Amazing house!! Built beautifully with very few snagging issues. The team are brilliant and kept us up to date all the way. Very supportive and kind. Although we had a few delays, they gave us plenty of notice and helped us sort out any issues. We love Olivia and Adrian, couldn’t have done this without them! They certainly need a pay rise!

The best decision we ever made!

Having owned our family home for 30 years, we decided to take early retirement and buy a new Dandara home in Potton. We bought our plot off plan, and Jade and Belinda offered support and information throughout - as at the time there was nothing to see for our purchase! We were able to choose the plot that we wanted, Jade gave us regular updates, and even sent photos as the house grew on site.The handing over process went very smoothly, with George and Scott there within minutes to lend a helping hand where needed. Nothing has been too much trouble, we have felt looked after and very much at home in this lovely, well designed quality home. Living on a building site as it develops, all of the workmen without exception, have been courteous and helpful. It has been a very good experience. George you are Mr Dandara! We hope that Dandara is aware of what an excellent team they have working here at Copsewood

Copsewood - PottonI recently bought a beautiful New Build property in the above location. The house has been not only been built to a VERY high standard (I have high standards!), but the whole process was made so smooth and simple. I am a single parent and the help and advice from Jade in the Sales team was beyond beneficial. She kept me informed throughout and organise a beautiful moving in hamper on day of completion. She was also on hand to answer the weird and wonderful questions I had throughout the process without hesitation. She made the process run smoothly assisting with the chain to ensure a smooth completion.George and Scott on site have been marvellous. Not only are they just generally nice gents, they cannot do enough to make sure that myself and the kids are settled and checking in to ensure everything is OK. Anyone who moves here is lucky to have them both on site. I love living here and that is down to the warm welcome that Jade, George and Scott have given us.

We have had a great experience with Bobby, and also Sarah and Chad. Bobby was our initial contact and was really helpful and accommodating to introduce us to the development, always on hand to answer questions and helping us with any queries. Further down the line Sarah and Chad continued our experience. Always keeping in touch and providing us with everything we needed whilst exchanging contracts. They have always been more than happy to accommodate any of our requests such as getting us on site, even getting the site manager to walk us through and show us various different places within the building. We’re looking forward to completing and have had excellent service up to his point.

I have recently bought my 5th Dandara…

I have recently bought my 5th Dandara house, having bought my first aged 21. The most recent house is located at Potton and from the beginning to post completion the experience has been amazing; they just keep getting better and better as a company and even my first house was a great experience all those (25+) years ago!. In terms of the purchase Jade and Belinda were beyond kind, understanding and wonderfully helpful in all aspect of the purchase not helped of course by covid and a move from the Isle of Man. On completion and post Scott and George are the kindest and most lovely people you could wish to have close by when completing a move on your own. George has gone over and above to help me get all snags sorted and between him and the team he has made sure that everything has been stress free and easy to navigate. I can honestly say that Jade, Belinda, Scott and most importantly George make the Dandara brand as great as it is and I would have no hesitation in recommending anyone to purchase one of their properties. Thank you to all and most importantly thank you for all that you have done during what has been a very difficult period.

Shockingly awful workmanship

My elderly disabled parents bought a Dandara home 4 years ago in Cheshunt in hope of hassle free easy living at their time in life. They couldn’t be more wrong. They have had non stop problems from a faulty boiler, several leaks, faulty flushing systems on all 3 toilets, dripping taps, major leak due to more faulty plumbing causing a slow leak over time rotting away pipes and coming through their living room ceiling. Flooding in their garden then having to install french drains to overcome this major problem too just to name a few. When contacting Dandara they made excuses and were not interested in helping them at all even though my parents have paid for all these issues themselves to get them resolved before further damage was caused. I would not recommend or use them EVER as clearly once they have your money they are not interested at all! Having spoken to several residents through the residents group chat it is clear these problems are throughout several of the properties here.

Wonderful Team at Dandara- Sarah, Chad, Bobby have been absolutely brillant with assisting us on our first property at New River View, Winchmore Hill. From the very day one, Sarah (our Sales Consultant) has ensured that all necessary information was provided to us so that we could proceed with making an informed decision on our property and follow the right process. The Team has been absolutely amazing, professional and especially very prompt at always providing us with updates as to where we reached RE each step of the process. I will definitely recommend Dandara to everyone and cannot help but thank this wonderful Team for their constant support, assistance, help and showing us how great this property journey has been and will continue to be. The cardinals - Cheshunt

I purchased this 3 bed semi-detached property from the original owners 3 months ago. I have never seen poor workmanship, finishing and so many corners cut to save money. There are to many examples to list here, but one example is the boiler. I had an ideal engineer out to service it and he found parts that were not fitted properly and fitting lying loose in the bottom of the unit. They also didn't fit a filter to prevent gunk build-up in the radiators. Everywhere you look there is something that hasn't been done properly or with care. Do not purchase a home from this developer (not builders), they have no interest in customer satisfaction or quality.

Dandara builds unsafe buildings but doesn't take responsibility.

Dandara, Moor End Lodge, Hemel Hempstead.I own a flat in Moor End Lodge. It has recently failed it's EWS1 inspection. The cladding is flammable, fire stopping is missing, fire breaks have not been installed within the facade and the balcony decking is both inflammable and not fire treated.Dandara are not taking responsibility and I for one am facing a circa £40,000 contribution to remedial works. Not to mention the fear and effect on my mental health living in an unsafe building.Be warned: do not buy a flat from this company unless a survey by a reputable firm gives it a clean bill of health.

Dandara Ashgrove dream home

We recently bought our first family home at Ashgrove with dandara and have had an amazing experience start to finish. We dealt exclusively with Emma waddle who has been amazing at every step, taking time to explain everything and keep us informed. We really feel like Emma took the time to get to know us and make the experience personal even though she deals with people buying houses everyday. We are expecting our first baby and she has made sure everything has gone smoothly for us, she has been so lovely and helpful we couldn’t have asked for someone nicer. The site manager has also been great as have loads of the team on site. The finish on the property is lovely and after buying with Baratt homes a few years back the customer service and experience we’ve had with dandara has been in a different league. So so happy to have our dream home!

BEWARE of DANDARA RESERVATION CONTRACTS

I am an elderly, vulnerable 81 year old pensioner. In January this year we decided to downsize our home and thought that no 17 Willow Grove was ideal for our purpose.We paid a deposit and signed a contract on 21st January.Everything was fine until our contract expired due to other parties not being ready to exchange.As per contract terms I requested a refund of my depositI was told that their solicitor ( who Dandara will not name) has informed management that according to the Builders Code of Practice we must pay £750.00 in costs!We did not sign any Code of Practice and only signed a Reservation Agreement.The Reservation Agreement states;"The Buyer has the right to cancel the reservation at any time"."If the Buyer cancels the Reservation Agreement, the Seller agrees to payback the Reservation Fee less any reasonable administrative and any other costs incurred in processing and holding the reservation.""the range of such deductions will be between £0 and £0".Other clients of Dandara may recognise the wording?I can supply my original contract if needed.No refund has been forthcoming.Management has stopped returning my calls and does not answer any emails.That such a large high profile company should treat an 81 year old gentleman in such a manner is appalling.I fail to understand how they do not feel bound by a contract that they have signed?Reading other complaints in the review section it is obvious that one of their tactics about complaints is not to reply and trust that the complainant will lose interest.This is a WARNING for anyone contemplating signing any contract with Dandara be aware that the company feel that contracts are not for them and are not honoured.I am having to go to the Courts for a remedy of my contract.Hardly the way a huge, high profile company should behave?Michael F.

No care for clients.

About two months ago I was looking to try and buy a new built in Haddenham with Dandara but have become so disillusioned with the different stories you are told, the inability to be honest and then the straight out and out lies that I have had enough of them. It started with "you can not view the house you want until you have sold your own" so why would I buy a home sight unseen and their response ignore it. I was after a 3 bed link but they only wanted to sell me what they had which was 3 bed semi - they did not seem to understand that I buy what I want and not what they want to sell me so we parted company. About a week ago I get an e-mail telling me that there was more property I was interested in on sale, after a quick check the prices had gone up £50k for the next phase, they were not built and there were no show homes and they would not be completed till early 2022. Now they were offering a more expensive house, now with stamp duty,can not see what they are selling and you are buying and having to wait nearly a year - really do not understand their potential market do they and also I still had to sell mine to get a viewing when they were built!!!Yesterday I get a phone call from Johnathan to say that they had a 3 bed link back on the market and a 3 bed semi and that views could be sorted. I checked with the wife yesterday evening and phoned The Grove Haddenham at 1000 this morning, now I get Janet who says that the 3 bed link is alkready sold and the 3 bed semi has not been built and there are no viewings - I was shocked to find that such a wonderful company ( as so many say their are (sick)) would even consider lying to their client base.I wil say that the layout of the estate was brilliant and the types of property for sale made it look so much better than other estates look but at the same time if you are prepared to be a mushroom ( kept in the dark and fed bull**it) then these might be the people for you.

I couldn’t be happier with the customer service I received, particularly from Leigh, she has been so helpful and friendly with all my queries and Leigh has gone above and beyond to make sure my house was perfect for me. I could not fault the house, everything was exactly as nice as I expected it to be and the site manager has made sure any issues I have with the new property down the line - just to let him know and he will be more than happy to fix it.
