GoogleI rang to ask about a property, was told it was available just need to submit a form. Within couple hours, received an email that it is fully booked. They already did a soft check and gathered my information... not happy and am complaining. They are harvesting other peoples data ..

GoogleI rarely leave negative reviews, but unfortunately my experience with Tom at Scargill Mann & Co has been extremely disappointing. My wife viewed a property and submitted an offer over three weeks ago. Since then, we have received absolutely no communication or update whatsoever. Despite chasing by telephone on multiple occasions, our follow-up calls have gone unanswered or ignored, leaving us with no idea whether our application has been accepted, rejected, or even considered. At this stage, we've decided we no longer want the property purely on principle. A simple phone call or email to keep applicants informed is the bare minimum level of professionalism expected from an estate agent. Poor communication and a complete lack of customer service have left a very negative impression. I hope this feedback encourages improvements for future applicants

I have investigated your issue around communication, you state you have received 'absolutely no communication or update whatsoever'. I can see my colleague Keira has communicated with your partner Lucy on several occasions between 3rd - 17th June, each time we have provided you with an update on your offer. As we have said each time, we are waiting on the landlord to make a decision on who he would like to proceed with. The landlord of this particular property does like to take time to consider all applications before making decision. We appreciate the time frame on the landlords decision may not suit you, but unfortunately the landlord will not be rushed on the decision. We wish you well on your search for a new property. GoogleJust be careful when letting a house through Scargill and Mann they will scam your deposit money out off you right to the last penny! As you can see we were charged the most random about including £204.16 (odd amount to start with why the 16p) for a Wheelie bin to be emptied which is what I pay council tax for. Plus the bin had rubbish in when we moved into the property. Also got charged for abandoned items (plant pots that were in the garden to start with) We were also charged for light bulbs... light bulbs we had to put in ourselves. So if you are letting through this agency don't expect your deposit back they will claim every last penny! We also had horrendous mound which never got sorted, which caused my daughter to be in and out of hospital from birth to nearly 18 months old with various breathing problems. Since moving we have had no hospital trips! So be extremely wary of the conditions they will not sort!

Tried to enquire about a property countless times. No one answers the phone and always get told you’ll receive a call back which you don’t. If you’re renting don’t bother and go elsewhere.

GoogleThe house Irented was dangerous to live in. Rain was running in the house, ceiling come down, every room had wet walls, bathroom and kitchen a nightmare. Still, no repairs done and back on the market

Unfortunately the first attempt wasn't sufficient. The landlord did provide you with compensation for the inconvenience, whilst working on a solution to fix the property permanently. GoogleOn selling our home that we had lived in for nearly 50 years we were recommended to use Scargill Mann. It could not have been a better choice. Not only did the house sell quickly the sales team remained very active throughout and it was obvious that they were determined not to let things slip. We were always kept well informed of the progress being made by the solicitors and the buyers mortgage application. We would have no hesitation in using Scargill Man again and would recommend them to others selling in the Burton area.

GoogleBrilliant staff, from my first viewing to now that i have completed on a house, all of the ladies that i have been dealing with have been amazing, when viewing the property a few times I was allowed to take my time ask questions and it made all the difference not being rushed, the ladies in the office have all been great too, I mainly was in contact with Elaine, she has been great and helpful from start to finish, I honestly couldn’t recommend Scargill Mann & Co enough. GoogleWhat can we say other than Exceptional Service from Scargill Mann. They were the Estate agent handling the property we were purchasing and we really wished we had used them to handle our Sale too. Throughout the process, which took 7 months due to issues lower in the chain it was Scargill Mann that kept us up to date on any delays, contacted us regularly to check everything was ok or to push things along. When the Sale was ready to complete they also ensured we knew what steps we needed to take. Scargill Mann are clearly a professional business with experienced and knowledgeable staff, Jane was our contact and if she was not going to be available we knew who to contact instead. I would recommend Scargill Mann to all our friends and family, and if we need to move again would not think twice about using them
