GoogleAVOID at all costs as a landlord. We have used various agents over the years to manage our properties and Michaels are by far the worst we have ever come across. Maria Southgate (lettings manager) was completely unprofessional from start to finish. She lied to me on multiple occasions about important matters (e.g. telling us an EPC had been carried out on our property for me to then find out months later this had never been done). It always took weeks to get a response and months for them to provide repair quotes for damages which meant further damage was caused in the interim. They never carried out routine inspections despite this being in the contract so the tenants ended up smoking (which was a breach of their contract) and damaging all of the carpets in the apartment, something that you'd expect your letting agent to inform you of! The final nail in the coffin was her 'accidently' informing the cleaners to dispose of everything in our apartment after the tenants had vacated which meant they binned all of our possessions (including things like the vacuum cleaner, phone, lamps, rugs, cushions, iron, kitchen equipment and so on). My husband and I had to literally climb into the huge communal bins to retrieve our belongings which is completely unacceptable. I feel completely robbed considering we paid them a large sum of money in management fees over the months when they failed to manage our properties whatsoever. We've now switched to Openrent, I'd recommend you do the same!

GoogleI recommend you think very carefully before you rent from this company. My daughter and I were left in a property with lights not working damp and mould whilst paying £1225 rent.
Micheals over inflate rates by approx £200/month to properties and then fail to provide basic repairs.
I get it, you really like a property you have seen but just be mindful of our experiences and don't end up like we did with rooms we couldn't use and health hazards.

GoogleCalled on Thursday to book viewing, spoke to a man who informed me they can only do it in the morning so I agreed and booked for 9.30.
9.45 and after knocking on the door several times and waiting in the cold we called them to be told they had nothing booked and the property sold last week.
I understand issues may happen with booking ect, however to book a viewing after the house has apparently been sold is absolutely atrocious.
What kind of company books viewings after a property has been sold and leaves people standing in the cold?
Definitely will not be using Michaels again and will take our commerse elsewhere.

GoogleWhat can i say!! Michaels have been amazing from our first email about selling our property, to coming out for a valuation. The photos of our house were lovely, she had an eye for detail and done the simple things like putting the toilet seat down and making sure the pillows were fluffed, which is a big thing for me when I was looking at properties.
They got the right people through the door and not time wasters, viewings could be booked in advance and last minute (and they showed them round) but would also let you know if they couldn't do the viewing and asked if you were available, again a massive plus in an estate agent.
Once they sold the property I got handed over to Jo, who phoned/emailed me with weekly updates about where we were etc this was a massive weight off my mind. Close to completion Jo and Michael were literally amazing, I can't thank them enough for organising exchange and completion, especially during this time. Thank you so very much. You sold my house but I'm now in my home. xxx

GoogleWe had an excellent service from Michaels from start to finish. We had an initial valuation with Reenie who was extremely positive and proactive. We were contacted about a viewing on the same day we listed our property and Conner and Aaron continued to work really hard to book in viewings for us at a time that was suitable for us. In the end we had one viewing and accepted an offer that we were happy with thanks to Conner's negotiations.
Almost immediately after we accepted the offer the country went into lockdown which was not ideal. From this point onward Michael took over the communication with us and he was fantastic.
