Awful company- avoid like the plague. I have had the unfortunate experience of letting and then putting my hose up for sale with Keenans. On the letting side they were constantly pestering- such and such work needs doing when it didn't. Just an excuse to send their own workmen out and charge a fortune. On the selling side - not clue. They just do not respond to messages and completely lax in attitude. I wouldn't give them one star but then I couldn't leave a review. Just terrible.

GoogleWe arrived early for a viewing of a property and as I walked down the gunnel at the back of the house I noticed the back of the house was quite shabby. I decided to open the gate at the front of the property and have a look at the outside of the property. The lawn was covered in pieces of brick and debris and there was rubbish all around the property. The back of the house was in a state and needed painting and it wouldn't have been safe for my child to play there. As I came back out the agent arrived and had the audacity to accuse me of trespassing. If I hadn't looked round the side I wouldn't have seen how bad the property was. The agent continued to be hostile for the rest of the visit and made me and my wife very uncomfortable. I would not rent a property from Keenan's as I would not be happy dealing with ride people.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

My whole experience with Keenans Blackburn was shocking! I was in the process of buying a property and at the start they couldn't do enough for me. Once the offer was in they never returned calls or emails. When I did speak to them they were rude and unprofessional and wouldn't even allow me a second viewing for weeks after I had made the offer. Then Lauren tried bullying me into exchanging contract before survey in and lied and said it may go to sellers family member (solicitor said there was no family member). Then the builders survey came back and the property needed a new roof,chimney and full of damp and Keenans told me to ignore the surveyor! I told them to shove the sale and I have walked away and dodged a bullet!

I called Blackburn branch to make a viewing instead i had someone called Jonathan Berry push me into selling a property with keenans once he found out that I'm selling with your move.So rude absolutely disgusting the way he spoke to me. Instead he starts telling me negative things about your move and that I should look to get keenans inIf i wanted keenans to sell my property i would call them. I simply called to book a viewing for a property on the market?!When asked for his name he pretends the line is breaking up and that he cannot hear me.NOT PROFESSIONAL, POOR SERVICE absolutely DISGUSTING!I’ve heard negative feedback from sellers however this poor service i have witnessed myself.Unlucky Jonathan is unaware the call was recorded when he starts getting rude!I will be making a formal complaint!Avoid Keenans!

GoogleIf I had the ability to give this laughing stock of a firm no stars I would. Unfortunately google reviews likes to be kind and cheer them up with at least one! My offer was accepted as a full and final offer on a house and costs were incurred from getting my mortgage in principle and going forward with the mortgage. Keenan's refused to take the property off of the market after my offer was accepted. They were the first agents I had ever come across who hadn't done this (I should have listened to my gut instinct at this point.) Their excuse was some nonsense about UK law (being a law student I was very aware that the poorly constructed explanation was pulled from thin air) though I have to give them credit here - it did make me smile. My offer was eventually gazumped as people were still allowed and encouraged to forward offers on the house. Keenan's saw no problem with their unethically sharp practices towards myself and I do truly fear for their future clients... Plenty of professional, well practicing and ethical estate agents in Burnley. Shame Keenan's is not on the list of them.NegativeQuality, Professionalism

GoogleSelling your house? Stay clear of Keenan's. After an agreed sale on our house, I had been chasing Keenan's for weeks for a for a response from the buyer. This is normal Keenan's kept telling me. So I've now contacted the buyer directly as it seems Keenan's were incapable. Only to find out they buyer had emailed Keenan's 3 weeks ago to pull out of the sale and Keenan's had 'missed' the email as they put it. This isn't no excuse and left us in a very difficult position having to sell our house again when there is a whole chain of people waiting. Thanks for nothing. No offer of anything in way of fixing this other than them relisting. No thanks, thanks for nothing.NegativeResponsiveness

GoogleAfter the initial sale the whole thing was a complete car crash . The person dealing with our sale was based at Blackburn not Rochdale . She’s been rude very uncooperative from start to finish .she has made our house move very very stressful indeed .we complained and was told she would be taken off our sale . That didn’t happen. We are very disappointed this was not what we were promised by Daryl and I would like to speak to him but that’s proved impossible.NegativeValue

I have logged calls and times and they cannot match their times to my calls.Their stories change from one day to another.Too big to be of any use.They don't reply to emails, they don't reply to calls and sadly are so transparent, even to a 23 year old.

We have recently sold our home of 44 years with Keenan’s. It had previously been marketed by another Agent with no sale. From the first visit Sam inspired confidence in the possibility of a sale and suggested it was marketed at a higher price than previously. Throughout the whole process we were very impressed by Sam , Abbey and the team at Chorley. We loved the promotional ‘walk through’ video and then we waited for the phone to ring....and ring it did. In the first two weeks we had seven viewings and three families who wanted to purchase the property. We were offered the full asking price by a lovely family looking for a new home - and cash buyers. Once the sale was agreed we were contacted weekly by the office and at every stage the staff were always there for us at the end of the phone. We could not have asked for more from our estate agent. If you are thinking of selling or buying a home look no further. Keenan’s is the agent to go for!
