we probably still would't be moving in! GoogleI started looking for a property over a year ago and had major letdowns by several estate agents. I finally found a property through Seymours. The service provided by Seymours was second to none. The first impression from Harley (Sales Negotiator) was remarkable. At that step, I felt, I am going to have a great experience with Seymours and indeed it was THE best transaction experience I ever practiced. The service received from Seymoure was completely different from other estate agents. The team I involved was proactive, well-informed, responsive, and friendly. After using Seymours ten years ago and being delighted with their excellent service I used the Blackwater office this summer and they were really top notch again. Aiden helped so much in dealing brilliantly with the sale of my house and also with my elderly mother's purchase of a flat.

I'm talking about the Woking branch. Very bad experience. These guys are only interested in money and they were only trying to confuse our landlord to get extra "illegal fees" from us. I don't want to bore you with the details, but here are some tips if you have to deal with them:- All in written, don't trust them ever.- After a year of contract, get them to reduce the notice period to 1 or 2 months (most). They'll come all the time with "we have to check with the landlord" but at the end is all BS. This will save you a lot of trouble, as they are not going to look for replacements when they can charge you whatever they want if you leave the house earlier. They will rather leave the house empty and you will lose a lot of money.- Whatever price they tell you at the beginning, I'm sure you can reduce it by at least £100. Keep negotiating as all the prices are inflated!- They will ask you to pay more after a year of contract. Refuse it. They will "ask the landlord" and renegotiate. - If you are leaving the house and things didn't go well with them, they will try to access the house even without telling you with 24h in advance. This is illegal. Install a camera if you want proof of this.- Ask for your landlord contact details.It's a shame that we, as tenants, have to deal with these kind of companies that are completely soulless. Sometimes is unavoidable to deal with them, so I hope this helps the next tenant to do so.Not sure how these people sleep at night, knowing they are not precisely making this a better world. Money is not everything people!EDIT 09/10/2021: After reading the first reply, I contacted them with my real name (it was set as Tyson on TP). They replied and asked for more detailed feedback, which I provided. After that, I got no further answer. This review is legit, it is just not interesting for them that this info is public, but that's the point of TrustPilot! I've added a review on google with some screenshots, if anyone is interested in following the rest of the story and the truth! :)

TrustpilotAvoid Seymours at all costs
Avoid Seymours at all costs. They are quick enough to take your money and then cling onto it when you move out. We moved into our property in October 2020 and had nothing but problems. Problem after problem, no hot water, no bath plug, a shower curtain where the pole fell down every time you got in, blocked drains, broken windows, no heating, no lights in bathroom, no extractor fan and the list goes on. We moved out 2 weeks ago and still awaiting our deposit. They have gone round and said we are liable and will be charged for things that were already there. It’s funny how Seymour’s do the check in report so they don’t note anything down, whereas the checkout report is done by an external company. Why’s that? Oh to find any reason to not give us our deposit back. We moved out because our windows never worked when we moved in. I reported the problem early March stating the windows do not open and we moved out last week of September and still had no indication what was going on with the windows. We have a 1 year old child and to live in a flat where the windows didn’t open was not on. Not only was this illegal as was deemed a fire escape from the fire service, we were not offered any air con units or any fans. The landlord accepted a 25% reduction in rent but what’s that when we were living in a sweat box. A few of our neighbours didn’t have anything nice to say about Seymour’s and I totally see why. I will never ever rent or buy through Seymour’s and I wish I listened to the reviews before we went with Seymour’s.

Brilliant service from beginning to end. Ben valued the property within one day of call. Marketing material was impressive and very professionally produced. Property sold at very good price within 4 days. Josh took over from there. He liaised directly with the local solicitor acting on our behalf. He kept in constant contact and kept all parties on board throughout. He accompanied all viewings, as we were unable to be there. He even stepped in and oversaw the house clearance when the company arrived early and we were "parked" on the M25.Superb service. Ultra efficient and totally professional.Great company.
