We recently moved from Ashford Common to Scotland after 27 years. Our circumstances were a little tricky, as we had agreed to buy a house, while ours wasn't even ready to put up for sale, gulp. "No pressure" said Chad, with a grin. We were impressed with SJ Smith as they seemed to be the most active in the area, weren't typical estate agent pushy and were realistic with their valuations. Unlike others, where we would have been waiting for 6 months because of an overinflated value, before having to drop the price, something which we didn't have the time luxury to do. We signed up on the Friday, fluffed up the house over the long weekend, had photos and video taken on the Tuesday. It went on the market Wednesday, eight viewings on the Saturday, another two the following Tuesday - and we accepted an improved offer on the Wednesday, for more than we had originally imagined. So - sold in a week - can't fault that! Chad was reassuring and confident from the outset, Robert actually sold the house, but a big shout out to the star Simon, for enthusiastically keeping us updated and steering things along, despite the occasional hiccup. We sold our house and then later purchased the new house via S.J Smith, Ashford Middlesex and both times our experience was amazing with them. Everyone we dealt with was professional, courteous and we felt that they always had our best interest in their mind. We especially appreciated their perseverance in selling our house that was happening in difficult market conditions, but they managed to get there at the end. What can I say, SJ Smith they have been just brilliant. I bought the property from them 5 years back and sold it through them this year. When people say this takes months or years to go through the process I wouldn't believe that, as they bought the right buyer within the 1st week of putting the property out on market and completed within 2 months. I have also done the follow on property through SJ Smith Staines which was again smooth. I would 100% recommend SJ Smith Ashford and Stains both. They both have been managed by the brilliant team and management. SJ Smith also recommended to use the solicitor and they have been brilliant. Always available to take calls and took all the preasure to do the exchange and complision where SJ Smith have been in contact with them at all times which took the worry away from me. We’ve just had a worst experience with SJSmith letting agency! Please do not rent from them. Absolute nightmare. They took a £500 holding deposits. Assured us property is held for us. We passed our references then they gave the property to someone else and said because we couldn’t move in sooner. I have proof they confirmed the date we could move in, I gave notice to my landlord. They have caused so much stress. Most rubbish agency I’ve ever dealt with.
