GoogleWe used Colubrid for the recent sale of our property, choosing them after meeting with several estate agents. They were confident they could achieve a top price and advised listing at what we felt was a high valuation, something we were assured was appropriate. Unfortunately, this proved optimistic. After two weeks with no interest, we reduced the price by £25k, and then again by a further £25k as interest remained limited. We eventually secured a buyer at a much lower price, having carried out the majority of the viewings ourselves despite initially being told these would be managed for us. That said, once the sale was agreed, the back-office team were excellent, efficient, responsive, and easy to deal with throughout. We also used our own solicitors, which likely helped keep things moving smoothly. Overall, we would recommend them, but advise others to be mindful around initial pricing expectations.

GoogleComplete joke of a business, I genuinely don’t understand how they’re still operating. Booked a viewing, called ahead to say I’d be 5 minutes late, and was told “no problem” and that their colleague would be informed. Clearly that meant absolutely nothing. We turn up after going out of our way to get there, and surprise, no agent, no call, no message, no sign of anyone. The place itself was awkward to find, and I ended up calling them non-stop, easily 15, 20 times, trying to figure out where this so-called agent was. Nothing. Ignored. Zero effort to help, zero professionalism. What really tops it off is the absolute lack of basic communication. The agent who was meant to be there didn’t bother showing up or checking in, and the one in the office, who knew we were trying to locate their colleague, just stopped answering completely. Who does that? It’s beyond incompetent. This isn’t just poor service, it’s a complete waste of time and a total shambles from start to finish. No organisation, no accountability, no respect for clients whatsoever. Avoid at all costs unless you enjoy being ignored and messed around.

Lea, who showed me around, was so friendly and made me feel valued, even when she had her hands full with other people viewing the same property. I’m still in the early stages of the process, but it’s great to know I can reach out to the team for advice and support.

GoogleWe sold our property through Colubrid Estate Agents, and although the process took around 10 months and involved challenges, including losing our first buyer, the team remained outstanding throughout. Rob, in particular, was excellent. He managed the buyer side with great professionalism and kept everything moving despite delays from solicitors. He was always polite, supportive, and proactive, which made the whole experience much smoother for us. GoogleWe were extremely pleased with Colubrid and their approach and support with selling our house. We had seen their agents in chelmer village square and other houses with their signs up. That along with their personable approach and good commission rates made us choose this agent and we were not disappointed and sold our house in a week. They weren’t as pushy as other agents we had had round and that we liked. Millie in particular was extremely friendly and professional and I was pleased she was the one doing the viewings on our home which resulted in success. Would use this agent again.

GoogleWe finally moved into our new home on Friday... I cannot rate Colubrid enough! From start to finish, we had a seamless and easy experience. Josh did our initial appointment/sales and was energetic, on job, easy to deal with. He gave us realistic expectations and advice and following that our property sold quickly. A special mention to Lisa who is head of sales progression and completion. From the beginning, Lisa was communicating regularly without any prompting, with a cheerful disposition. Always reassuring us that all was in hand, she chased up the necessaries from all sides(including us) to ensure the sale progressed. Lisa even came and picked up keys from us two days before completion to save us a trip to the estate agents. She goes above and beyond and truly is an asset to Colubrid. I would not hesitate to use this company again, solely to work with. 100% recommend the team without hesitation.

GoogleI recently sold my house with colubrid and cannot fault them , my house was sold within 2 weeks. We had around 30 viewings in the first week with several offers. I was kept up to date at every stage, we had a buyer pull out and the next day they had another buyer at the same offer ready to go. Special mention to Joshua who did the valuation , he made me feel at ease straight away and I trusted he could sell the house quickly. The whole team are really friendly and easy to get in touch with.

GoogleReally poor service, arranged a viewing only to be phoned and told it was cancelled due to an offer being accepted. Get that, fair enough! But no offer to look at any other properties; assistant manager was incredibly rude to my partner with short one word answers.
