GoogleI can't recommend Stuart enough. He was attentive, hard working and thoroughly professional throughout. He's always willing to spend as much time as necessary to explain situations in detail. The price was good and I'm very happy with the sale ... I believe we made the right choice out of the four agents we approached.

GoogleWe worked with Hotblack Desiato to sell our flat in Islington and secured a quick sale at our desired asking price. They were friendly, responsive, professional, had a good understanding of our local market and managed our expectations well rather than trying to hook us with promises they couldn’t deliver against. We would use them again in future.

GoogleAVOID AT ALL COSTS. These ‘agents’ charged my new tenant three months deposit (£7,064 in total) No TDS system was used so currently taking this company to court. If this has happened to you and they do not safe guard into a TDS, A judge can grant you 1-3 times your deposit. Be careful as these cowboys could lose £21,000 if the judge grants my tenant the maximum amount. David has already left as he allegedly transferred deposits to someone else. They’ve now gone silent and are ignoring messages. Feel free to email my name at gmail for the outcome. Atrocious they need training or to be shut down.

GoogleWe were getting quite stressed about moving to London until we got in touch with Ripon Danis and everyone at Hotblack Desiato, Parkway. They were up front about any fees that we may incur and any issues with the property. Any questions (of which we had many ) were answered honestly and as quick as they had the information. We can't thank them enough and would highly recommend to anyone looking for a decent and proper agents.

GoogleRipon has been one of the best real estate agents I have come across! He was honest about the contract and gave a good overview of it (I read it later and nothing came as a surprise), was considerate and helped me move in as soon as possible or as quickly as was up to him on that matter. Hotblack Desiato has kindly accepted my SEPA payments. It is always a bit of a lottery on how much money actually gets on their account but they have kept a very honest track of the balance and paid me back or asked for a few more pounds. Highly recommend the company.

GoogleI strongly advise against using this agency. They have turned whole renting experience into a nightmare. Firstly, the property was very poorly maintained and we had 24 maintenance visits in the first half a year, even though agency knew about the issues and didn't care to sort it out when property was unoccupied. Secondly, their internal communication is very poor- a lot of people were dealing with our property and as a result a lot of things got messed up. Thirdly, it just feels like they don't care. When maintenance people would confirm time of the visit, the agency wouldn't bother to let us know, so we would wait for maintenance staff whole day long. Once some people turned for an inspection and we weren't even informed about it. In winter we lived with a massive black mould stripe in our bedroom for a few month before the agency finally addressed it. At the end of our tenancy we found out that the mould spread to our mattress and bed-frame through the night stand, it was a lot of extra hassle on the moving out date to deal with it. At least we got our deposit back, yay!...

The worst of the worst. A resume: 1. We booked a viewing in a flat. No one came. 2. We managed to view the flat later, and we rented it. 3. We moved in and the flat wasn't clean, had no gas, was full of stuff from previous tenants and the wardrobe door was broken. 4. During one year and half it took 2 months minimum to fix the smallest things (example: broken blind, blocked sink). 5. They've asked to come here on a Saturday for a gas check (with less then 24h notice) and we said it wasn't a good day. They came anyway using their own key and we thought someone was breaking in. 6. We decided to leave the flat and they started the viewings. 7. We made it easy for them to come with people to view the flat while we were on holidays (we had probably more then 20 people coming). 8. We arrived from holidays and we asked them to slow down with the viewings (after several e-mails because they keep loosing and forgetting the information). 9. The viewings continued, always with short notices. 10. They came into our flat in a Saturday morning, WITHOUT ANY NOTICE, using their own key. And they didn't even say sorry. 11. I wrote this review, and it's not enough. The managers don't care, there is no one responsible to talk with. And they can't organise themselves. Everything is forgivable when people are open to learn with their mistakes and accept feedback. This is not something that Hotblack Desiato is interested in.

GoogleStephen and Daniel made the process of renting our new home a quick and happy process. They were both attentive, friendly and encouraging and we would happily use their service again. We rented a 1bed in Islington (plus cat). Fees are very reasonable compared to other estate agents. Email comms not the best, but you can get them on the phone very easily.
