It is not the poor professional decisions (like sending back the same plumber again and again, after it is clear that he does not able to solve the problem, which happened more than once), but the ignorant, heartless, sometimes unethical treatment of tenants is the worst. And no, it is not just some bad employees, it is company culture. Do you think they said sorry after their failures any time in the last 5 years? I know that agencies are profit-oriented companies, which represent not the tenants but the interest of the landlords, but still, leadership can make difference. It is question of attitude, question of human quality. In the short time my property was marketed by yourselves I had a handful of possible buyers, 1 wasn’t in a position to buy, another only wanted a property on 2 levels (mine is clearly on 3) and another wanted freehold and not leasehold (mine is leasehold). Considering we are in a pandemic and are supposed to be minimising contact with others, this was clearly a waste of everyone’s time. I was contacted on multiple occasions asking if I wanted to reduce the price even though it was said at the beginning that the price it went up for was the price I wanted and no less. I have since decided to rent out my property as my moving date is fast approaching. I have gone with another company who managed to rent it within a day before the board even had chance to go up! I wouldn’t use Pinewood again and would definitely not recommend to anyone else.

I could not be happier with the service that Tom Alberts and the staff have provided. Text message reminders about my evaluation appointment, at the evaluation Tom Alberts came prepare having researched the local housing market and properties, provided concise details of the full range of products, leaving me with a fully detailed pack to consider. No long winded unnecessary presentations or conversations. I have since had regular phone contact from Tom giving me updates and checking in, also providing advice when needed. The staff who answer the phone when Tom is not available are very helpful, friendly and prompt in their actions. Our agent was amazing until we paid deposit etc then became near impossible to get anything, still not heard back about the itinerary 3 months later. Got our signed tenancy agreement a month after moving in and only after they'd tried to have me pay the deposit twice and after I called to chase it up. My agent had apparently left pinewood and no one had picked up her work. Great initially, not so great once we moved in and they play blame games instead of taking responsibility which came across as unprofessional.

I was recently attempting to purchase a property with Pinewood and I was in close contact with Abbie Asquith. Abbie was amazing. Although the sale didn’t complete because the property was taken off the market by the seller (so through no fault of Abbie), I can not praise her enough. She kept me up to date, she was friendly, efficient, reassuring and she seemed to have all the time in the world for me. I genuinely felt as though she wanted me to buy this property as much as I did! When the house was taken off the market she still remained in contact with me and offered other similar properties.
