We can only recommend S.J.Smith for your property sales in Staines. We had been badly let down by another estate agent and they were really happy to take us in and pull out all the stops for us - without ever charging any extras like the other estate agent tried to do with us! Hayden and Elliott were always polite, respectful and very patient with all our queries, kept pushing our property for viewings and got us through a successful sale which aligned perfectly for both the buyers and us. They were knowledgeable and personable as well, they're like a small family who understand your needs and your worries. Very far from the corporate feeling that other estate agents give. Simon at the Ashford offices took over the sales progressing once we had agreed a sale, and he was really good and knowledgeable as well. We can only thank S.J.Smiths for having worked with us so well and recommend them to anyone looking to sell in the area, you won't be disappointed!

We recently moved from Ashford Common to Scotland after 27 years. Our circumstances were a little tricky, as we had agreed to buy a house, while ours wasn't even ready to put up for sale, gulp. "No pressure" said Chad, with a grin. We were impressed with SJ Smith as they seemed to be the most active in the area, weren't typical estate agent pushy and were realistic with their valuations. Unlike others, where we would have been waiting for 6 months because of an overinflated value, before having to drop the price, something which we didn't have the time luxury to do. We signed up on the Friday, fluffed up the house over the long weekend, had photos and video taken on the Tuesday. It went on the market Wednesday, eight viewings on the Saturday, another two the following Tuesday - and we accepted an improved offer on the Wednesday, for more than we had originally imagined. So - sold in a week - can't fault that! Chad was reassuring and confident from the outset, Robert actually sold the house, but a big shout out to the star Simon, for enthusiastically keeping us updated and steering things along, despite the occasional hiccup. Unprofessional and Unreliable Avoid at All Costs Even this one star is like an Oscar for them if it’s someone who dealt with them once giving them one star. I’ve never encountered an agency as unprofessional and disorganized as this one in Ashford. They repeatedly cancel property viewings at the last minute not once, not twice, but multiple times…often with the same tired excuse that they “don’t have access.” If that’s the case, why are viewings being booked in the first place? What’s even more frustrating is that they show complete disregard for your time and effort. I traveled over 150 miles for a scheduled viewing, only to have it cancelled without any real explanation or apology. It’s clear they don’t value their clients’ time or money. To make matters worse, they’ve been known to take offers and even deposits on properties without the landlord’s knowledge. That’s not just unprofessional,it’s highly unethical. Please do yourself a favour and read the negative reviews. The glowing ones are clearly fabricated or incentivized…they don’t reflect the reality of dealing with this agency. In my experience, nothing about their conduct is professional. They will waste your time, your money, and test your patience to the limit. Steer well clear.

I just bought a house advertised by SJ Smiths and I had a generally good experience. It was a bit chaotic at times (not remembering what stages we were on, and what was still pending) and a race against time, but I think with the upcoming SDT tax changes, they must have been extremely busy and it's totally understandable. They were also very prompt in chasing the solicitor they have a partnership with (I decided to go with their suggestion). That is probably the only thing I think there's some room for improvement, their partnership for conveyancing services, although they make up for it by being totally on top of them. Thanks to Simon, Robert and Tim. As a FTB, it was a very pleasant experience, and it was all completed very quickly, despite the busy period.

I viewed the property and liked it put an offer and my offer was accepted. I went ahead to my mortgage Broker and spoke to her and shared her the details of sales Negotiator.
