GoogleMany thanks to the team at Nicol and Co. Selling a house at any time can be met with challenges but during a pandemic? It’s been a journey! I must mention those that have held our hand during our sale. Robin McKenzie was absolutely superb in conducting the valuation of our home. In all ways, extremely professional and able to see what we saw when we bought the house 8 and a half years ago. There was no question we’d use Nicol and Co. This was cemented by Dan Westwood who had a family in mind for our home. He sold the house before going on the market and less than 5 days after agreeing to proceed! Evie Bennett, who was by our side for many months progressing the sale through the pandemic was extremely kind, patient and understanding. She relentlessly and tirelessly communicated on our behalf, even when we were at times, demanding and exacting through a stressful and drawn out sale due to the pandemic. I can’t thank the team enough for all they did and special thanks to Evie who dealt with our sale with warmth, humour and patience.

You are totally amazing ... found me the right house and then worked with me through the most painful 4 month process .. not once did any of you lose your tempers or your optimism that it would all work out and that we would eventually be able to move ... I have to say I miss the multiple daily phone calls and emails from your team ... A special thank you though to Odette ....

GoogleUntil now I've always found estate agents to be pretty much the same, lots of optimistic promises while pitching for the business, then pretty indifferent performance once I was hooked in. Nicol and Co are different, that initial bright start stayed right the way through the process, from contracting, to preparing the sales collateral, to viewings, to managing the buyers' offers and to sale progression. The whole team were great, but I'll specifically name check Tom for getting us onto the market so effectively in difficult times just after peak-covid, and Leanne for coordinating and driving the sale through to completion so effectively when, to be candid, solicitors sometimes seemed to have no sense of urgency or inclination to communicate at all. I've ticked "Good Value", while Nicol and Co probably aren't the cheapest estate agent in Worcester the quality of the service more than compensates, and why would I risk skimping on a budget estate agent when selling what is probably my most valuable asset?

GoogleWe received a valuation from Nicol & Co which was £125k less than an alternative agent. We personally felt they're far too focused on how accurate they were at achieving a sell price, rather than how much they would help us achieve the very best sell price. Admittedly we have a slightly unique house, but we decided to sell it ourselves, and did so over 1 weekend and were significantly better off for it. We have passed our comments directly to Nicol about this. There were lots of follow up phone calls, the office appears very efficient / pro-active.

GoogleThanks to Leanne and the team for their hard work and diligence, through a challenging set of circumstances. Even when things weren't going to plan (through no fault of theirs) they remained optimistic, focused and professional, maintaining contact to keep me updated on progress. We got there in the end, and I would definitely recommend Nicol & Co.

GoogleMy wife and I asked several local estate agents to value our house, including Nicol & Co. We chose Nicol & Co. because we sensed a higher level of motivation and friendliness compared to the other companies. They valued our house accurately, achieving the full asking price. The transaction was then handled by one of their sales progressors, (Jessica). Our transaction turned into a nightmare because our buyer used probably the best known cut-price online estate agents, who in due course appointed the worst imaginable solicitors. Their solicitors did not even acknowledge multiple communications from Jessica (or our solicitor), let alone action them! Jessica provided regular updates to us and to the other parties involved in the transaction. When it became apparent that the transaction was in grave danger of collapsing, Jessica escalated the matter to her sales manager (Coralie Walrond) Coral made an incredible effort to keep the transaction alive. She spent hours every day chasing the solicitors that were causing all the problems. During this period, she kept us updated every day by both phone and email. She also liaised closely with the other parties, keeping them onboard. If it were not for her determination and considerable experience we have no doubt that it would have collapsed. Eventually this paid off and the transaction was successfully completed. My wife and I give Nicol & Co. our strongest possible recommendation. They always answered their phone promptly and responded to our emails. They demonstrated incredible determination and competence to achieve a successful outcome. They also stood out for their friendly and supportive attitude throughout. We appointed them rather than another local agent primarily because we sensed a higher degree of motivation and friendliness. When the going got tough, our assessment proved to be accurate. This experience has also demonstrated the risks associated with instructing an online cut, price estate agent, and vindicates our decision to appoint Nicol & Co.
