GoogleI recently completed on a sale that didn't go quite to plan initially (not the fault of Rolfe East). But they very quickly rescued the situation and worked hard to achieve the final result. Throughout the whole process they were always very helpful and professional. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

GoogleLaurence provided the best analyses when valuing my house and together we created an effective selling /pricing strategy. Laurence and his team gained multiple interested parties through maximising their database, creating a fab Rightmove advert and professionally presenting the house benefits during viewings. This allowed us to generate multiple bids. We had originally strategised and agreed on a guide price of £580,000 to generate interest, and we actually achieved £615,000! But then the stressful work really began as seeing the house to completion in this post-Covid world is hard work! I was amazed at the team's (Megan and Natalie) tenacity at this time to push through an exchange and completion against the backdrop of this slow, ineffective, bureaucratic and lowly staffed legal world we are all now forced to endure. They were awesome and simply didn’t give up, even fielding calls and texts far out of working hours and weekends. I cannot speak highly enough of them all. Having approached and investigated other agents in order to instruct on my house…. Well….the experience with Rolf East was far superior. I genuinely believe no other agent would have given me the same service or achieved such a good final selling price. Thank you Laurence for returning my faith in the estate agent industry. Up until Rolfe East came along, and largely as a result of poor previous experiences, I admit I had little if any faith in any of them! A very big thank you to you all!

GoogleWe viewed several properties with RolfeEast when searching for our new house in the Sherborne/Gillingham area. They were super efficient when responding to viewing requests and really flexible in organising viewings to suit our schedule. What was most impressive was that, having spoken to Lily in the Sherborne office about viewings, we chatted about the house my husband & I were looking for. Not long after I got an email from Lily with links to properties that she felt matched our requirements. This was a personal email, not an auto-generated match, and the properties were spot on! We never had this level of interaction and engagement with any of the other agents we were viewing properties with. Exceptional!

GoogleRolfe East have recently sold the Sherborne property which belonged to my mother, following her death at the end of last year. The sale has taken a long time, owing to lengthy delays due to the indecisions of one buyer, who let us down in the end. A new buyer was found quickly, and the sale has now completed. The process has been an emotional ride for obvious reasons. All the staff at Rolfe East have been very understanding and supportive throughout. Natalie in particular has been only too happy to answer emails and help chase up proceedings where necessary. I would have no hesitation in recommending this company for anyone needing to sell a property in the area.

GoogleWe marketed a village cottage property as executors in early March 2022. From the original visit and valuation carried out by Mr Laurence Truett together with his detailed marketing brochures, the entire process was seamless. Despite challenging boundary complications, the staff and particularly Megan and Natalie were always well informed, accurate and able to keep us up to date. Always amazed at their late and often out of normal office hours availability. Always professional and courteous, I have no hesitation in recommending Rolfe East in Sherborne to market any property for any potential future client.

GoogleLaurence and his team, with particular mention of Megan, have been exceedingly thorough and patient throughout what proved to be a very long and protracted sales process(not of their making I hasten to add). They have been quick to respond to my queries and questions, always return calls within a reasonable time frame, and have pursued the many enquiries and complex details with great professionalism, always keeping me informed. GoogleWe used Rolfe East to purchase a small property. Megan was very flexible on allowing us to view several properties outside of normal working hours. The communication was excellent and during the purchase process when things went quiet, Megan and co were more than happy to step in and chase the seller and their solicitor, which got things moving again. This all resulted in a clean and quick purchase experience. You should be very proud of the Sherborne team for their professionalism and friendly manner. Well done to you all.

GoogleDo not rent with this company!! They are scammers. I rented with them for 4 years paying almost £60,000 in rent over the years always on time and always reported and problems that I had. When I ended the tenancy they tried to charge me over £3000 to repaint the walls, fix flooring etc basically all the things the landlord should be doing at the end of a tenancy as these were issues from before I even started my tenancy. Once I threatened to take it further they dropped all charges. Now the next tenants have left and they are trying to do the same to them. They are a really disgusting company to rent with and the staff turnover is so high they don't even know what is going on. I had someone from the office calling me 6 months after I left asking if they could come and view the property! Stay far away from them.
Dear Rebecca. Having investigated this matter, we are surprised and disappointed by your assertions, especially given the nine months that have passed. The tenancy deposit refund process is between outgoing tenant and landlord, NOT ROLFE EAST, who merely act as conduit. Any disagreement would result in a dispute with the landlord at the Tenancy Deposit Scheme (TDS Independent Adjudicator). In this case, no dispute was raised. We believe you have misunderstood, and still misunderstand, the process. Not raising a TDS dispute is abnormal behaviour for one who believes someone has ‘scammed’ them. The landlord would always be adjudicated upon by the TDS if they have attempted anything unfair. De facto, a tenant CANNOT be ‘scammed’ in this way. Naturally, we are deeply disturbed by your choice of behaviour. 1) You left this property over six months ago but appear to have fermented a retrospective ‘viewpoint’ and chosen to post a potentially damaging, derogatory and factually incorrect review. Your review cannot be of the agent since the agent does not benefit from the end of tenancy process. We consider this to be ignorant, misguided, unreasonable and unacceptable. 2) When a tenancy starts, an INDEPENDENT assessment is made of condition by a third-party Inventory Clerk. Upon departure, a further report is compiled. These reports identify, to both tenant and landlord, damages, lack of maintenance, uncleanliness etc. for which, at times, the assessor deems the tenant to be responsible. From the report, the landlord and/or tenant (NOT ROLFE EAST) may choose to make a proposal in relation to deductions from the tenancy to cover works identified. If the parties disagree, the Government-backed TDS may be asked to adjudicate upon any dispute created by either landlord or tenant (again NOT ROLFE EAST). Nobody can be ‘scammed’ as there is a clear process followed. Throughout this/these process/processes, Rolfe East act only as conduit between landlord and tenant. 3) Your tenancy DID NOT END with ANY DISPUTE and your deposit was RETURNED IN FULL as recorded at the TDS. Your independent check-out highlighted (we have counted at least 25) items that the assessor considered to be the tenants’ responsibility. Your landlord asked us to share a quote for flooring (independent contractors stated YOUR DAMAGE could not be ‘patch-repaired’). This quote was, indeed, in excess of £3000. However, at no point did the landlord ask, or instruct us to request, that you pay this in full. Some would consider this very reasonable on their part. The landlord trusted you would make a reasonable contribution to the items identified as your responsibility. However, ultimately, they chose to set this aside based upon your exhibited behaviour at the time. 4) You go on to ‘complain by proxy’ on behalf of the recently departed tenants, whom you seem to have some form of connection with. TO BE CLEAR, the current tenants have been allowed to relinquish their contractual tenancy obligations and leave the property early without penalty, by choice of the landlord, who had no obligation to do so. There is no dispute with these tenants, but they still have the right to take use the TDS if they are not happy in any way. Posting a review of a matter when you are not directly involved is ill-considered and, moreover, inaccurate again. You fail to understand that you are reviewing a company that plays NO PART (other than relaying information). Naturally, as professional, independent and long standing West London ARLA/NAEA Licensed agents, we would appreciate you reconsidering this review and the incorrect statements therein. The use of ‘SCAM’ when referring to an independent, legally framed process (of which ROLFE EAST have no part other than conduit) is clearly designed to cause us reputational damage which we cannot and will not accept. We hold your contact details on file and hope you will reflect upon reasonably and rationally.

GoogleAltogether a great experience with Ranj and Richard. Having dealt with lots of Letting Agents recently and previously, Ranj and Richard are certainly a cut above. In addition to being helpful and efficient, they kept us regularly informed and genuinely seemed to want to help find a flat for my sons. I have recommended them highly locally and would certainly welcome dealing with them in the future. Thank you both for making this stressful process much more bearable.

Hi Himanshu. At Rolfe East we always take any complaint very seriously. Our professionalism is very important to us, so when we saw your review, an immediate investigation took place. We spoke to the negotiator who scheduled the appointment with you, and he confirmed he was at the property from 4.15pm to show another applicant. Your appointment was booked in for 4.45pm which we can see you confirmed via our system, and the negotiator waited 20 mins for your arrival, before he had to move on to his next appointment. We understand you phoned at 5.15pm to find out where the agent was. We can only assume you just missed each other. We would be happy to rearrange another viewing for you.

GoogleI admire the professionalism of Rolfe East, they were very efficient in keeping the sale rolling forward despite the ineptitude of others at times. Personally I found the whole experience enjoyable and at times humorous! I also think that given the amount of time involved from listening onwards, attention to detail and desire to drive the sale to a conclusion that it was very good value for money. I called them 10 times to enquire about a property for rent and they asked for my information each time to call me back, but they never did!! They have only one agent who deals with rent enquires!!
