GoogleMonks were the vendors agent. Overall, as the buyer, I was pleased with their service. That staff were always professional, polite and courteous. We viewed at 3 different times, firstly before making the offer and twice after making the offer so family members could see the property. Monks accommodated us in respect of the additional viewings, but had to rearrange the timing of one to suit their diary, this wasn't a problem for us. However, on the day of the move, there was a delay before I could pick up the key, I am not sure why as the funds from my house were available some 2 hours before. When the key was available to me, I phoned ahead and told the office that I was on my way and will be approximately 10 minutes. When I arrived the gentleman I spoke to was not at his desk and the only person in the office was on the telephone. I had to wait for around 20 minutes before I could receive the key. Overall, this added to my removal cost as the company I was using had a waiting time fee. And finally, these delays seem to be indicative of a lack of office staff which had previously manifested itself in the telephone not being answered when I called for various reasons during the sale period.

GoogleFrankly bowled over by this company’s performance having been let down badly by Halls, Monks achieved re-sale of our house within 3 working days of it going onto the market I cannot thanks monks enough. Knowing what I know now this firm should be your first and last choice for Oswestry and surrounding areas This company functions quickly and efficiently in its actions as is clearly well staffed and managed unlike many other agents

GoogleNot a good experience with the rental team from start to finish. There were multiple errors and a complete lack of communication throughout the process. From the moment we put the offer down, I had to chase for almost everything, including the tenancy agreement, which only arrived two days before our move-in date and even had my surname spelled incorrectly (despite having sent copies of our IDs). On move-in day, the property was disgustingly dirty. When I called to ask if a professional clean had been done, the person on the phone abruptly said, “If it’s not in the tenancy agreement, it wasn’t done,” and then hung up on me. A few hours later, Patricia called to apologise for her colleague’s behaviour, but the whole experience felt incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. We ended up having to clean the entire house ourselves while moving in, not exactly how you want to spend your first day. To top it off, a month later I realised our rent payment hadn’t gone through, turns out we’d never even been given the payment details. Yet again, I had to chase them for something that should’ve been handled from the start. Overall, a very frustrating and stressful experience. Definitely wouldn’t use this agency again. Avoid if you want a smooth, stress-free rental process.

GoogleDropped in with my partner to ask about a property for let, advertised in their window. After repeating several times, the property we were interested in, the man told us 'I think thst one has gone' he then shouted to a woman in a back room who just confirmed that the property had gone. Neither of them offered any alternative properties, they both just continued typing on their computers. Neither of them were interested so I apologised for bothering them and we left. Atrocious customer service, very rude and arrogant. Certainly wont be bothering you again. I dont expect a response.
