Very poor service from this estate agent. I rang up about a property and was told someone would get back to me about viewing it. After a week had passed I rang to ask whether they had heard anything, and was told quite rudely that I needed to wait and someone would get in touch (no one ever did). On another occasion my partner and I were booked in to view a property, and the agent decided not to let us know the viewing had been cancelled beforehand! I rang the office to ask if someone was coming but no one answered the phone. It was only because we happened to be passing the office on the way home and went in that we were told what had happened. We will not be contacting this agent again!

I had the displeasure of organising a viewing with Connor from Entwistle Green to buy my first home. This is a very big step for anyone but I was really looking forward to this viewing. During the initial call with Connor, he took my details down (email, telephone number etc) and told me over the phone that the viewing was booked and he would meet with me outside the property. The day comes, I arrive about 10 minutes early to make sure I don’t cause any delays. 5 minutes after the time passed for the viewing, Connor nor anyone from the estate agents has arrived (I figure he could be running late, which is fine life happens). 10 minutes have now passed and I attempted to give the estate agents a call, to which is put a voice message system and to leave my name, number and why I was calling (to which I did). 15 minutes after the initial time for the viewing I give them another call and Connor answers the phone. I asked Connor where he was since he was now 15 minutes late and that it was him who I spoke to about getting the viewing. Connor asked “You and I spoke?” as if to say he has never spoken to me. He then asked me for more information and advised that he could leave right there and then if I’m happy to wait, I said yes as I would’ve liked to view the property. Cut to 5 minutes later (20 minutes late), Connor then calls me back and tells me “I spoke to my manager and we’ll just have to reschedule due to the confirmation email not being sent”. I raised the issues of Connor taking my details down during the initial conversation, how this is their system issue and how I have been heavily inconvenienced due to me being on lunch break at the time of the viewing. Connor said “Oh I’m sorry about that, I wouldn’t like to be in left outside either” in a somewhat dismissive tone but stated that “the manager has said I’ve got to reschedule”. I said that I’m not rescheduling, that this is very poor and I will not be using their services. All Connor could say was “I’m sorry about that”. I ended the call shortly after. I will never be using their services again and will be telling people not to use them due to the sheer lack of poor communication and customer service from them.

Fantastic experience from start to finish! The agents were incredibly helpful and responsive throughout the whole process. My first viewing had been arranged and communicated to both me and the landlady, but unfortunately she wasn’t at the property when Jonny and I arrived. Jonny quickly arranged another appointment, and when that also couldn’t go ahead due to the landlady being away, Erin followed up directly, kept me informed, and arranged another viewing. I wanted to move in within a week, and Erin was incredibly helpful in speeding up my application. Even while she was on leave, she referred me to Michael, who was equally responsive and helpful. Really appreciated the professionalism and support from Jonny, Erin and Michael, they made the whole process smooth and straightforward. I’d definitely recommend their service!

UPDATE: Loses three stars because after you move out of one of their properties after paying rent on time for over two years, they will try and charge you rent until the end of a twelve month stint. Trying to make me pay £525 in rent for a place I don't live in. I find it ridiculous and insulting that after being such a reliable tennant they would then try and chip some more off. In these hard times why is an estate agent (which has to be one of the easiest companies to make money for nothing) trying to claw money off their tennants even after they moved out under the guise of it being until they find a tennant or the term ends. Be better at running your company and find a tennant so you don't lose money. Don't charge the last tennant for it so that you don't have to work as hard to get the big bucks. This is just typical of a greedy company that doesn't care about people's needs or necessities. Disgusting. Would now only recommend if you are staying for full years at a time. Like that is even a thing these days. BELOW IS MY ORIGINAL REVIEW Fantastic service. I enquired online late last night and this morning the call came. By this afternoon I had a place agreed and ready to move into. Can't thank them enough after getting pretty desperate for a place. Olivia was great. A credit to the company. Thanks again
