GoogleOur experience has been less than satisfactory. We felt pressured to accept a low offer and once our property was sold, it felt very much like the agent was working for our buyer and not us. Our sale and purchase has not been easy and whilst we appreciated the regular communication it often felt rude and accusatory. There was also unauthorised requests to both us and our purchasing agent to drop prices. It all felt very odd and I would not recommend Putterills.

We would not usually discuss any clients private transactional decisions on a public forum, but feel that we do need to defend ourselves on one point.
Regarding ‘unauthorized requests’ concerning price drops, we had already responded to you at the time , and explained the situation.
However, to clarify again, we confirmed on email that these suggestions did NOT originate from Putterills.
We were informed that a financial incentive had been offered due to the delayed completion , and potential additional costs.
At this juncture we presented the suggestion to you regarding your own buyers .
You decided against this, therefore we took your instruction and was never discussed again.
Thank you for acknowledging the excellent communication from us.
We fully understand that selling and buying property can be a very stressful time.
We hope that you appreciate now that we have always acted in your best interests .

GoogleThe team at Putterills probably won’t realise that I am a fellow agent who runs Leysbrook in Letchworth, but I only have very positive things to say about the service I received from Putterills in Welwyn Garden City.
From the viewing, which was conducted very professionally, through to the constant support and updates from Abigail Rawling, the service has been excellent from start to finish.
My only small comment, and certainly not something that warrants losing a star, would be to reconsider charging buyers and sellers for AML checks 😉

GoogleI engaged Putterills of Welwyn Garden City to market and sell my detached period property in Lemsford, Hertfordshire. Friendly, professional, communicative, available....a good choice.
I was extremely satisfied with Conor's approach to marketing, the prompt viewings, pragmatic realism and securing a purchaser...especially as this was not a standard house and it took more time and engagement to sell.
The purchase chain was exceptionally well followed through to exchange and completion led by Abigail. The chain was pretty long and with some issues at the lower end and it took some time to get over the line, but I was impressed with the way Abigail calmly communicated and maintained the momentum and pressure where required to get the deal closed out end to end.

GoogleI can’t speak highly enough of Putterills. We bought a house from them in 2019 and they made it a breeze. We then sold that house with them in 2025 and despite a very tough market they worked so hard- initially finding us an asking price buyer before we even went live with listing, and then several months later when the chain collapsed they found us a new one. Abigail worked tirelessly to progress the sale, negotiate various issues and keep us up to date with everything, chasing solicitors on our behalf and ensuring we moved before our school deadline. I would not hesitate to use them again as they are the best estate agents I have come across.
