[Update on July 23] DPS gave us almost the whole deposit (amount in dispute) back! Deducted a minor sum for a minor fix. So please be careful about the unfair practises by the agency and fight for the deposit if you think they're adding unnecessary charges/deductions. Please read the whole review to learn about our horrible experience. We are extremely disappointed with the Fraser and Co. Colindale branch! They are trying deduct almost our entire deposit. Despite renewing our lease and accepting a rent increase, several problems were not addressed. Damaged items in the apartment, documented in the move-in inspection report, were never repaired or replaced despite repeated requests. Upon leaving after 1.5 years, we used their recommended cleaners for a deep clean, but were charged extra without receipts, which we reluctantly agreed to. Additionally, we agreed to pay for minor damage repairs. However, they are now trying to unfairly deduct unreasonable charges from our deposit, even for documented pre-existing damage. We have shown them the inspection report, but they are ignoring the evidence. Instead of reasonable repairs for minor damages, they are proposing extensive and unnecessary work throughout the entire apartment. It seems they are attempting to charge us for a complete renovation of an old flat with worn-out furniture and floors. This is unacceptable, and it appears we are not the only tenants who have faced such issues with this agency. I am now forced to raise a dispute with the desposit scheme to force Fraser & Co. to return my deposit!

No No No!!! Good luck! Highly NOT NOT NOT recommended! Very BAD! 1. When checking out, there were a bunch of unreasonable deposit deductions listed. It took 2 months for the deposit to be refunded. Now we are complaining to TDS about some unreasonable deposit deductions. 2. Many things are not repaired from our move-in. Some urgent matters, such as a broken toilet flush, took 2 weeks to be repaired. 3. The property manager Edward often doesn't reply to our emails! It can be said that only 3 replies are received out of 10 emails. This is the worst real estate agency staff I have ever encountered. My friends, the true and unique Fusako! Distant middle school! It's so hot! It's so hot! Mes amis, éloignez-vous de cette agence ! My friends, stay away from this institution. Amici, state lontani da questa agenzia!

The decisions regarding deposit deductions you are referring to are made by the landlord based on a report from an independent clerk who is not affiliated with our agency. Edward has moved onto another office so will not have seen your email but we can see from our side that your emails were replied to promptly by another property manager.

If you need something more complex like gathering documents from a tenancy ahead of a sale, or correcting problems around financial transactions and need humans to work with you - you have been warned: Only a couple of people at Fraser are competent and responsive enough to manage that and you need luck on your side to get the right person. I had to chase like a crazy person to get standard documents out, and whilst doing it, I discovered my building management fees were systematically in arrears as the Fraser team had “forgotten” to pay them. It was not only frustrating but it put my lease in jeopardy as well as delayed my sale. And when I terminated the relationship with them, they overcharged the tenant and then charged me money (plus withheld funds) as they attempted to “correct” the mistake by refunding me instead of the tenant. Fraser are probably understaffed and subject to cost optimisation, and switching to new tech infrastructure that lost them historical documents doesn’t help. If you do consider them as a letting agent, make sure you understand what kind of team will take care of you or you could end up with a lot of frustration, or worse - risking losing your property with fees in arrears. If you’re just looking to rent out a property and leave it ticking along, very easy relationship run mostly with automation but again - you need to watch them so they don’t neglect to pay your building fees, heating and cooling charges and ground rent. *Update - Noting that Fraser in their reply below (after trying to get me to take my review down btw) is blaming a utility company for being in ”disarray” but in fact the heating and cooling charges they neglected to pay and put my account in arrears were from the building management company and on auto-delivered email to Fraser, the same source as bi-annual building management fees. It’s very easy to set up direct debits for all of this (which I did after I fired them). Not even knowing what they are talking about aside - getting defensive like they do in their response and not acknowledging they are at fault…speaks for itself.

As you will know, the bills outstanding related to a period when the utility company sending the invoices were in disarray. We are surprised that you did not make that more clear in your review and these were not building management fees as you state but utility bills. The bills were issued only after the tenants had left for which neither they nor we would have been aware at the time. When you terminated our services in order to sell the property, we had previously agreed fees that were due for the length of the tenancy in place. However, we chose not to charge these considering having had you as a client for a number of years and did this out of respect for the spirit of our relationship. We are sorry that you have decided to reward this gesture of goodwill with a poor review. We wish you all the best.

Complete SCAMMERS and very unprofessional agency. They chase you until you move out and stop responding to your messages after you move out. Trying to rip you off for non-existent “damages” for which they don’t provide proof of expenses. It’s been now been more than 3 months couldn’t get my deposit back! Shame on you . Stay away from this agency!!!

We are sorry that you have felt it necessary to post a review on the site. As you are aware, the check out was carried out by an independent clerk who assessed the considerable damage to the property. You refused to take responsibility for the damage, so the landlord suggested referring it to the DPS which is one of the bodies that legally protects all tenants from being “scammed”. You were reluctant for this process to take place but in the absence of an agreement, the landlord referred it himself. The outcome will be published in due course together with pictures of the damages done to the flat.

I needed a car parking space and so contacted Frasers to see if they have any free. The call was answered quickly. Sammi did a great job of coordinating between the owner, who was based in Singapore, and myself in the UK. With 48 hours I had a space. A very quick turnaround. I will be using them for all my property matters going forward.

By far the best Estate Agent we have ever had. Andrew Assaker is polite, respectful and extremely professional. He went far beyond the call of duty by continually keeping us up to date and negotiating with the seller. He moved things forward as quickly as he could knowing our circumstances and pursued the letting agents to do a professional clean when they had neglected to do so. I would highly recommend Andrew, my only regret is not having him to sell our house, it would have been sold much quicker.
