GoogleI placed an offer and the offer was accepted. I provided my AIP the next day. It is the responsibility of the agent to cancel further viewings and to take the next step to remove the property from the market. Instead, they allowed further viewings stating that an offer was already placed. Later someone placed a higher offer than me and I lost the property. When I asked the agent they said the time between the offer being accepted and the AIP received they accepted a few viewings and the seller insisted agent to continue with viewing even though the offer is accepted. The agent tried their best to cancel the viewing but the seller doesn't agree which is not fair. So if you are a buyer once the offer is accepted insist on them and cancel all viewings. Agent should do it without asking. Looks like money is more important than professionalism.
Dear Mr Kuppusamy, We are really disappointed to read your review and that you are unhappy with the service provided to you when trying to purchase a property through our company. Firstly, please let me apologise to you for the experience that you had, we take your comments and review very seriously. Hopefully you can see from all of our other reviews that we are a genuine and reputable company and we take pride in our reputation. That’s why it’s so disappointing to read your review. I know that Joshua from our office has already contacted you and asked if you would consider removing this review as it is not our fault that you lost out on purchasing the property and we feel it Is unjust and unfair that this negative review could tarnish our reputation but you were not willing to do so. So we will reply in full below. I have read the file regarding the offer you made on one of our properties. I am aware that you had made an offer that was acceptable to our vendor and the offer was accepted providing that you produced all documentation that we require and that the property would remain on the market until we received this from you. This is company policy as we have a duty of care to our vendors not to remove a property from the market until a buyer has been qualified that they are in a financial position to proceed with the property purchase. If we just accepted buyers offers and removed properties from the market without any buyer or financial qualification then we would not be providing the best service to our sellers and certainly would not be fulfilling our duties as an Estate Agent. You were made aware that the property would remain on the market until the documentation had been provided. Unfortunately, in the time of waiting for you to provide the above documentation a higher offer was then made by another buyer for the property that the vendor chose to accept. We have a legal obligation to put offers forward to our vendor. We actually advised our vendor to proceed with you as the property buyer in spite of the other offer being at a higher amount because we genuinely believed that you were in a better position as a buyer. However, ultimately it is the vendors decision which buyer/offer they choose to proceed with and we have to take their instructions. We are the acting agent for the sale of the property, not the homeowner. I note your comment that “money is more important than professionalism” and take this quite personally because this is certainly not the case. I would like to make you aware that for the sale of this property we were operating on a fixed commission fee not a percentage of the sale price so we would not be financially benefitted in anyway by proceeding with the higher offer. The only person financially benefitted would be the vendor. I wanted to make this abundantly clear because I certainly would not want you thinking that we specifically tried to sell the property to another buyer for our own financial gain. This is absolutely not the case. We sincerely apologise that you were unable to purchase the property on this occasion and wish you the best of luck with your property search. Personally chose colubrid because they were in easy reach of my house rather than going into Chelmsford city centre & using chain estate agents ! Very pleased with how my sale has gone !

GoogleKeely the customer relationship manager is an absolute credit to the company. I had problems with my sale with a different branch, but Keely built trust with me and went out of her way at her own personal expense to do everything she could to help me. She was in regular contact, sometimes outside of her working hours, because she genuinely cared and wanted to help. After having issues with another branch, Keely personally did the viewings on my house outside of her usual area, outside of her usual hours and at at her own travel cost. I can't thank Keely enough for her efforts, dedication, care and emotional support. She truly went above and beyond her role to try to rectify things that were not of her doing and was genuine throughout. Keely really shared the journey with me and understood the situation.

GoogleSuch lovely people to deal with! I made an enquiry via RightMove and Joshua called me back almost straight away, he answered my 8,000 questions with astounding patience and organised for Mark to come and meet me and value our home. He did so, was very very helpful and polite and pleasant to deal with. He also recommended a mortgage broker for us, who has also been wonderful to deal with. They keep in touch without harassing, are always on hand and I think they are just terrific. Highly recommended.

Having sold subject contract in just over 4 weeks I have been really happy with the service and have found all the staff very approachable and helpful. GoogleI cannot fault the service we have received from Colubrid, with a particular thanks to Keely, Joshua and Mark. Everyone has been really friendly and gone above and beyond to help with our house sale. Everything was explained clearly to me at the valuation stage and the team were quick to arrange viewings for us. This was on Friday and by Monday afternoon we had accepted an offer! They have been prompt in sending out documents to get things moving and answer any questions I have straight away. I definitely recommend them, fantastic customer service.
