GoogleVery disappointed with the poor service from Amy at the Wotton Bassett office. We viewed a property to rent but as the tenants were there couldn't see it properly. We asked to view again properly and paid one weeks rent to reserve the property. The property had mould in 5 different rooms when we viewed it properly, we were told it was due to a water leak. The landlady said she wasn't aware of a leak so do not feel we were being given correct information and pulled out. Amy declined to return our deposit based on cause 17. I asked for the complaint procedure and 5 days have passed she has not bothered to answer my email. I feel Charles Harding are unprofessional and do not deal with clients with the utmost good faith.

Currently renting a house from Charles Harding and the shower has stopped working about 5 times now, this time round I was told I’d have a guy come out to fix it in 3 days, so I waited indoors all day for someone to come out and then nobody showed up so I then called them up and told them I need a shower so please can you get someone else out, was then very rude to me on the phone treated me like I’m an idiot. And still I’m yet to have a shower.. appalling do not rent any houses from these guys as they don’t help at all

GoogleMistakes happen but this needed to be looked into seriously so it doesn't happen again. Me and my wife were in our flat when we got the surprise of our life as three people started to enter our flat, as we were both in and no one else loves here you can imagine our shock It was a member of Charles Harding who used a key they had of our flat which we are renting to come in and show two people around! I instantly complained to the company and I'll be honest I don't think they took it seriously enough. Just because they have the keys unless a landlord collects them (something I didn't know) doesn't mean they should use them without checking the status or the place. Imagine if no one had been in or we had been away for a few weeks, we could have returned to find others living in our flat! Surely someone should have visited the flat before bringing people for viewings. Also we could have been doing anything when they walked in, this really wasn't ok.

GoogleThey were fine. Sold our house quickly, but I suspect the area and type of house did most of the work to be honest. We didn't hear much after that, apart from looking in viewings for the buyers. They did forget to book one in, but did call to cancel it, so that was interesting. We had also agreed a fee percentage at time of choosing them, we found that this had been increased by 0.5% by the time the final financials came through from our solicitors, left a really sour taste but we were so exhausted by the whole process we didn't take it further. They hadn't emailed or posted over a copy of the signed contract as asked anyway, so couldn't have easily checked if we were mistaken. When asking a question about the house (we had purchased the house through them over 10 years earlier), we got a rather disappointing response after a couple of days of chasing fobbing us off to our solicitors as they hadn't fully read my question, only when challenged to read my question again did their tone change. In short, they were fine, they did the job, but we would certainly not use them again, nor recommend them. The agents representing the house we purchased were fantastic on the other hand, couldn't have done more and communication was excellent. They even gave us a goody bag when we collected the keys!

GoogleCharles Harding have been great. We had never sold a house before so they helped us understand the process. We dealt with pretty much everyone in the branch but in particular James was our primary contact and he was really easy to talk to. In particular he was great on the initial visit to our house with our dog and toddler running about. We put a lot of pressure on the team to get things done fast and they helped us get to completion in under 9 weeks. Thanks to everyone involved!
