The thing I love most about MM, in particular Jordan and Claire, is that I have complete peace of mind with anything relating to my property and the tenants occupying it. In turn, this allows me to focus on the other aspects in my life such as family and career aspects. A BIG thank you from thr bottom of my heart!

Mishon Mackay (Hove) have been managing my property for the past 5 years and have given excellent service throughout. One of the things that I most value is that they try to provide a good service to both owners and tenants on the understanding that things will run most smoothly when 'both' are happy.

Mishon Mackay helped us rent out a flat in Seven Dials Brighton for over 10 years. They were very good at finding tenants quickly, dealing with repair issues and providing paperwork for my records.

Great service to the end... not an easy sale & communication & updates along the way were all forthcoming, helpful & professional. Amy was great throughout my sale, smoothing the way as it went.
Thanks for this lovely review Claire, we really do appreciate it when people take the time to let us know how we did. Thanks again!

I've had a very positive experience from the Hove team at Michon Mackay. Took me ages to find an estate agent I felt was right for me. From the start they were friendly, reliable and honest. They didnt feel like a 'sales' people which for me appealed, really nice group of people working with your best interest at heart. I recommend for selling your property.
Thank you Louisa. We really appreciate being described as friendly, reliable and honest and we're glad that you felt comfortable using us when you made your decision to sell. Thank you so much for recommending us.

Beth and Lisa worked very hard to find a buyer and then ensure the transaction went ahead as quickly and smoothly as possible. Attention to detail is often spoken about but rarely delivered. It was great to see this in abundance at Mishon Mackay.
Hi Paula This is such a lovely review and we are very grateful. Both Beth & Lisa work so hard to ensure that their clients receive an excellent service and it's so nice when that is appreciated. Good to see that the transaction went through relatively smoothly. Thanks again Steve Neocleous Mishon Mackay

Beware buyers: This estate agent misleads customers on important legal matters, which cost me considerable time, energy and money. I viewed an apartment with the Seven Dials office of Mishon Mackay (Hove). I asked specifically whether the apartment's hardwood floor (with which the agency advertised the flat) were legally sound in terms of the lease. I stressed that this is important as my partner has strong allergies and I am looking for a place with hard wood flooring. I was aware that more and more flats are being sold with hard wood flooring even though this is not allowed per the lease. The agent claimed that the hard wood floors were all fine in terms of the lease. I consequently made an offer on the place. But once my solicitor got insight into the legal details, it turned out that the lease mandates that all floors need be carpeted. This is stated in a central place in the lease agreement and cannot be missed. Mishon Mackay nevertheless tried to pressure me into buying the flat. According to them, the clause "all floors need be carpeted" does not mean that all floors need be carpeted. But that is of course not true. My solicitor was very clear: the hardwood floors are in direct breach of the lease and need be changed once anyone complains about noise. Mishon Mackay then failed to get retrospective consent from the landlord for the hardwood floors. All they got was a short email saying that the floors are ok as long as no one complains, but that a court would likely decide against the current state of the flat. Mishon Mackay then tried to portray this as a normal thing, stating that they could not have possibly known about the details of the lease. This is both of course untrue as well. Other agencies that I have been dealing with either told me that the floors need be carpeted or looked into the lease details before confirming whether the floors need carpeting or not. I finally decided to pull out of the sale because I never made an offer on a property that is in clear breach of the lease. In the course of this I lost money for a homebuyer report, legal searches, and a mortgage application, let alone my headache over this and wasted time. And all this simply because of the dishonesty of Mishon Mackay that seem to privilege a quick sale over legally sound procedure.

They have been absolutely incompetent since the beginning. Any repairs and maintenance needed during our tenancy had to be communicated multiple times with some matters such as a window that would not close in the middle of the winter, taking 6 months to deal with. We had to keep in contact with the landlord even though they were managing agents so we can make sure that things were communicated properly. When we had viewings in our apartment after the second lockdown the agent was not even wearing a mask even though we had made a big deal about it. Every communication was a dreadful prelonged nightmare with constant delays, miscommunications and always ending up with the cheapest solution possible only for the same problems to arise again as they it was not dealt with professionally.NegativeResponsiveness, Quality, Professionalism, Value
Thank you for providing more information about your experience with Mishon Mackay during your 2.5 year tenancy. Looking back at the property notes I can see that all small maintenance was dealt with promptly and without any real delay, we are of course reliant on landlord approval for works but again I can’t see any delays on the landlords behalf either. The most recent maintenance (the leak) was reported over the Christmas period, this was repaired within 24hrs from reported and the contractor returned after the festive seasons for a more permanent repair. The managing agents and freeholders of the building were involved with the repairs to the window back in 2019, so the time frame and action taken was out of our hands a little. I would like to apologise that you feel you haven’t received the level of service that you would have hoped, but we hope this didn’t affect your tenancy too much. Thank you for your feedback.
