GoogleUnfortunately, I’ve had to update my review due to ongoing issues that have significantly overshadowed the positives. While the location is great, the interiors are well-designed, and the internet speed is unmatched, the negative aspects are hard to ignore. The building was advertised as environmentally friendly and energy-efficient, yet many residents, including myself, have seen shockingly high utility bills, well above the Glasgow average. Additionally, while shared social spaces are a nice feature, they’re almost always unavailable due to high demand, making them impractical for most residents. Overall, despite some positives, the persistent issues, especially the unexpectedly high utility costs, make living here frustrating. Until these are properly addressed, I can’t recommend it.

GoogleGreat helpful staff and very lovely building! Easy referencing process too! Vasilli who showed me around and helped me was great too! After almost a year here now, my views in the place has largely stayed the same. The ringing noice has been fixed and not an issue anymore. The issues for me with the bills has been sorted ish. They started to finally come monthly via Swtich2 and not longer getting a monster bill every three months. The parcel room is a mess tho and delivery company’s don’t know how to use/ can’t be bothered to use the system properly. All these small things made it lose one star. But would recommend it tho, good place to live, either long or short term.

They were excellent at getting viewings through the door and providing a very knowledgeable and proficient service. Stuart is an absolute joy to work with, and a fantastic leader to his team, providing a fantastic end to end service. He and his team, especially Lucy, worked tirelessly to get our sale over the line for our asking price and provided really good insight and advice throughout.

GoogleUpdated review 11/2024: We were, as noted below, hugely impressed by Platform when we arrived. We remain particularly pleased with the attitudes of the residential team, the quality of the amenities and the size of the apartment, but Platform has proven unable to properly manage the basics of an apartment block as far as we are concerned. It was projected in our viewing that we would be charged approx. £60.00/month in energy usage. We accounted for our WFH and other factors that may push it slightly higher and were happy to proceed on that. Platform have charged us between £180.00 and £250.00 per month in electricity alone. When I disputed this, I was met with empathetic and understanding attitudes from Duncan, the building manager, and felt he would do everything he could to get this corrected as it was unreasonably high. We requested a meter engineer and after several months passed, we were told that the engineer did allegedly arrive and tested several other flats but not ours, and that we should take this up with the energy company when a formal bill is issued. Now, having been issued a £1700.00 bill thus far for 2024 when our EPC rating as written on the wall projects £2300.00 over 3 years, we have learned that Platform is effectively the energy company. Despite what the tenancy agreement implies, you do not pay the energy company directly and have no say in your supplier. The company Platform have chosen for this (Switch2) is not a regulated energy supplier and are not held to OFGEM standards. If you go with Platform as an effective hotel for long stays as a student, I'm sure it will be fine provided you have plenty of funds. If you are looking at this as a sustainable renting option, I must advise you to consider your choice extremely carefully. Original review: 02/2024 Had a great viewing today, super excited to progress with this and hopefully move in soon, and was incredibly impressed with James who handled our viewing. He was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, had clear answers for everything we asked and showed us several places, even with our requests to double back a few times, dragging out the viewing. We were very impressed with the building, spacious rooms, competitive pricing for most apartments, excellent amenities. Some were a bit extremely priced with minor differences, but it's a brutal renter market right now and it's understandable. - Additional note: James, as mentioned in the above note, was let go shortly after this was posted.

GoogleMy experience with the platform so far, after almost a year, has been quite bad. My first electricity bill was almost 600 pounds, then they told me the second one would be lower, but it came to almost 400 pounds in the summer. Now, of all the extra money I paid on the first bill, they told me they would discount it from the last one, but that hasn’t happened. In total, after almost a year here, the electricity bill is now almost 1500 pounds, when the average is 769.80 pounds per year in Glasgow. No one is offering solutions; it’s been almost a year with this problem, and I’m not the only neighbor facing this. I don’t recommend moving here to live.

Googlewe have recently bought our first home with the help of Platform Property. Our viewing was carried out by Stuart and was the most relaxed and client-centred viewing we have ever had. Then following the acceptance of our offer Lucy took the reins and what could have been a very stressful process was made so much easier thanks to Lucy.
