First Time Buyers.

As first time we had no idea what to expect when buying a house, we needn’t have worried after deciding to buy with countryside. Initially we had gone with another developer but what countryside offered and included was far superior.From day one we were kept up to date on everything, from the progress of our house to the purchase procedure and everything we needed to do. Sian and Annabel were brilliant and went above and beyond to help us with a few difficult situations which resolved them completely. Even after completion we have called on them to help which was done instantly. We would recommend buying a countryside property to anyone and hope they are lucky enough to deal with Annabel and Sian. Countryside Properties- Abbotsfield St. Helens✨

We began our journey in June 2020 by going for a look around the Abbotsfield development site in St. Helens, in the hopes of securing a property with shared ownership. After a 5 minute enquiry, Lisa Bryan from the sales team encouraged us to take advantage of the help to buy scheme and the incentives Countryside had to offer, so we could completely own our own home! That same day we were contacted by Niki Lamens from Fidenti (mortgage broker) who handled the mortgage from start to finish. I can’t recommend Countryside enough. We were also lucky enough to get to choose our interior finishing touches as we reserved before the building commenced. Being a first time buyer, I was so anxious throughout! But one phone call to Lisa Bryan or Angela Knight and they put my mind at ease right away. They always had a ‘if it matters to you, it matters to me’ kind of attitude, no matter how big or small my concerns were. They are just amazing at what they do! Thank you ♥️ Anyway.. WE ARE IN!! Great Customer Service! Jesse Moffat at Abington place, Northampton has been very supportive, efficient and informative. We loved a 4 bed house at Abington place but didn’t reserve it in the end because of financial reasons. It was everything we wanted. Hopefully, we will buy one in the future. Smooth purchase from Countryside

As a first-time buyer, I was somewhat apprehensive about buying a new-build home having heard horror stories about exploitative leaseholds and low quality materials.But I'm very happy to say that I have had no issues with my home so far (except for some minor snags). The quality of the home is above what I expected, and all the basics came included with the house plus some nice extras (flooring, solar panels, patio paving, even a wooden shed).I'm also very grateful to Sharn and Louise in particular who made the process a smooth one, despite the year's events. DRIVE THROUGH ON A “CLOSE.”

Rarely write a review and have a tendency to focus on the positives rather than the negatives. But this is a must. Did our research and purchased a 300k house in Birmingham on a private road, to be maintained by residents. Was told numerous times the end of the road will be blocked as as it’s called Cr*** Gr*** Close and sold as a “close” so non residents cannot use it as a short cut. Guess what? Now all properties have purchased and completed, they have dropped the kerb at the end, allowing non residents to drive through! Contacting solicitors first thing and residents are furious. Already contacted the media. Let the party start Countryside.

Countryside properties have made our move and home to an exceptional standard , the quality of the build along with the after care is above and beyond . I have bought numerous new properties before but nothing has come close to my new build . The girls in the office along with the site managers have gone out of their way to make sure we are happy , from picking our plot to any little snags . Nothing has been any trouble and are their on site if we need them . As they say you get what you pay for, everything is quality and we are so happy we made the move to Duttonfields .

First two months

We moved into our new countryside home a couple of months ago now and the team have been fantastic. As with all new builds you get some snags which on-site customer services could not be happier to help with or more accommodating.Pre-move in, the sales team were absolutely amazing and helped us out every step of the way (*Shout out to Stuart - without who we would probably not have got the house, definitely not within the timelines we managed to complete the sale in). Slightly less positive to deal with the work completed by contractors and less support/friendliness given from more centralised Countryside customer service. But all onsite are very friendly.On the whole would definitely recommend as lovely home that suits our lifestyle and lovely team at Wakefield.

Radio Noise Nuisance on Coutryside Building Site…

If you live near to Countryside building site or there is one due near you have my deepest sympathy. They have a policy on site of radio usage with no noise level restrictions. They volume is causing misery and when you complain they do nothing to stop this. The Head Office contact was rude and dismissive. Please take our advice and contact the CEO office. We have been living with this for eight weeks now and the site is likely to be under construction for some time. They are not responsible and have total disregard for existing residents.

over promise, under deliver

They were amazing, right up to the day we moved in. And then it was like we were abandoned and fending for ourselves. Not only does the customer service completely drop off the radar, but they also back track on promises made. We purchased our house on the basis there was going to be an access path built at the end of the developement providing safe access for children to the school, providing a direct route for all residents to the center of the village and the playpark, and providing a link from our development to the rest of the village. After selling all of the plots, they have now decided not to go ahead with this access, without consulting residents, or didn't even inform resident either. To say they over promised and then under delivered is an understatement. There is no consideration for residents AFTER you move in and have paid your money, and there is NO transparency or communication. We are sincerely absolutely disappointed with Countryside, and have learned a hard lesson.I emailed my concerns about footpath and breach of plan condition on Sunday 8 November to “group” email address, still no reply on Thursday 12th November.

Countryside property - Coppenhall Place

We originally had been looking to buy our first house for nearly two years, new and older builds but hitting new problems with each attempt. We had seen the Coppenhall Place was coming to the area and decided to go and have a chat with the sales team. We were first on the doorstep of opening day and we have recently moved in to our property!Our first contact was with Martin who dealt with most of our first stages of the purchase, until moving office, and we used their recommended mortgage advisor Mike who was also brilliant. The purchase came with its difficulties thanks to COVID-19 but we're grateful to be at the other end. Penny and Victoria then took care of us through the latter stages of our purchase, to completion and aftercare and have always insisted that we get in touch if we need them. They have been quick to call or email to check on things for us or respond to us. The site manager Natalie has been absolutely excellent. She has kept in contact through-out, rectifying any issues we may have and answering any questions. There have been some snags which we expected, but they have been dealt with swiftly, Natalie has ensured that the site team could work around our schedule as much as possible, all of whom have been lovely. We feel very lucky that she is on our site!Our home is beautiful and we are thrilled to finally be home owners, with help from all at Countryside, Coppenhall Place.

Fantastic Sales Consultants and Site Team!Countryside development has some of the best sales Consultants and Site team by far, especially the Coppenhall place development. Victoria and Penny have been nothing but incredible through my entire home purchase journey, and home move transition. They have gone above and beyond to ensure that I have every support required, information about the area, help with snags, even keeping me company on completion day, as covid meant that I could not have my family with me on the day. The Site team, especially Nat, have made it such that any issue raised has been resolved without any complaint, and very promptly, and your house, I believe every single house is a priority to the site team. A massive thank you to Penny and Victoria, who were like my family here before I had family over during covid. Thank you Penny for all the advice, help, and even helping me to print documents before our printer arrived. It would not have been the same without you.

Wasteland 2 years post moving in

We bought a Countryside property in Sept 18. Its a small development of circa 80 houses. There is a large open area which should be turfed, a childrens play area, a walkway round the whole development, willow tunnel etc etc all the nice things you would expect and sold when you go through the sales process. It is still a wasteland even though Countryside finished on site 18 months ago. Nothing from their management or customer care. Total disregard and no interest in resolving. On top of this add in a total fiasco with waste water suppliers so residents paid the wrong supplier, their landscaping management team, Chamonix (who have affiliations with Countryside) who work on other Countryside developments (google for widely publicised battles) all our upstairs floor boards needed to be secured as the roof was left off for too long (a contractor who worked on the development told us this) very poor paint finish throughout - pencil circles all over the place so clearly not checked before handing over to us. Very poor parking arrangements which means cars are dumped everywhere, not enough visitors spaces. The list is endless. The Customer Care has been woeful. All helpful for the 1st few weeks and then unfortunately drops off. To be living on a development with wasteland (and believe me it looks awful) 2 years since purchasing is quite unbelievable that they can get away with it.
