GoogleI cannot thank Stace and the entire Pinewood team enough for their support throughout the sale of my parents’ house. The professionalism, teamwork, and consistency shown by everyone at Pinewood ensured a successful outcome. We were genuinely impressed by the level of care, communication, and dedication demonstrated throughout the entire process. A special mention must go to Christina Waddoups, her follow‑up on all aspects was excellent, her attention to detail was outstanding, and her communication made a real difference. GoogleI’ve been with Pinewood Properties for a long tenancy, and while the accounts team, particularly Jacob, have consistently been excellent and responsive, sadly that’s where the good experience ends. The maintenance side is extremely slow to act or communicate. I spent over a year with a spare fridge sitting in my living room despite repeated requests for it to be removed. Even worse, I had rats in the loft for two years, it took ages to get anyone out, and I had to keep chasing to get follow-up visits arranged. When my tenancy ended, the deposit process was disappointing. Initially, they tried to deduct £450, but after I sent clear evidence about the state of the property when I moved in (dirty, dusty, and water-stained furniture), this was reduced to £163. It took far too long to resolve, and I really feel for tenants who don’t have the time to go through the dispute process and just pay without questioning it. Communication overall felt evasive, emails would arrive late in the day, and there were instances of cost reductions being offered without landlord approval, only to be retracted later. Unfortunately, this made for a really stressful and unpleasant end to what had been a long tenancy.

Thank you for your feedback. We’re pleased to hear that you found our accounts team helpful and responsive during your tenancy. We are, however, disappointed that your overall experience did not reflect the standard of service we aim to provide, and we would like to clarify a few points for accuracy. Regarding the deposit, the check-out process was carried out in line with standard procedure. Initial proposed deductions were based on contractor quotes for items identified as tenant responsibility. As is often the case, this became a negotiation process between all parties. Communication did take longer than usual, as we were required to liaise back and forth between yourself and the landlord, including obtaining revised quotes based on what was agreed. The final agreed deduction of £163 was mutually accepted by both parties. In relation to the pest issue, this was reported on two occasions during the tenancy. On the most recent report, a contractor was instructed the same day, attended promptly, and on follow-up found no evidence of rats, advising instead that the noise may have been caused by birds in the roof space. With regards to the fridge, we acknowledge that this matter was not resolved as promptly as it should have been, and we apologise for the inconvenience caused. Ultimately, permission was granted by the landlord for you to remove the appliance, subject to a replacement remaining at the property. We understand that the end of a tenancy can sometimes feel stressful, particularly where multiple parties are involved, and we regret that this was your experience. Your feedback has been noted and will be used to improve our service moving forward. We wish you all the best in your new home.

GoogleWhat could have been a very difficult sale of my late mother's house was made so easy, and even a pleasure, by the staff of Pinewood Properties in Clowne, Nottinghamshire. All appointments were handled professionally and without fuss, and the sale was completed more quickly than we would have feared. Altogether, I have no hesitation in recommending this branch of Pinewood Properties.

GoogleI viewed a property that is being sold, and also currently let, by Pinewood. The images in the photo were old and not an accurate reflection of the property in question. The property was severely run down and in neglect whereas the photos showed a freshly redecorated property. The disparity was so stark that I worry it constitutes an active effort to misrepresent the property. Also, the agents were unable to answer questions about the tenancy and how the sale of the property interacts with incoming legislation. Knowledge which should forthcoming given that it is central to their role as both both the selling and letting agents of the property.

Some of the properties we market are currently tenanted, and in these situations it is not always possible to update the marketing photographs while the property is occupied. As a result, the images used may be from a previous marketing period when the property was vacant and presented differently. Where this is the case, the marketing does indicate that the property is currently tenanted. With a little imagination, many buyers are able to see the potential for the property to be brought back to a similar standard once works are carried out. If you felt the property required updating or improvements, you are always welcome to submit an offer that reflects the condition you believe it to be in. With regards to the information you were seeking about the tenancy and upcoming legislation, it is not entirely clear which specific details you required. Some information is often publicly available online, and our colleague conducting the viewing would also have been happy to try and obtain any additional details had these questions been raised during the appointment. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to ensure viewers have the opportunity to make fully informed decisions when considering a property.
