Couldn't be happier with my new home. The process from start to finish was extremely smooth, with all the Rowland staff being very helpful and good at communicating at key points in the process. Matt in the sales office on site was particularly great, always helpful and friendly and made the process easy to understand.The walk round was well handled and lots of heplful information and guidance provided. So when I moved in today it was really simple to get everything registered and sorted out.The build itself is excellent. Great finish all round, good quality appliances and fittings, fantastic carpet and flooring and everything feels a really high quality. Really love my new home and can't wait to fully settle in there!

Great service

We have just recently moved into a rowland home on the Meadowgate development. From the initial phone call to book in a visit to the showhome to getting our keys the service was perfect. Matt was great throughout the whole process. He kept us up to date with weekly updates about the completion and when choosing our extras he was there to offer us advice but didn't pressure us into buying anything which enabled us to choose what was right for us. When doing home demo day both Matt and Stan were great it made moving in day less stressful as we knew how the house worked. After moving in a week later we received a courtesy call from Ryan to discuss any issues we had. We spoke with him and he took the time to listen to our snags and he sorted our problem out with the toilet that day. Throughout the whole process we have felt like valued customers and we absolutely love our new home.

A great experience buying my first home

After finding the meadow gate development online and falling in love with the floor plans for the Ashgate 2 I came to see Mathew in the sales office at the end of August last year and reserved my first home. An update on my review from almost two…

An update on my review from almost two months ago;I was emailed to say a Contracts Manager would be in touch. The person I assume it referred to has been on Site,and repeatedly walked past our house without so much as a glance to us. Obviously, I can only assume this, because no further contact has been made. After a week of dry Weather, a couple of hours Rain resulted in Puddles on our Garden. The Turf we laid is dying.In addition, we were told our Driveway would be relaid, no date given for this,and soon Contractors will be off Site.It would be nice for the MD to meet all those of us as a group who have Waterlogged gardens (socially distanced), and explain how he justifies taking our money and not giving us part of what we paid for. If we aren't being shafted, surely he will have the courage to do so.Again, the Irony is that I love 90% of the House, but we bought it as a package, and the outside space is a big thing, yet ours is unusable. Rowland, from Social media it seems you have contempt for purchasers. I for one won't be letting this go, nor should anyone else. Such a shame you make people feel like this. Over to you.

Best decision we ever made! It’s all in the details.

Myself and my husband have just moved into a Bonnington home at Meadow Gate. The entire process from start to finish was dealt with by Matt who went above and beyond from the very first meeting. We were made to feel like valued customers and nothing was ever to much. He went above and beyond during purchase to make sure we were happy with all the paper work and understood the process, as due to us being first time buyers all the lingo can be confusing. From putting down our deposit to completion we got regular updates about the build and all deadlines. He even chased up solicitors when we couldn’t, going above and beyond his role. Matt along with Stan showed myself around our home on demo day and nothing was left unturned. They spent about an hour going over all the finer details with me which made move in day smooth as I knew how everything worked. We have been moved in now for 4 days and we know now that buying form Matt at Rowland homes was the best decision we made for our family. We got our keys by half 11 on move in day which was so much quicker than we anticipated. We were greeted with a big smile on the Friday morning and some lovely welcome gifts! It really is the small things that make a huge difference. Since moving in we have found the odd snag but nothing major and I am confident that these will all get fixed in a timely manner due to the customer care we have already experienced. We are currently living in a house that is surrounded by unfinished houses. Yes it is quite literally a building site BUT the site team are AMAZING I cannot stress this enough the are courteous and friendly always stop and wave at our boys through the window (again the little things). If I could supply them with brews all day I would but there is too many of them! They are all a great bunch and I think we will actually miss the building work when it’s all finished. Everyone that has been part of our process has been a credit to the Rowland team and I would recommend a move to meadow gate to everyone!!

Happy first time buyer/ excellent staff

I have recently moved into a Renishaw house at the Meadow Gate estate and throughout the whole sales process Mathew was fantastic in his dealings with us, making sure we knew what was going on with our house and made us feel valued, rather than just being another customer. We have been looked after as first time buyers and we have felt very satisfied with our decision to buy with Rowland homes. Mathew has made our first home feel even more special.Ryan who is running customer care on the estate, messaged me on Sunday to visit my house. On Monday he came round and saw we had so many snags on our 7 day list to do. By Tuesday we had a new handy man called Andrew. Andrew was brilliant in sorting out pretty much every snag we had on our 7 day list across 2 days and worked for 8/9 hours each day to sort out our issues. I was/am extremely impressed with Ryan and Andrew on the estate and the efficiency in sorting out snags and putting existing home owners first. Since then Ryan has always given me courtesy calls to make sure things are going alright and to address any other minor snags we have had.I hope this high level of customer service continues into the future.The standard of build has been really good and we are really happy with the whole process.Jake Harness

Highly recommended Rowland at meadow gate & Matt

We moved into our first home and couldn’t be happier. The move in went so smoothly (picked our keys up at 11) after signing everything off with Matt. Throughout the whole process Matt was extremely helpful, answered all our questions and he’d always be happy to take any of our calls if we needed to speak to him. Our initial snag list was completed within a month of us living in the home which is pretty efficient considering there was no major snags within our home. Overall very happy with the whole process and couldn’t fault their work. Top lads on site and top people in the show homes!

We have had a great experience buying our first new home! Being new to the process of both buying a home & buying a new build, Kiera our sales rep at Finch Park was very helpful along the journey. She went through the entire process prior to the purchase, kept us well informed during the build and continues to be available when needed now that we have the keys to our lovely new home. We haven’t reserved a Rowland home yet due to our financial Situation but will be doing shortly at the Ulverston Site.We wanted to just mention the Level of service we received on Monday from Jordan was Amazing and very impressive. We could not get onto the plot due to health and safety Reasons but Jordan was very innovative and FaceTimed us and took us directly to the plot we wanted To see even though the weather was dreadful, he even took the time to send us a personal video of the plot so we could make an informed decision.He answered all of our questions with ease and we felt nothing was too much trouble. This young man goes above and beyond and we feel more than comfortable that we are in good hands once we are in the position to secure our plot.

We're currently nearing the end of our buying phase and the support we've received from the sales advisor Stephen has been nothing short of excellent, Rowland as a company have both listened to and actioned our requests whilst their communication has been swift and concise leaving no ambiguity. As an engineer I have followed the build process of our house closely and whilst not yet 'in' I can foresee no issues with the physical construction. We recently had to visit a different Builder for my daughters house purchase and was very disappointed with their abrupt and dismissive attitude all of which reinforced my assurance of dealing with Rowland. So far very happy.

Do not buy a Rowland home

Do not buy a Rowland home, the after sales service re snagging issues have been dire, they do not accept blame easily and every issue that has been addressed after buying the house has been very testing to say the least. First the flooring,very sub standard from a qualified floor fitter of over 30 years,argued the toss until spoken to by the fitter, then Rowlands re did all the downstairs flooring. Then replaced all the bathrooms extremely poor finish throughout, been in 12 months and snagging still not sorted. I cannot stress that I would NEVER buy another Rowland home after being told my standards are too high,I only wish I could attach the photos which suggest no standard reached to me and my family/friends

Mixed feelings

Let me say at the outset that we love our House on Pear Tree Grange, and if was finished to a great standard by the Foreman, Neil and when its finished the Site will look great.Unfortunately, our happiness is despite the efforts of Rowlands Sales and Office staff, who treat buyers as an Inconvenience, before and after completion. Our current issue is our Garden, which is essentially a Puddle across the width of the property, but Rowland expect us to monitor it over the coming months which will leave us with an unusable Garden next Spring and Summer.If you are thinking of buying a Rowland Home, dont expect a great buying experience that will make you feel like a valued customer, and don't expect a Garden you can use. You may get a well designed House finished to a good standard tho, we did thankfully**edit**Regarding the reply from Rowlands, we moved in July and Turfed in August, so its had plenty of time to settle in. This is what we are up against.

Mixed Review

First thing to say, is we love our House and it was finished to a really good, albeit not perfect standard. We were really happy that it was that way, after the appallingly sneering way we were treated by Head Office Sales staff during the Build. If you want to enjoy outdoor living in the Garden, maybe insist on the Garden being land drained. Ours is Waterlogged and has been since we moved in. Builders are only required to ensure 3M of Garden from the House is not Waterlogged, but despite ours being atrocious, Rowland are trying to dodge their obligations. Also, Rowland are notoriously bad at sorting out Snagging,especially once off site. We are having trouble getting our fairly short Snag list completed, and get little or no contact from Customer Care.

I would recommend buying a Roland home…

I would recommend buying a Roland home - this is my second Rowland home - I bought my first one back when Rowland was just starting out. Unfortunately due to personal reasons I had to sell. So I was over the moon when I saw the Thorne meadows development - beautiful location, great homes. We contacted the sales executive Stephen and we never looked back. He was so helpful/knowledgeable and couldn’t do enough for us. He helped make our dream home possible. We lived quite a distance away but this didn’t stop the communications. Stephen made us feel part of every little step, when we couldn’t attend face to face meetings Stephen set up regular Skype meetings to keep us up to date. He was great and made everything seem so personal, he was always cheerful and made us giggle, always made us feel welcome, nothing was too much trouble - we looked forward to each of our interactions. No query of ours was left unanswered - he was very organised with speedy turnaround. We felt reassured from start to finish. We have been in our new home just over a week and are thrilled to bits. Stephen has now introduced us to the site manager (who seems equally as professional and helpful as Stephen - to continue with our Rowland journey) we have also received communication from head office of who will be our Customer care point of contact post 6 months - this provides additional reassurance should support be required thereafter- this is new (in comparison to my first purchase - so a welcome addition).
