They were very professional, very responsive, and so kind and helpful from start viewing the flat to after we checked out / returning deposit. I would highly recommend them!

GoogleWe were very pleased with the professional and effective service we received from Stuart Sheirs and his team in the sale of our flat in Islington. Stuart marketed it well, responded promptly to queries and kept us informed. There was no 'hard sell' and he was patient and understanding when we did not get the price we wanted initially and took it off the market, returning to him for a successful sale two years later.

GoogleWe have just bought a flat through Hotblack Desiato, and could not be happier with the way they handled our purchase. Stuart Shiers, our agent, was very responsive to calls and emails, and went above and beyond to answer our queries and resolve issues with the seller. He and others at the company were helpful and collaborative when it came to viewings and information regarding the flat. It was not an easy transaction (for reasons outside of Hotblack's control), but Stuart worked extremely hard to help us sort out the problems. We are now the proud owners of a beautiful flat in no small part due to Hotblack Desiato's professionalism and commitment. We are delighted, and can thoroughly recommend them as an estate agency.

GoogleWe instructed Hotblack Desiato (Stuart Shiers) to sell our Grade 2 Listed Canonbury home. It had already been on the market for over 6 months with a well-known national and international agency. Stuart succeeded in finding a buyer at an acceptable price within 6 weeks of being instructed. At all times he was professional, helpful and a pleasure to deal with. He also dealt with the overly aggressive former agents who were unwilling to take my word that the purchaser was not someone who they had introduced. Hotblacks seemed to us to be a traditional agency whose priority was to sell our property at the best obtainable price, rather than offering potential buyers a host of other services, with all the obvious conflicts of interest that involves. I certainly wish we had instructed Stuart when we first placed our home on the market but in the event everything turned out well. I have no hesitation in recommending Hotblacks to other sellers in the areas covered by them.

In our experience Hotblack Desiato are unprofessional and sought to exploit us as tenants. I would avoid letting from this agency at all costs. Our experience is partially detailed below: We leased a property and when we moved it was noted on the condition report that the flat was not cleaned to a professional standard. When we vacate the property we arranged and paid for a professional bond clean. The clean was well above the standard at which the property was handed over to us. The agent asked us to touch up a few issues (dust on skirting boards and staining of toilet bowl) which we had our professional cleaner rectify. It has been nearly one month since we moved out and the agent is now saying that the property was not professionally cleaned and seeking to charge 350 pounds from our bond. They have not provided details of the issues (other than those that were rectified immediately, they have also since leased the property to another party, so there is no way they are actually intending to carry out another "professional clean". They have also failed to release the undisputed bond amount. There are other more minor issues we are having with this agency which i wont bother to detail here. I am writing this review because predatory agent behaviour should not be tolerated.

GoogleSuch a good letting experience after having many bad experiences in London. Ripon was so helpful throughout the process, was always quick to answer any questions we had, and ready with all the information we needed. We experienced some issues on our side during the letting process, but throughout Ripon remained patient and helpful which was very much appreciated. Really a standout company and agent, would absolutely recommend to others!

GoogleWe were able to find our flat with Ripon Danis who is very different from the other real estate agents we met. Knowing I wouldn’t be able to take cars, he was willing to walk with me across different areas in London to see three flats, each about 30 mins apart, no other agent was willing to do so. We also had very tight timeframe between when we signed the lease till when we needed to move in, and the flat itself still needs a lot of work before moving. Ripon was persistent and working diligently in the background and managing between different contractors to make sure everything is ready by the move in date. We are very thankful for the help provided.
