Bad site to deliver to badly organised. make you wait outside blocking up the road and the gate man is rude and wonβt let you sort things out on your OWN truck. Left on site waiting around for an hour with no supervision and no direction. Hopefully they sort themselves it I ever come back

Avoid their buildings & terrible service
Updated 16.03.2024 - Still not fixed though they have now plan in place but it's been 12 months with broken glass. The worst Experience I have had I still can't believe I was asked to remove 1 star review. Updated 17.01.2024 It comes to light that by the Lease Document Berkeley as Landlord is responsible for repairs of the windows and replacement. They were aware of my case from last year and have done absolutely nothing. Whilst everyone is looking at whom to blame is great to witness this in Legal Documents such as Lease and wonder what the Head of Estate who works on site is doing day to day. Also, the Fancy Door Entry System Wifi is cut again for 3 months and not working. So buy into their "future home" that is not working. Updated 04.11.2023So I did change review as per below from 1 to 5 as they insisted on this whilst promising to fix things however nothing is done and itβs New Year already. So here I will share how they try to cheat trustpilot system by asking directly for changes of review and yet not doing anything. So I have issues with their building (how they build) & their managing agent Greenquarter - one of largest regeneration projects has building defect of internal structures missed and people has to be temporarily rehoused as well as future repairs have no plan in place so you will be left with hefty price to pay for external redecorations. They also allowed managing agent to increase service charge for managing fee whilst service is appalling. Service charge is signed off by landlord The Berkeley Group. No idea who is the Building insurance as have no details and when got email no one is getting back - great spend of 125k in 2022 on annual insurance provided by the landlord that you canβt use. Updated 15.11.2023They sent me agent to check and promised to remedy situation if I remove 1 star review.

Professionalism
So good in leading/explaining to us through all issues that a new home buyer needs or may not know patiently and professionally. Special thanks to Martina Bird, so good before, during and after our stay in UK in early Feb.

Discrimination of clients
We had the most disappointing customer experience one could imagine. We made a deposit for a flat and after a couple of months we got a phone call from Berkeley sales manager saying that they are breaking the deal because of our nationality. Our family is shocked. Berkeley rejected to compensate the cost of solicitor services - more then 4k pounds which is a big hit for our family budget with a small kid. This is a disgusting and discriminatory company.

Excellent Company
Excellent Company. In my 25 year property career we have completed on thousands of apartments. Dealing with Berkeley Homes was the best experience I have had. The customer service was excellent. The specification and level of finish in the apartment and as importantly the communal was second to no company. If all the completion experiences were like this my working life would be much easier

To be honest
To be honest, as a first-time homebuyer, I can say that from the very initial viewing to handing over and moving in, it was very smooth and professionally managed by The Green Quarter team. The built quality and the amenities are unmatched. Lots of green spaces are a plus.

Nightmare company
Nightmare company. Don't care about who lives around their builders sites. Start banging and drilling before they should. The most inconsiderate company I know.

Buyers beware
Buyers beware ! See note sent to Berkeley Homes from us at Green Park, ReadingGood evening,We received by post a photograph of our vehicle outside our front door. Apparently, we are to pay for this intrusion. Some kind of levy for parking. We wish to inform you our vehicle parks on our drive, except of course when it is in use, and this includes such dull things as going out to buy food and such like and bringing this into our home. We also do other ordinary stuff like packing things into our vehicle before a journey. We take exception to your or affiliated individuals or firms intruding upon our privacy and asking for money. This is no more than begging without a cause and a nuisance. Take this as notice from us to you to cease and desist this pernicious behaviour. We tolerate no intrusion or hindrance to the ordinary enjoyment of our home and reasonable use of its environs. Doubtless you will want to share this with senior management. Anymore notices or other communications demanding money or threat of something will be taken to the police with copy of this complaint. No other communication will be sent to you, or any persons or firms affiliated to you.Take note and stop this intrusion forthwith.

House Held Together with Pritt Stick
I have been living in a Berkeley home since January 2019 from a new build and since then my roof has literally been slipping off three times since this date. The first time when we had winds the tiles just slid off. This was within the two year warranty period and Berkeley did arrange for this to be repaired. However, the second time it happened two years later I complained to them as the roof tiles literally just slipped off again and also this time causing a roof leak. To this they replied it was because I was living in a windy area?!! There are far more windy areas around the UK and in particular coastal regions where roofs do not just slip away every time there are some strong winds. So the third time in 4 years as I write this, loads of roof tiles have literally just slipped off crashing into the back garden and also smashing through my glass garden table. Not only is this causing stress with the cost of repairs if I canβt get this repaired through their Premier Guarantee but the danger to life having roof tiles just flying off as a blessing no one was actually standing there at the time. Now I wait again for the roof leaks that I only got repaired two years ago with no help at all from Berkeley Homes. The amount of money these houses cost does not reflect the shoddy build and zero customer service once theyβve grabbed your money.

I am base in Thailand and this is my first property in UK. So most of thing are really new to me. So I have a lot of challenge asking my query with Berkeley staff. They are not really willing to give support. For example, I am asking how often we need to do grass cutting. The answer was they are not specialized and they have no involvement with lawn care service.Really disappointed

Borderline Modern Slavery - don't sell land to them
This company should not be sold land to EVER!!Look at the Glass door reviews - the staff are bullied, overworked, understaffed, HSE should be a regular visitor! If someone does not obey, they are fired on the spot - please don't buy their overpriced houses designed for rich overseas clients. Boycott by not buying houses and not selling them land. There are so many better builders.
