Booked a viewing for an apartment. Received a call on the morning of the viewing confirming the viewing was still going ahead. Travelled over an hour down the property, arrived 5 minutes early. Waited there for 15 minutes and there was no one there from ideal homes. Received no call or email to advise of the person running late. Tried to contact ideal homes multiple times via email and phone, yet still no response. Waited at the McDonald’s around the corner for a further 30 minutes. Never received such poor service from a company ever. To not have the courtesy of calling a customer or failing to answer calls is one issue, but to fail to turn up to a viewing is disgraceful. Our experience with ideal homes was far from ideal. Would advise you to avoid using this company at all costs.

Very Unprofessional and Misleading Experience, Avoid This Agency I had one of the worst experiences with this rental agent and would strongly advise anyone to think twice before dealing with this agency. We went to view a house in Hayes and confirmed that we were very interested. We clearly told the agent that we were ready to move and he said “okay, since there was some minor issues needed fixing a broken window and fridge which he said will take one day and will be fixed we agreed an waited The next day, I texted him for an update, no reply. I called him, and he said he would update me the next day, again, no call and no message. After two more days, I texted him again, still no response. I then called him directly; he picked up and said he will call me back in 5 minutes. Guess what? No call back at all. Later, I found the agency number on the Ideal Home website and called again. The same agent answered and suddenly said the landlord is confused about whether he wants to rent or sell the property. If that was the case, why were we kept waiting for so many days with no clear answer? I clearly told him not to keep us hanging and that we would look for another property if it wasn’t confirmed. He again promised to speak to the landlord and update us. He then sent a message saying the landlord would confirm on Monday and Tuesday . Monday and Tuesday passed, no update. No call, no message, no explanation. This is extremely unprofessional, irresponsible, and disrespectful. Renting a home is a serious matter, and people plan their lives around these decisions. This agency clearly does not value clients’ time or trust. They can easily put you in a situation where you end up without a house at the last minute because of their poor communication and false promises. If you are looking for a reliable and honest rental experience, please never ever deal with this agency. Based on my experience, they cannot be trusted and have no sense of professionalism. Very disappointing experience. Avoid at all costs.

I received an excellent service from Ideal Homes. Tean was amazing and it was reassuring to be dealing with a local estate agent that really knows the area. They had buyers lined up ready to view our property in no time. The presentation and photography was fantastic. I highly recommend Ideal Homes.

If you’re looking for a place around the Rame Peninsula, Torpoint/Saltash area there is only one Estate Agency, Ideal. Then there is only one MI5 level agent, Tean Nobes…. What she doesn’t know about the area and specific pockets isn’t worth knowing. In my search she listened and found exactly what I wanted and some! She did this with an alarming amount of patience and perseverance. I am very grateful to have used Ideal and had Tean find the property.

First encounter dealing with Ideal Homes Estate Agents in Torpoint. I’ve found that first interaction incredibly unprofessional. I made an offer on a property and was informed it might be a while before they contact me as the vender is difficult to liaise with. The next time I logged on to view the properties I’m interested in I see the house is sold STC. No contact was made to me with regard to accepting, declining or increasing my offer. Hopefully I won’t have to deal with this company in the future.

Generally estate agents are those people, along with used car dealers and politicians, that we love to hate, but all the team at Ideal Homes really are an exception to the rule. Over the last 12 months, they have smoothed out the process of buying a property in Cornwall, and in spite of various setbacks, they have helped to achieve a good result, which would have been impossible without their involvement. All estate agents promise to call you when a suitable property comes up....of course they never do....apart from Tean, Katie and Claire at Ideal Homes! They do call you, they do what they promise, they don't mess you about, and nothing is too much trouble. They deserve to do well...whether you are buying or selling ....use them with confidence. Many thanks and Best Wishes. Neville Wadsworth
