After looking at older houses we thought let’s consider a new house and Davidsons homes came out best, Becky on the Wellington site was fantastic and went above and beyond always there to answer questions she made the process enjoyable, Becky as a lot of experience and nothing was to much trouble very patient. We love the area with the coffee shop and Sainsbury’s now open, and the open spaces it’s a lovely place to live.5 stars.

I bought a Davidsons 3 bed new home at Wellington Place Market Harborough autumn 2026. Sales lady Beccy was extremely professional and helpful, and after sales snagging people have been great. I expected snagging issues with a new build but they have all been attended too promptly and professionally. Lovely development with lots of open spaces and a good mix of house designs .

Davidson don't build a bad looking plot. Didn't go to look or buy. Nav took me there by accident. Corby wouldn't be a place I would consider moving too. If I were to buy new build. Would be several conditions. 1, buy off drawing. 2, I want to check it each scaffold lift. 3, I snag it regardless of what Nhbc allows, or site manager. Otherwise it wouldn't be brought by me.

Quality houses being built in a distinct style unlike the other house builders out there. The designs are unique and show how new houses and the surrounding areas can be encapsulated into one fantastic place to live. Really looking forward to moving here.

Nice homes & area, let down by quality issues, excessive snags & numerous issues following repair works. The good - I've lived here for 9 months & love the area, the sales team were great & Davidsons have generally undertaken snag works without question. The bad - there are/were far too many easily avoidable issues with the house when we moved in, it felt as though no pre handover inspection was undertaken by a Clark of works, the house was also very dirty & most snag works undertaken have resulted in additional damage to our home by careless contractors. I don't feel that much pride was taken in some elements of the construction. I don't regret buying this home but do feel that standards fall short of the premium Davidsons are going for. List of defects; Blocked toilets - caused by the builders sweeping rubbish down the waste before the toilet was installed, broken tiles, Stanly blades & other detritus was down there. The plumber who unblocked the toilet managed to walk human waste into the carpet & left the manhole covers unsecured. Broken tiles around shower - this was repaired but the tiler who did the work emptied his bucket of grout onto our front path which stained several slabs. Stained slabs - following the above new slabs needed laying but this took several visits as the wrong slabs were used initially, then they replaced the wrong slabs & even when the correct slabs were replaced they weren't put down well and were left loose. Damaged kitchen worktop - the worktop was damaged & poorly repaired before we moved in, it took 8 months for this to be replaced & when they did their plumber didn't reconnect the flexi connector correctly which resulted in a water leak. The water ended up between the two floor surfaces & partially blew the kitchen unit. I raised this with Davidsons immediately afterwards but at the time of writing (some 3 weeks later) no one has yet attended which means the floor under the units & between the two surfaces has been left damp needlessly long which will likely cause further damage which could have been avoided if someone attended immediately after the leak was reported. Kitchen extract - Davidsons installed an extract that was too small, they later fitted a larger replacement but when this was being done one of the workers scratched the worktop, this has since been repaired but required me to book time from work to accommodate. Upstairs floors moving/squeaking - we have excessive floor movement/noise on the landing, WC and two bedrooms, this has yet to be addressed. Missing dry verge roof cap - this was missing when I moved in, Davidsons have since replaced this but it took numerous visitors due to poor organization. Gas leak - the boiler developed a leak shortly after we moved in, this was caused by water being in the gas line. Although this isn't Davidson's fault other neighboring houses also had gas leaks before & after us, I feel Davidsons should have arranged safety inspections of all boilers as soon as the issue was known rather than waiting for leaks to occur as it was a considerable leak and potentially dangerous. Central heating fault - the downstairs heating didn't work when we moved in. It took 2 weeks to resolve this despite cold weather. Loose bath - the bath hadn't been fixed correctly so would drop when filled. The Plumber who came to repair it did a poor job and even attempted to screw the support to the skirting. I ended up fixing it myself. Floor/carpet defects - we had a few floor tiles and sections of carpet that were lifting or poorly fitted, this was addressed without issue. Paint/wall defects - the quality of the painting is generally poor and there were a fair few dents and poor plaster repairs, I've not been happy with the snag work done by Davidsons painters but will just address myself. Rooms not square - I discovered whilst installing furniture that some walls aren't square on any axis which is very disappointing. Masonry - it's generally ok but some external areas the bricks are misaligned. Other homes are suffering from lime leaching.

Horrific house builders, Cutting corners wherever they can to make money. Then when something is out of British standard tolerance they will lie and make things up to get around it. They want your money and that’s it !

Absolutely rubbish. We have had our home for just over 2 years and the bathroom pipes have been installed poorly and incorrectly. This has caused damaged to 3 out of 5 rooms of the house, the bathroom, living room, and my infant child's bedroom. It has also caused the floorboards underneath the laminate to rot away and mould on the wall connected to my child's bedroom, which in turn caused damage to bedroom furniture and caused the skirting board to rot away behind the said piece of furniture. Customer service fobbed me off elsewhere. This caused delay and the leak to get worse. More damage caused becuase they could not be asked to investigate. I had asked davidsons to sort the bathroom issues out within the warranty period, and they still put it down to lack of maintance of sealant - what a joke - the sealant has been maintained, and the leak is from behind the shower unit and behind the bathroom wall tiles - nothing to do with sealant and even if it was, the sealant is maintained well. When davidsons workers came to sort the bathtub out (had to arrange on more than one occasion) during the warranty period, 3 men came to do a 1 man job whilst I was home alone and heavily pregnant with my first child. I felt unsafe, uncomfortable and even asked why 3 of them are here, as they were just chatting away and came into my carpeted house with their dusty, dirty and grimey boots. So now I raised the issue of the leak which should have been picked up on when they were "working" on the bathtub during the warranty period. The workers just chat and bring their mates along, so they were not working hence didn't recognise the issue! My family and I have spent nearly £1,000,000.00 by buying 2 houses with davidsons on different estates, and both estates are crap and cannot get things done right. They are legally negligent as their work is poor and causes damage, fallen pieces of the roof from one home, and incorrectly installed water pipes in my home. Would not recommend.

Dont seem to reply to emails. I contacted Davidsons via their website to try and speak to a sales manager and have heard nothing back. If this is how they respond to inbound enquiries I dread to think what the rest of the service is like. I will be looking at other home builders instead.
