I highly recommend the service we received from Harron Homes, especially from Jeanette Paul and Joel. From the very beginning of our journey, Jeanette was a guiding light, providing us with invaluable support and advice that made the entire process smooth and enjoyable. Her dedication and commitment to our needs were evident, as she took the time to listen to our preferences and ensured that every detail was addressed. We are truly grateful for her assistance, which transformed what could have been a daunting experience into a memorable one. Now, we are happily settled in our stunning new home, which not only boasts exceptional design and quality but is also nestled in an equally beautiful area. The neighborhood is vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect place for us to build our future. Paul also played a significant role in this journey, offering his expertise and insights along the way, which further enhanced our experience with Harron Homes. Together, they made our dream of homeownership a reality, and we cannot thank them enough for their professionalism and dedication.

Homes look very inviting from visiting…
Homes look very inviting from visiting the showroom ,and all the detailed marketing, just take a few steps back and do your own Due Dilligance and dont bother using Harron s Solicitor s as they are not working for your best interest. It is painful sorting out your snags and very time consuming and they are all major snags …. Just be warned !we must remember that a new home is not just a financial transaction, but a major step in anyone’s life. It is emotional and exciting, but moving house can also be stressful. However, it should not be the start of a long chain of dealings with the house builder to correct problems.

Bilsthorpe Chase - HH not quality or luxury!! SHODDY HOMES
Bilsthorpe Chase, PLOT 112PLEASE SEE OUR PHOTOS ON HARRON HOMES - BILSTHORPE CHASE REVIEWS SITE. OH AND GUESS WHAT!? THEY ARE NOT MEMBERS OF THE NEW HOMES OMBUDSMAN (NHOS). WE WONDER WHY THAT IS! UPDATE 23/12/24: Another example of their shoddy workmanship. The utility door step literally fell off this afternoon. It looks like it’s been constructed by incompetent contractors. Please see photo numbers 34-36 on Harron Homes - Bilsthorpe Chase Reviews site to see for yourself. Well done Harron Homes 👏 you must be so proud of your stunning, high quality properties. You’re very lucky it wasn’t our disabled father who was behind us at that time. It could have well been a different story if it would have been him that the step collapsed on! We purchased our house on the 31st October 2024. The main issues we have had are as follows:-• leak under the sink and no jubilee clip. It’s taken three attempts to stop the leak. • the WiFi controller that controls the central heating hasn’t worked from day one. It was never demonstrated how to use the APP. The site manager confirmed when we moved in that he was supposed to go on a training course which never materialised. It’s difficult to obtain technical support at ESI Controls. We are having to use the heating manually which isn’t an ideal situation. Why have modern tech if it’s not fit for purpose and no one on site has a clue how to operate it. • low pressure upstairs. Hardly had any pressure in the system and water barely flowing. It made having a shower or a bath difficult. It took too long to fill. We were told the part had been ordered by the site manager. After 3 weeks of waiting and speaking to Head Office my husband managed to speak to the onsite plumber who remedied the situation. If we hadn’t have spoken to him about it we would have been waiting a further 3-6 weeks. • the tiles in ALL bathrooms are shocking. Grout all over the tiles and not just a small area. Our tiles certainly don’t look very sparkly like they advertise in their show homes. Please feel free to contact us and we will happily send you photographs. • paint all over the door handles and hinges. Some are worse than others.• brown stain on the living room carpets where the contractors haven’t take their shoes off. • sticky labels still on the windows that’s not been removed and scratches on majority of the glass panels. • reported to the site managers the fact that the glass bath shower screen making an horrendous noise and the rubber seal not sitting on the bath. It’s folding under and getting stuck. We were told by Head Office that they wouldn’t be covering it as it’s not classed as a defect/snag. Seriously! We have had no end of issues.. too many to list on here. When we raised all the issues we’ve been experiencing with Head Office they abruptly informed us that their main priority is dealing with customers who have had serious issues with water leaks. Thank you for pointing that out. You really know how to make customers of Harron Homes feel valued. The review is our honest opinion of Harron Homes. Don’t get me wrong their homes are very well thought out, aesthetically pleasing and the location is lovely but the lack of attention to detail, craftsmanship and products are not to a high standard as advertised and marketed. Mr and Mrs D, PLOT 112 BILSTHORPE CHASE I’ve removed the name of the person that I spoke to at Head Office in order for you not to remove my review! Please don’t send a generic email saying we’ve been unable to locate you. We don’t put our full name as we are very private people. You have our plot number. UPDATEI’ve had cleaning contractors come out this morning to clean the tiles and uncovered their shoddy workmanship. We’ve uncovered a cracked tile that they’ve covered with grout to hide it, the tiles are not level in the shower cubicle and the grout is not white but a dirty brown colour. I’ve tried to upload a photo but it doesn’t let you on here. Shame then you could see for yourselves. We wished we would have stayed clear of buying a Harron Home when we saw the sign ‘Horror Homes’ that a customer had placed outside their house.

Genuine review
Pre completion - 10/10. Cannot do enough for you! 6 months post completion - 2/10. Also worth noting, they haven't signed up to quality checks through the new homes ombudsman service, so aren't registered with those. Which means if you have a problem, the ombudsman can't fight your corner. Take from that whatever you wish. I wish I had never bought our Haron Home property, it has been one problem after another, and for our entire 6 months of owning, we have found fault after fault. Not general 'house settling' snags (which are to be expected), but negligence. - Our living room carpet had to be replaced due to workmen damaging this. When I raised this to someone at site, I was told "oh yes, I noticed that and flagged it, did they not sort it?" So they knew about this before we completed, yet decided to not sort it when the house was empty, but in fact sort it once they had our £ at the inconvenience of us, to remove all furniture again. - Our Utility room flooring has been replaced already. Reason being? Haron Homes did not attach our washing machine waste pipe for our integrated washing machine. The flooring was then damaged when the washing machine had to be removed (also by HH) to attach this.- We have had our kitchen wall and ceiling replastered. This is due to shoddy plumbing work in the bathroom, leaking into the kitchen. The independent emergency plumber who visited asked if a 3 year old had done the pipework.- Which brings me on to the bathroom! We have had to have our bathroom wall back to brick to repair the shoddy work. The plumber FROM THE COMPANY HARON HIRE refused to take ownership on the phone to his boss, saying 'absolutely no way this is my work, not a chance I do work like this'.- We had a hole in our roof.- Our heating was connected back to front so the wrong thermostat controlled the wrong part of the house. - I complained a room in our house was 4-5 degrees colder than the rest of the house (it sits at a max of 16 degrees at all times unless the heating is at 22+ everywhere else). I was told 'its because it is above the garage'. What a load of rubbish! An operative from Haron Homes lifted the carpet slightly. THE FLOORBOARD IS NOT BIG ENOUGH FOR THE ROOM! THERE IS A LITERAL HOLE ACROSS THE ENTIRE SIDE OF THE ROOM! No insulation in there to stop the cold air seeping through, no expanding foam. 0 effort to repair the fault. Just a carpet placed on top. I have asked when this will be sorted as it is costing us a fortune in heating in the middle of winter. No reply. And if you try to complain about the above? You get nowhere! I complained in OCTOBER and all I have had, is a ridiculous 'your case worker is working on this'. I complained on Linkedin to the MD, he rang me once to say he was reviewing the file (on the 15th November). Nothing since.Honestly, I am all for 'houses have snags' in fact, none of the above snags were raised by our snagger that we got in (aside from the hole in the roof) - he raised another 117 of them. Minor, cosmetic snags that you can live with and expect of a new build. What I did not ever expect from a house was holes in floors, new bathrooms, new plastering of kitchens and a company who do not seem to give a hoot. I wish I had avoided Haron Homes. It has made buying and living in our what was once thought to be forever home, a horrendous experience filled with "what next" and dread.*Edit to reply to Haron homes* I emailed Natalie 14/12. No reply. 2 tasks for insulation open, for an issue that isn't to do with insulation. Which you've just emailed me to confirm, 20 days after I told you (your operative told you and I sent photos of!) it wasn't an insulation problem, it's a too short floorboard issue. Now you've given me a date 7.5 weeks in advance to sort the issue out. Which had you listened to me 3 weeks ago, could have been sorted by now. I've had a hole in my floor meaning the room is cold 24/7 and affects the rest of upstairs, throughout the entirety of winter. It's not good enough. I spoke to your MD in November, he said he'd get back to me, no reply. I've tried raising a formal complaint, no reply since initial acknowledgement. I wish my review wasn't an honest one, but it is.

Thank you Hannah and Meryl at Bilsthorpe Chase for all their help along the way throughput the moving process. Completion day went smoothly. It was fantastic to receive weekly photos of the house being built. We have a few snags but these are being dealt with and obviously not the fault of the ladies in the sales office. We are thrilled with the new home. Thanks again.

Horror Home! If I could give a zero rating I would!
If I could give a zero rating I would. Abysmal experience of purchasing and owning a home from Harron. House was not ready on day of exchange (site didn't know I had exchanged) snags from pre-move visit had not been addressed and all my possessions had to be stored in a non weather tight garage. A year on the house is in no better state than when I moved in. It appears they use the cheapest of contractors with poor standards of workmanship. Adhering to fire regulations seem to also be optional. Save yourself a headache and buy elsewhere.

Helpful but some bumps to iron out
Really helpful advice at every stage. A few of the internal pictures are of the wrong house when first looking which is less than ideal, but they accommodated visits to the style of property we were interested in. Once reserved some of the links don’t work in the email but paper copies of the next steps document mitigated this. The sales executive was very helpful and more than made up for the technical deficiencies.

Misleading/false marketing
Misleading/false marketing. We visited the site office today expecting to reserve our dream home but when we got there there was no mention of the gifted deposit displayed on their adverts on their own site and right move. The sales manager tried saying it was for a different property but it was literally a banner across the property we looking at and had the plot number in the text. I pointed this out and then she said it was due to part exchange despite the advert saying both options were there. The fact they pivoted so quickly to a different reason shows me the first one was nonsense and as she went on, the 2nd excuse made little sense anyway. The details of the part exchange were different to how it was framed in the initial meeting and I felt as though they expected me to be thankful they offered a fraction of the deposit despite them stating that almost 3x that was on their adverts. Due to them completely ignoring their own deal, we had to walk away after a stressful week lining up the mortgage and sorting out the other elements. The absolute lack of understanding from the manager that having the promotion on their site and the impact on a family by completely ignoring blows my mind.Update - 5/12/24After the above, Harron Homes did agree to the gifted deposit as well as some flooring when I asked if that was possible too. They said that (the flooring) would be subject to the directors approval which I was ok with as the deposit was the main issue. In the following week they asked me if I would take this review down now as I had ‘got what I wanted’ and I said no as that didn’t change what happened. The process moved on with the completion date of 20th December stressed to us several times so I arranged our mortgage offer, paid for removals, instructed the solicitors and started packing. We visited site with a tradesman to measure up for blinds etc. the week after when I called a different dept to chase something up the person I spoke to said ‘I heard the purchase is no longer proceeding, it’s been cancelled.’ It took 3 days for me to get an answer to what happened, my wife and kids were distraught - they had been picking things for the new house & their rooms so this was a real shock. As was being told that the £1,000 I paid to reserve the property didn’t reserve it and the reservation form didn’t reserve it either. They then put the same plot back up for sale at £60,995 more than our ‘reservation’. They then said it was impossible for them to refund my £1,000 back to the credit card I used so eventually received a cheque which me and my bank found odd. So yes, the amended response below that says ‘We have liaised with our team and we are aware that the Sales Director has been in contact with you regarding your review to resolve the matter.’ is true but not in a good way. I called and chased to get hold of them and don’t think they were going to tell me they decided not to proceed until someone mentioned it in passing. I find it unbelievable that they operate in this manner.
