My family, booked time off and flew from London to view a rental property in Shotley Bridge with an appointment booked with these agents for this morning. Having arrived yesterday they phoned the agent to confirm the appointment only to be told that the agents had already accepted another client for rental and taken a deposit. Reed’s Rains didn’t communicate this to my family prior to them leaving London - indeed no effort was made to contact them - no answerphone message - nothing. As a result the family have incurred the cost of flights and accommodation in addition to the disappointment. These agents have made no offer to compensate my family and fobbed them off with a “sorry” I therefore suggest that if you are either a buyer or a seller, that you spread this experience to others as an example of Reed’s Raine’s standards in dealing with clients whether they are buyers or sellers. You may also wish to further consider whether to use them or not! Addendum Having had a response as seen here from Reed Rains, I responded giving my telephone number a week ago, and I am still waiting! It’s the same issue as the original complaint - lack of communication, no call, no answer phone message. Their consistent poor performance should be a worry to any potential customer! Be advised.

Initially we have plenty of viewings, things quietened over winter so we took if off the market. We re marketed with a price reduction in spring and quickly had an offer.RR helped arrange a conveyancer: perhaps not our best decision.RR were calm in a crisis when completion approached and the very long chain was getting fraught.
