GoogleAfter having tried 2 more local agents, I can very strongly recommend Sewell & Gardner to anyone selling or buying a house in Chorleywood. Apart from their efficiency and professionalism, they add the elements of honesty and humanity to the process; in the nerve-racking process of selling/buying a house, this is a very welcome breath of fresh air!

GoogleI wouldn't recommend this agent, as a property investor i have dealt with different solicitors, agents and vendors but the recent property i bought with them was the worst experience in 10years of buying properties. From the beginning i was advised that solicitors they use are extremely good (which wasn't the case), the vendor and a fellow employee (Tyler) and the agent were extremely unprofessional during the whole process and the parties were constantly blaming each other for mishaps or things not being progressed. no sense of creating a 'win win' situation for e.g. the vendor wanted to charge £100.00 for a fridge when you can buy a new one for £150.00. ridiculous! it wasn't about the price difference but rather no sense of commerciality. don't trust the solicitors they use (regardless of what the agent states) and don't trust the agents!

GoogleSewell & Gardner Watford Branch are a cut above the rest. I would not hesitate in recommending Joe Rylett and his team in all property related matters. Unlike other estate agents I have dealt with over the years I have found Joe and his team to have integrity, honesty and professionalism whilst always providing me with sound and candid advice. Unfortunately I can only give Joe & Sewell & Gardner 5 ***** but would like to give more . If only all Estate Agents in Watford strived to reach these hights

GoogleGood experience dealing with Joe and the team to sell our house on the Byewaters estate. Secured a price above our expectations and within a short timeframe, enabling us to get a good deal on what we bought. Open and honest communication with the team throughout and all at a rate lower than the rest of the competition. Not the usual corporate approach and better for it. Only query was the cost to market our property for which an invoice arrived, this quickly vanished when raised. Also bought our property through the Croxley branch and can't recommend them highly enough. Chris and Tyler did a fantastic job, very personable and professional. One word of advice however to Sewell & Gardner is not to recommend 'When You Move' as conveyancers, very inefficient and process driven, pushing items not within their standard process back on you.

GoogleOllie and Emily did an awesome job of helping the sale go through. They were very responsive and kept me up to date with how the process was going. It took longer than expected due to some legal complications out of our control but they were very patient and made sure everything was moving forward. I highly recommend working with this team if you are looking to sell.

GoogleWhen I decided to move nearer to my family it was a huge decision. I had been in my house for 39 years, had been widowed a few years previously and found the whole thought of the process terrifying. To add to my concern, my house was "in need of modernisation" which a lot of viewers don't want. However, when Sewell & Gardner came to see it they didn't focus on the negatives but praised the positives. Sewell & Gardner were brilliant! They always phoned to update me when they said they would, even if they had no new information. They included me in decisions, rather than telling me what to do and emailed my daughter to keep her updated as well. They accompanied viewings and gave me prompt feedback. No one can make things happen in the process of selling or buying a house and Sewell & Gardner constantly chased to keep things moving and joined in my delight when I got the exchange settled. They were, throughout, amazing!

GoogleAfter having issues with other Estate Agents who didn't seem to take my questions & inquiries seriously, it was great to engage with Sewell & Gardner's Watford/Rickmansworth team. Excellent communication throughout the whole process, keeping me involved and updated the entire time. As a first time buyer, what could have been massively stressful, was made effortless by their help and support.

In particular, I would like to thank Ollie Jimminson who we worked with throughout the process and he made the whole process stress free by his professional work attitude. He efficiently handled the negotiation process and whenever it was necessary to chase other parties, he did the needful. He kept us communicated on the whole process and he is very easy to approach. I highly recommend Sewell & Gardner if you are planning to purchase/sell a house.

It has been a wonderful experience for us. The speed at which the viewing and decision making took place for agreeing on the final buying price was just commendable. We would like to list down few reasons for this review: 1. The transparency provided during the initial stages of the process - viewing booking and interests on the property. 2. Genuine approach shown during the negotiation stage was quite clear. 3. Keeping both parties interests in mind and not just the seller. 4. Being patient and accomodative to either parties requests. 5. GoogleI have just bought and sold through Sewell and Gardner Chorleywood. It was a long drawn out process due to the Covid market and buyers pulling out etc. But it felt the whole team were invested in helping us achieve our sale. Really friendly team, caring and understanding - no pushy sales people here, but genuine people who want to help buyers find a home. Many thanks - I will be back once I’ve modernised this one ;-)
