GoogleCharlotte is very excellent. She help us arrange maintenance very quickly, so our problems always get solved immediately., which makes our life easier. I really appreciate her help and support. It is really nice to rent an apartment like this.

GoogleEmma and team were fantastic in helping with the sale of my flat. It had previously been listed with a different non-local agent who had the property for a number of months without success. We were keen to sell quickly and Emma was able to help us find a buyer (obtaining multiple offers and moving to a best and final) at a good price and above asking within two weeks of listing with Mountgrange. Overall the experience was super professional, everything went smoothly and the whole team really went a love and beyond. Special thanks to Razi who was also a fantastic help in the process. I would definitely recommend using Mountgrange.

GoogleAvoid. They take no interest in either their tenants or landlords. Waited weeks for any information or paperwork to be given to us. Didn't receive a single thing about the Check-out inventory and deposit for 3 weeks until we had to alert them, and our landlord's new tenants didn't receive their check-in inventory either, had to phone and email many times. They are disorganised, dismissive and unhelpful. Be prepared to be contacting them a lot and hear little back. They won't reach out, even if they need to give you information.

GoogleDo not rent with Mountgrange no matter how nice you think the property is. In a decade of renting in London I’ve never experienced such awful service as a tenant. The managing agents treated the smallest requests (eg broken bathroom fan/broken door bell/broken window) as the biggest inconvenience and took months and countless emails of chasing to fix problems. The boiler (which was located in the main bedroom) was fitted without the flu sealed. This was flagged when the carbon monoxide detector went off in the middle of the night and a British Gas engineer came round. He told us to leave the flat until it was fixed or risk dying from a leak. We had a serious mould problem caused by a lack of a window in the bathroom, along with a broken extractor fan from when we moved in, and incorrect paint used for a wet room. Mountgrange took over half a year (and lots of chasing, 27 emails) to begrudgingly fix this. They sent round the same handyman three times to ‘survey’ the problem during the lockdown, and decide if it needed any work, he said yes every time and said he didn't know why they were putting off the issue. He pointed out that the walls had initially been covered in the incorrect paint. It seems Mountgrange have a habit of using shoddy workmen (noted in other google reviews). Mountgrange said they wouldn’t fix mould damage caused by a lack of extractor fan (bathroom seals) and told us to clean it, and then sent us a youtube video with cleaning instructions. They then said if it was still there when we moved out we would be liable. The ceiling lights fell out over the bath because they had been fitted incorrectly. The director of the company told us to “shove” them back in, which was tricky considering a part of the ceiling fixture was missing. Rent was increased during the pandemic, despite rents in London dropping, and they evicted us (as the landlord's had decided to sell) by just posting an eviction notice in our door. There was no cover letter / explanation / email or call. They made several deductions from the deposit for items such as redecoration - DPS ruled against much of this and awarded us that money back. Veronica W was a terrible property manager, always speaking to us in rude and aggressive tone. After leaving the property she told us they would hold on to our deposit for three months, which is against the tenancy deposit scheme (we had to go to the TDS in the end to sort it). Mountgrange act like they are not meant to provide tenants with a service, and instead simply collect rent and have little else to with them. Perhaps this was because our property was at the lower end of their price range at £1600. Myself and my housemate have never experienced such problems with any other estate agents / landlords in 20 years of combined renting. The situation led to a great deal of anxiety and stress. I urge potential renters to avoid. EDIT: Mountgrange replied saying they had tried to contact me 'several times'. This did not happen. They refused to discuss the issues with me when I was a a tenant, and when I tried were rude and dismissive in doing so, so I don't believe they had any intention of talking to me.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Value

GoogleWe worked with many tenancy and lettings agents worldwide and unfortunately most maintain a certain reputation which they so desperately try to uphold. The guys at Mountgrange are however a shining beacon in the sea of lettings agents.. The staff at MG is professional, considerate, kind and not pushy. They maintain a smaller portfolio which however is managed with care and longevity in mind. We appreciated working with them and will conduct all our future real estate and property management through them. Ps. Ask for Bethany. She is available 24/7 and you can rely on her doing her utmost to secure your interests.
