Absolutely ridiculous experience... booked a viewing in welwyn garden city and was told 15 min before the appointment that the property was let by another agency.. this would have also been fine if they had informed me themselves instead of me having to call them while I'm pretty much right outside the property..I was also informed through someone else rather than the person who organised the viewing... considering it also took 3 hours to get there and a considerable train fare cost... Very unhelpful in terms of customer service as well .. pretty much tried to get out of a phone call as soon as possible rather than take the time to speak to a prospective tenant.. they also don't seem to have the basic facilities of email confirmation of appointment with details of the property eg. Postcode,number of house etc and time of appointment.

We bought our house through Raine and Co three years ago and had a positive experience with the team at the time. Through loyalty we decided to list our property with the company again. The first warning sign should have been that both our original contacts had left the business but we continued and listed. We listed at the recommended valuation, which we felt was high but the agent had confidence we would be able to sell. Two months later we had several viewings but no offers. Our agent then changed and the new agent told us the reason he thought we hadn’t had a sale was that our valuation was high. We explained where this value had come from. Embarrassing. In all the experience was full of basic errors and a lack of communication. Several viewings didn’t happen. Our final viewing we left the property to give more room for distancing etc. The viewer didn’t show to the booking and the agent left the door wide open at the back of our house and didn’t call to tell us the viewing had ended. The agents were quick to take no for an answer and showed very little urgency in getting a sale. Our error was accepting the high valuation only for the agents to quickly tell us we need to reduce the price. It was almost as if the team inflated the initial valuation to win the listing. It also seemed that the second agent hadn’t been given a mobile phone so feedback for viewings and warnings that viewings had been canceled wasn’t possible unless the agent was in the office. It all felt very amateur. The only positive part was the listing photos which were very high quality. The most efficient communication was when we gave notice to end our agreement. We were quickly reminded that if any of the viewers bought from another agent in a set time then we would be liable to pay Raine & Co a commission. Avoid.

As a first time buyer I was really apprehensive about the whole process, you always hear horror stories when it comes to buying a property, but in all honesty the staff at Raine and Co squashed all of that! In one word “Amazing”! If you are purchasing or selling I would definitely recommend them! The team are so professional, friendly and polite! They helped me through each step of the way and constantly kept me informed. I had the pleasure of working with Alex and Dimitrov. Alex was the sales agent and has great communication skills and helped me land the sale! He was polite, friendly and very well informed! Dimitrov was my Sales Progressor, and honestly I couldn’t thank him enough! He did so much chasing and work, he kept me informed each step off the way and provided so much advice! Absolutely a stand-up guy! Couldn’t be happier with the support, guidance and help I received from them!!!

Fantastic service by Lynn at Raine and Co

My husband and I went through a long, complicated process of moving last year, and if it wasn’t for Lynns support throughout the 6 months we probably would have pulled out. I recently completed the sale and purchase of my 3 bed house , downsizing to a 2 bed. Raine and Co were the agents for the sale (the most crucial part of the chain). I cannot express how satisfied I am with the team at Raine and Co Hatfield. Firstly, Michael had been to value my house several times since 2012 and each time gave me a though rough appraisal of the property without making me feel pressurised to sell the house. His confident, professionalism and transparent, informative discussion about the market on each occasion really made him stand out in comparison to some of the other agents who walked through the door. I felt that with Raine and Co I'd be in really experienced hands and I was. Sam, who is a young member of the team, was my main contact and the person doing most of the viewings on my property. The thing about Sam is he is so enthusiastic, he has energy and drive but is completely free of arrogance. He ALWAYS called me back as many times as I needed him to. To be honest I felt as though I was the only client the office had on their books even though they are the agent with the largest footprint in Hatfield. Sam is also reflective and always open to suggestions and learning about different ways of doing things so when things became tricky at the end with delays from the various lenders and solicitors he listened to my suggestions and tried really hard to progress the sale. He'll do well at anything he decides to do. The last person I'd like to rate is the absolutely outstanding Magdalena Lora. Magda is the sales progressor, she is the kind of employee that is every company's dream. She is so outstandingly efficient it is actually breathtaking (this coming from a person with little patience). She would email and call to update me about any little detail knowing that I was hanging on for even the slightest tidbit of information. She was so much on top of what was going on with all parties on all sides that I learnt how far you could go in sales progression and when she went on holiday the week before the sale I was able to share with Sam what she had been doing and he then took on the tips (which he admitted not normally doing). Magdalena is a real star. She is worth every penny and I hope she ends up in management, companies need people like her in charge. THANK YOU Raine and Co. I'm now enjoying a peaceful, happy life in my new home. The process was solo stressful in general and you made it a thousand times easier and really looked after me.
